I am still confused as to exactly where the girls' bodies were found in Seven Bridges Park. I know Otto has posted excellent maps in the past. However,on a regular map when I look for the rounded outlet w/ sandbar(where they were found) I do not find it within the borders of the park. I click from "map" to "satellite" to differentiate.

Zoom into the park. TIA. :blushing:

Gads... it's probably just me, but I am so surprised and sorry to see (2) innocent little local girls being pictured (& Identified) by the media at this point in time.

The borders are very irregular. The red marker is not placed where the girls were found, correct?

I'm not sure how to help. I can see where the girls were found on the map you linked and it's within Seven Bridges Park. Are you thinking that the white lines surrounding the red dot represent the borders of the park? The white lines represent roads within the park (the turn-around is not represented by a white line on the map you linked). The entire green area shown is Seven Bridges Park.

Also, if you're looking for a sandbar on the map, I don't think you'll find one. I believe that is seen in the msm photos of where the girls were found due to the drought.

I hope I did this right. I think this is the area they were found

You can see the loop in the road just to the left of the marker. Pics of the police on the scene show this road loop.

Yep, sure can! Interesting for sure. So do we know who owns that land? Or, let me phrase that better. So, I assume that is privately owned land.

  • #1,708
I'm not sure. Going with the assumption that if it was private land then there would be farm fields instead of trees, I think it is within the park boundaries

I was just speaking in general terms not on you're quote specifically, sorry.

I apologize - you quoted my post so I assumed your comments were in response to that post.

Peace.

I am sorry but I want news on who murdered these two innocent kids not updates on the Meyers Lake project.

Not being snarky. I wanted to agree with you that I'm sure ALL of us would want updates on who murdered theses girls. In the meantime thought, until we receive updates on the murderer, I'm just wondering what you could suggest we talk about. Some of us may have a certain suspect in mind, but we can't name them so that means we cannot talk about them. I for one like to read any updates about anything that is going on where these girls are concerned.

Talking about the memorial for the girls had me wondering why this project at the park is so important. Not saying it happened this way, but WHAT if the perp promised these girls a ride in a paddle boat to the island?

Correct Boots. The red marker is a general mark for Seven Bridges Park. Sorry if I am describing it wrong. :blushing: Arg, I wish I was better with maps.

Thank you, Considering. :seeya: I think I need to clarify. I am not the excellent mapper that Otto is, but on the map I linked, the red marker shows Seven Bridges Park. I do not know exactly where the girls' bodies were found, but I would like to.

I'm just saying that if you zoom in to the park on "map" mode, you can see where the river makes some zigzag turns. I thought the girls were found somewhere in that area, but it seems to lie outside park boundaries. ?

I must be missing something. Oh well. :blushing:

Did I miss something? Why was it funny that there was a bomb threat?
I don't think she thought the bomb threat was funny, but the ignorance of someone to think they could get away with something like that. I don't think it was a "haha",but more of a "you've got to be kidding."

I think you did an excellent job. I have to wonder if there is some kind of building/structure, old barn or something in the area outside of the park boundaries close to where the girls were found. ?

I agree too! We are desperate for any news regarding the girls and I readily admit the updates on the project at the park in memory of the girls has me re-thinking what role the island might have played in their disappearance.

The poster I was responding to came back and explained what he/she meant. I was just really taken aback with the LOL. The explanation offered makes sense. I was more surprised because typically with bomb threats it really sets the people in the building into a panic.

I find it very disturbing that someone would make a bomb threat.

I completely agree! And considering just how insidiously a criminal evolves over time, it is good timing to nip it in the bud. We can only hope this person gets help and does not reoffend. :please:

Me, too! When the girls first went missing, I thought they might have drowned in the lake trying to swim to the island. Once that possibility was ruled out, I didn't give much thought to the island until the memorial project got underway.

Now I'm wondering if there is a specific connection between the girls and the island.

Investigators are coming closer to capturing a prolific child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 distributor who has evaded authorities for more than a decade - and still can only be identified through this one, blacked-out photograph.
'John Doe' is being hunted by the Department of Homeland Security's Cyber Crimes Center using the latest technology which hones in on tiny clues.

That is what I am wondering too. Elizabeth had a birthday coming up soon. In interviews with Heather, it was clear Elizabeth and her mother had been making plans for the birthday party. Maybe Elizabeth had thought having her BD party on the island would have been the most awesome BD party EVER! Heather probably had discouraged the idea, but Elizabeth was determined to check the island out. The girls might have been Survivor fans and it would be really cool to have a BD on an island! I just think with all the focus on the island now, it had to play a part somehow, somewhere in how and when the girls went missing.
