I am just getting the feeling that LE has no idea what happened, and just keep pushing on the family in hopes that they did it and will confess. You are telling me after this long that they have been able to positively clear over 300 RSO within the 10 miles of this area, but they haven't been able to clear the dad in that time?

Nothing in this case makes sense. Bringing in scent dogs 4 days after the disappearance? Consistently saying there is no evidence of abduction, but it looks less and less likely that anything else would have happened? Not getting the computers until day 5?

That is an odd statement, true.

Maybe she meant that the thought of some perv grabbing them was too much to consider unless the lake turns up empty and then she might have to face it?

I really don't know. Just a guess.

The only way that I would be suspicious of the father is if he was the last one to see the girls. If her had been babysitting and then reported them missing, then I would have some interest in him. But they were seen out riding their bikes that afternoon. I really see no motive nor opportunity for him to be the perp given those circumstances.

But I hope he stops storming out of interviews, because he needs to be cleared completely so LE can move on from him.

The craigslist posting was reported to LE last night ... it was something to the effect of "Look in Fayette County under OR near a bridge." - whatever that would possibly mean to any folks local in Iowa.

Ahhh - Probably just someone with a "feeling" or "vision"....something like that. I doubt it is anything at all.

She means that while they (family) do not believe the girls went for a swim, she won't be comfortable going with the abduction theory fully until the lake search is completed and the girls are not found there. At least that is how I took her statement.

About the computers, I bet the family already looked closely at the girls recent activity, probably immediately did so. So I am not surprised that LE had not taken them yet. They have been busy looking for runaways, close to home and in the lake and surrounding woods.

I'm in Des Moines, and there have been several attempted abductions in the past 3 months.
It doesn't surprise me that no one heard or saw anything, we had 2 young sisters at a park, with many other people around, in the middle of the afternoon, both were sexually assaulted- and no one heard or saw a thing. This happened a couple of years ago and it caused a panic here, I don't think it has ever been solved.
