Lolrotf! I was playing scrabble with my teenage son once and he wanted me to accept the word gangsta! So now we sometimes play gangsta scrabble and we allow slang just for a change!

It's probably in the dictionary by now.

Along with bogan and douchebag.

OT Alert: I am reading a biography right now, takes place in late 18th century and the mother of the family complains that she no longer understands the young people and their jargon and slang, lol. Times don't change as much as we think they do.

Just a note this evening: Lyric's mother surfaced today and issued a statement to news media basically saying 'I dont want to hear the gruesome details; our girls are with God and that is all that matters'.

Evidently, public speculation has reached a high pitch with many people trying to speculate on details ...

I wont speculate beyond the mother's statement issued today.

Actually, it was Elizabeth's mother, Heather Collins, who issued the statement. But I know what you're saying, and who can blame her for not wanting to know all of the horrible details.

It's inevitable that there will be speculation, IMO, because so many of us have followed this case for so long that we've become invested in it. There are times when I may think someone has gone a little overboard with their speculations, but I'm also sure there are times when I've done the same thing.

I certainly respect Heather's desire not to know all the details. But I don't think that by speculating here on WS we are doing any disservice to her, or to Lyric and Lizzie. JMO

I do not think for one second it was "revenge" either.

I haven't changed my mind one iota since day One and nothing that has occured since has been inconsistent with my theory.

You could read my old posts but I don't suspect a random abduction, nor a sexual attack, nor a revenge attack, and that pretty much only leaves one scenario.

Gah I have followed along since the beginning and must have completely misunderstsood your theory.

I have several theories, then I read others and think oh that makes sense too. I need sleep.

Does anyone here believe that maybe the POI is not a RSO?

I think it could be but don't have enough to go on. I'm divided in a few directions but it's smells close. I hope so for the family. I'm open to whoever it is right now.

I think these people are under inhumane pressure and I dont begin to
imagine how they are keeping it together. I did hear a rumor that one of
the mother's spent some time at the hospital following the girl's discovery.
They evidently believed the girls were still alive and were counting on that
...

Misty was a frequent flier in ER for a while there.

LE believed they were alive too.

I think they may well have been alive up until very recently.

I am desperate for the autopsy results, anything will do, even one word or sentence.

I'm not being snarky, just frustrated in my attempt to google this out. Can you refer me to the story? So far, all I can find are msm stories about Heather Collins, who is Elizabeth's mother, rather than Misty Cook-Morrissey, who is Lyric's mother.

The Heather stories almost all include a quote from her saying that she doesn't want to know the details of what happened.

Thanks for correcting the details - I heard the statement on the radio today and was busy at the time - thanks.

Misty and Dan have been silent so far, as far as I know.

I heard it on Iowa Public Radio but later in passing on KCRG ... if that helps.

To my mind, they haven't cut down any large trees (old growth), if they had they'd still be logging and there'd be drag marks our huge trunks everywhere.

It appears to be a natural clearing...or at least, to not have a thick canopy overhead like the rest of the area.

I just find something about this dump site to be so odd, I'm trying out every theory to explain it.

Maybe this location, this clearing, has strong meaning to the killer? Camped out with friends long ago, fished there with a family member, maybe was dumped by a girlfriend there? I don't know if a positive memory, or a negative memory, would draw a killer back to a certain spot.

Frankly, Im wondering if they will release those any time soon, in light of
the statement today. That is why I didnt want to speculate about the full
possible meaning of the statement today - LE may be honoring family
requests for as few details as possible ?

Due in part (but not entirely) to the LE statement that parents do need to be cautious with their kids (paraphrased), I am starting to doubt that the killer is an RSO. For every one they manage to catch and put on the registry, there are a lot more that aren't on a registry.

LE have not released one syllable more than they felt necessary, the entire way through this case.

It has been very frustrating but we all can swallow that if it means there's an arrest imminent.

I sincerely believe there is an arrest, or more than one, just around the corner.

Ps. I like these Iowa guys. Strong silent types. :)

I would think that volunteers would help her in a half way house.

I definitely agree with this. I'm thinking maybe she wants to be more "hands on" with the planning? I don't know, just a thought I had. I also haven't seen any indication of how delayed the celebration for Lyric is. It could well be before Misty's back home.

Oh God I hope you're right! If only for closure for the families.

Im praying the FBI/BCI found some real evidence at that site.

There are great forensic facilities and expertise available in this State

that would help if need be. When people showed up from Omaha that

indicated to me how seriously this is being taken.

I don't think LE will say much about the cause of death or the crime scene at all, before a future trial. Especially if they do not even have a suspect; they have to keep most things back to try to weed out cranks, etc.

My hope is that, somehow, there won't be a trial, that LE can find enough evidence to match up with a suspect that they plead guilty. I think a trial might be too much for the parents. At a trial, they will have to hear every single detail.

The tweets & I believe the news stated the LE were checking for meth related offenders and RSO's right off the bat. Standard procedure since finding the girls in a whole different county. It opened up a wider range to maybe connect it all for an arrest.

CVM (Cedar Valley Mugshots), is putting all the child molesters on their site. Whether it's quarterly reviews or a coincidence that they all molested children 0-13 is curious. CF sure is winning though.

jmo

CF photo looks like he was on meth/drugs when it was taken. Hummmm.... drug connection......my thoughts are that this was not a payback for a plea bargain but that one or both of the girls were around when drugs were being made (DM and MM house is listed for sale as a meth house) or when drugs were being sold. The perp liked the child he saw (probably only Lyric) and fantasized until he could convince her to meet him alone. I also think the Lyric and Tammy's daughter met the perp the week prior. Is it CF? Tammy's daughter is the only one who knows where she and Lyric went and who (if anyone) they met. I am grasping for straws like everyone else. IMO
