That just about makes me sick. What if the girls were alive up until then? What if the perp did drop them off at a park? What if they died of exposure at 7 Bridges between 11/13 when that note was made and when they were found on December 5?

eta: My concern with that theory is why wouldn't the girls walk the 1/2 mile to the nearest house? Maybe they were told to wait there for their parents? Maybe they were told that someone would come get them? If they were dropped off at night they maybe couldn't see to walk out of there?

Or they were actually tied up and left there. Maybe the abductor thought that surely SOMEONE would come along within a day or two and hear them yelling and help? But that doesn't make sense either, because they probably wouldn't have been put so far back into the deep woods if the intent was for them to be found eventually...

random reminder: you can discuss the memorial but please do not bash it or the family.

I wonder if they were blind folded then told to walk 20 feet then they couldn't find the road. If it was dark when they were dropped off they could have fallen into the water, which would have increased the effects of hypothermia.

In response to your questions (which are very good questions the whole community should be asking:

1. Yes, I would think the state would already have this list.

2. I don't know why money would be needed to do this. I've seen WebSleuthers compiling lists of sex offenders on their own w/o payment and I've noticed a lot of the ones we have looked at have been found, probably because of tips from some of our sleuthers. I've seen 2 in prison and several with new pics and addresses and the 1 sex offender who had failed to register in Waterloo and is here in Texas locked up. Good work guys!

How much of the funding for the park project is being "paid" to Drew? Not criticizing, just curious.

So I'm not crazy. There IS a roadway to the island. Thanks.

I didn't know a road was involved too.

$100k isn't going to cover it...sounds more like a quarter mill project to me.

Unless of course the labour and materials are donated...even then, it's a big project.

I suspect the Memorial on the Island thing will fall over when the costs are propertly calculated.

bbm - Oh, yes, an actual road as opposed to an extension of the bike path is big bucks!

Well, at least in my mind, that answers a couple of questions I had wondered about which were:

#1 - E'Dale LE had indicated it was no problem for them to add the island to their patrol area - I had wondered "how is that not a problem if they have to leave their car on the shore and walk over to the island?"

#2 - How many locals would be willing to carry their coolers, picnic baskets, folding chairs, or whatever, from their cars left on the shore to the island?

bbm - that possibility is just too horrible to think about, isn't it? Which might be why I try to discount it by reminding myself that I'm of the opinion that the girls knew their killer and because of that, the killer wasn't going to leave them alive anywhere.

Just found this link...I have no idea how to do this, but I need some help.

In the VERY last frame of this "raw footage" video there is literally a split second snip (frame or 2) of footage in the auction house lot that is different.

http://video.foxnews.com/v/1754229105001/missing-cousins-reportedly-spotted-on-surveillance-video/

It's literally in the last second of the video and I don't know how to blow it up. This clip is different from some sort of footage...but maybe wasn't released.

It looks like auction stuff in the parking lot on a truck, or tables or something and there are people standing/walking around. Its definitely a different time/day/etc. but it's on the same clip as the girls racing by on bikes so it has to mean something! I can stop the frame, but I can't get it blown up to see if we can see any clues as to what/who is on the split second clip.

If anyone could please help by blowing up this frame to see if this was something that was eliminated in the original release I would be forever grateful!

:please:

ETA: I know the link shows it's not valid, but if you click on the link at Fox News at the top, the video is there...

I'm less than no help w/videos.

Perhaps we can send out some Carrier Pigeons to round up other posters ??

ETA: Help!!! My PC is next to useless and so are my Carrier Pigeons... they refuse to fly.

Perhaps others currently onbrd could send out some pigeons?? TY.

If it's the clip I think it is, it's been posted and scrutinized all ready.

Thanks, BunnyH, I've no doubt you're right abt that. At least, I know for sure that I ran across that video (though I didn't watch), because I remember that the caption named the wrong state.

bbm- was the part 3CKs just noticed scrutinized?

Quoting 3CKs' post: "If anyone could please help by blowing up this frame to see if this was something that was eliminated in the original release I would be forever grateful!"

Maybe it was...but this isn't an MSM link where it's just the clip. I may have missed this one. This is actual raw footage showing the video ON the computer being played...showing the actual timestamp, frames, etc. data at the bottom of the video, which I'd never seen.

It's just the very last second of the video's footage I'd never seen...literally a split second frame where you can see a bunch of "junk" or whatever in the auction yard. There appears to be people out there looking at stuff...I can see what appears to be 4 or 5 people...one who looks very small...like a child maybe??

I noticed right away the caption says "Indiana business" too...:floorlaugh: I think they meant Iowa. :)

However, that last second is what I'm most interested in...

To blow it up try pushing Shift Ctrl and the pluss on your key board hope it helps Pat:seeya:

Can someone pause it and grab a screen shot of that? I can't pause it on here.

I tried that...it's not working for some reason for me. Plus, I can't seem to get the video "play" arrow off the screen when trying to blow it up either.

Clearly not a computer whiz over here. :seeya: :floorlaugh:

I think that is a live shot from the camera when the video was turned off on the day KGAN was filming the video off the computer.

:floorlaugh: Indiana... yes indeedy... :floorlaugh:

And imo (and on a more serious note), that's a prime example of why we can't believe everything we read in MSM, which leaves us to "pick and choose" statements to believe. I for one, lean towards believing whatever fits my preconceived notions. Grrh...

pssssst! Guys! I think the girls's death involve real estate in some way. I know there are few of you don't think it was sex-motivated, so it had to be motivated by bringing a little notoriety to the area. I believe it has the potential to be quite beautiful in terms of a real estimate investimate. Just a random thought.
