I'm on your side 1000%!!

We have sides now?:waitasec:

I thought we were all after the same thing, justice for Lyric and Lizzie.

I guess I'm too harsh, but sometimes things just rub me the wrong way.

Morning all. I am wearing a new username so you may not recognize me right away. Heading back to read what I've missed. Bear with me, flu running rampant through my house. Not firing non all clylinders yet.

Ugh...the flu stinks! My mom had the stomach flu over Christmas and she felt HORRIBLE for about 3 days. It is not a fun thing to have. Hope you guys get to feeling better soon!

We've all had the regular flu shot...which of course does nothing for the stomach flu, but if there were a shot for the stomach flu I'd consider spending some serious $$ to prevent that nastiness from ripping through my house!:floorlaugh:

It seems to me that there are a number of times that have been provided by investigators, but the information has been spread out over five months. It is true that police sometimes release false information to generate leads. I'm not convinced that there's a good reason for police to release incorrect times when two children are missing.

12:11 - video surveillance; video is 8 minutes slow ... that's where it seems to start.

Just curious, did LE ever confirm that the video was 8 minutes slow or do we just have the auction guy's word for that?

Agreed as to the point about there not being sides in here.

It is a known fact that LE sometimes witholds info from the public at times. The trick is to figure our when they are doing so and which info is being witheld. There are not winners when two children are dead.

To my knowledge, LE has never said whether this time difference was confirmed.

We know that Grandma and the girls were not at the same place at the same time, but that doesn't actually tell us which route they may have taken. I lost my wife in the grocery store the other day and even though I circled the place and looked up and down every aisle multiple times, I never saw her once. She was in the store the whole time.

Yes but most people are afraid to call out for the missing one in a grocery store. It seems to me that Grandma would have called (yelled) for them too, not just do a quick drive by glancing around. I would have, especially if I was concerned enough to go in search of them. The more time that passed the louder I would get too. Proven from my past experiences...LOL

Here, I think prosecutors are relieved when they can assign the case to someone else. The really "good" or horrible cases aren't fought over because, as prosecutors, their lives are consumed with delving into the minds of evil people. It consumes them in many ways. Senior prosecutors take turns answering calls on the weekend ... in case police need to touch base because there's a serious crime. The case is then assigned to someone on the team.

Maybe it looks like children vying for the big ones, but I think that it's possible that after the first "good" case, they are relieved when it's passed to someone else ... at least, around here.

To my knowledge, they take the big cases to make names for themselves. Many of our local criminal defense lawyers started out in the DA's office.

As to the reports that parents were told girls were killed within days of being taken. IMO that does not necessarily indicate they were kept alive or that 7 bridges was merely a dump sight. It is not uncommon after a body has been exposed to elements and decomposed for months for the ME to be unable to gives the exact time of death to the day/hour/minute.

In those circumstances, the best the ME can do is give an approximation, which is what has happened here.

MOO

I dont think there are sides. Nobody know these answers yet. Only the killer. But some things people may just agree with what simeone might be saying. I am still waiting to hear back what He exactly meant by rift and LE behind it.

Don't others use prosecuting as a way into politics? Again, get the big cases, make your name, then run for office.

LE will not say anything that will jeopardize their investigation and when they do you have to learn to read between the lines and believe me its not always that easy to figure out. Their well aware of the fact that there is someone or dangerous people that are on the street still and yet they haven't really warned the public because they don't want people to panic.

From the first report of 2 two girls missing I thought a family member then shifted to an outsider, and now I am thinking two perps. With that said I am thinking one could possibly be jmo a female. And I have wondered how LE would handle it as far as the public is concerned. I am bothered a little that no warnings have been given out. I do hate to say this but I fear it will happen again. I can't imagine this being an isolated killing. I do believe that who ever it is is local. I don't want them to do anything that would compromise an arrest, but I think the people in that area should be warned. jmo

I think the suggestion is that LE is behind the seeming rift between Heather and her sister Misty that hhas been played our amongst their facebook friends. To what end I am still unclear.

Having a tough time imagining what LE would gain by getting involved in such an endeavor but I believe that is the suggestion put forth.

As I am going back through all of the early interviews with The family, my heart is breaking all over again. Especially for Wylma. I am very close with my grandmother and I have been since I was very young. My mom worked two jobs and my dad worked long hours in the steel mill, so I was always with my grandma if I wasn't at school. Wylma seems to have very much the same role in the lives of her grandkids as my gram did with me. Very sad to read her statements. She watched these kids several days a week and seemed so sure they would never ride to the lake as they were "almost always within two blocks" of the house.

I agree. To me, LE's statement simply means that they cannot determine a definitive date, but are relatively sure the murders occurred not long after the abduction. :(

If he was there fishing, and the lake is that small, shouldn't he have seen something? Does that point back to Maiden Lane again?

Depends on if he was there when the abduction happened, I think.

To a lot of young kids "a long time" means "long enough to be bored." So a day at the carnival is never a long time but 5 minutes at church is a long time.

To a young kid fishing, a long time may mean "I was here for 10 minutes, haven't gotten a bite, so I've doing this a long time."

Plus, depending on where that boy was, he may not have been able to see that enclosed 400 foot length of trail.

I'm going to warn you...I did this the other day (started back at the first posts and interviews) and I found quite a few things that were changed/confirmed later on that just makes your head spin.

Nothing I found was alarming, but I didn't get too far before I was like "forget it" trying to determine which report/statement was correct or changed since LE won't confirm anything. I just wish LE would throw us SOME sort of a bone as to the last confirmed sighting but they've made it clear they aren't going to release that info as to it could interfere with the investigation.

So frustrating...but I commend you...have at it! Maybe you'll find something we've all missed by starting over! Maybe I'll try it again along with you...it can't hurt, right?:great:

In PA, there must be a suspect before the DA is assigned. I don't know if its different in other states, but LE gathers the evidence, decides if a crime has been committed, questions the subject and then takes it to the DA's office.

There was recently a shooting here in Waterloo where a guy in a vehicle was shot and killed. The County Attorney, Tom Ferguson, is pictured at the scene of the shooting, talking on a cell phone. But obviously a crime had been committed. I thought it was odd that he was at the scene.

With some family members being on the wrong side of the law, I'm sure it's inevitable that certain people think that LE is playing favorites.

Am I imagining things, or did I really read a post or posts on here months and months ago that the Lake was a quarry long, long ago? And dug out for fill when the big highway built, and the present Lake created?

It may have been in existence prior to 380 being built, but it has obviously changed.

My head IS spinning. I stayed up well into this morning watching YouTube videos and following links back to those early articles. I also ended up at a website doing statement analyses of those interviewed early on. Misty and Gma mostly. I had forgotten so much of this stuff. It is very frustrating. I think this is why I am keeping my timeline simple. One thing is for certain in all of this. Gma was the glue that held this family together. She was very heavily relied upon. It seems that she was equally close with all three of her daughters that are involved with this case. Tammy, Misty and Heather.
