Goodness! With all these distractions of late, and being so excited about the new project at Meyers Lake . . . have they forgotten about the two children who have been murdered less than a year ago! Anyone trying to find the killer (s)? :furious:
Very good points, Otto!
Here's something I just thought of after reading your post...what about insurance? Won't there have to be some type of insurance for the buildings, gazebos, etc? What about insurance to protect against vandalism? For security, is the Evansdale Police Department going to volunteer man-hours to monitor the island and the lake? Is it going to be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
Well, I hope someone will appear at the next meeting (April 22 isn't it?) and bring up these issues.
I wonder how well LE questioned friends of the girls. Someone in their age group may have a good idea of who took the girls, or even have seen something that day, but is scared to come forward, even to their parents. I still think a PI would be a good idea.
Were the girls the ONLY unsupervised kids riding around that day in Evansdale?
Maybe they were!
Who was there looking to abduct kids?
Really, I understand a memorial of some sort.... But I DO NOT get this park thing. Next thing they will rename the town Cousinville.
ok Biting tongue.
WHO took these girls and killed them?????
Likewise I basically refuse to discuss this memorial (except in general broad
terms related specifically to the girls and nothing else), but to stick to the
case at hand ... which is young girls abducted and apparently murdered by
somebody ... right next to what is probably a drug highway!
Which road is a "drug highway"?
I380 would be one. Its the only Interstate going by ? Serving Waterloo and
points north etc.
I camels do follow the water ...
That highways does not go near 7 Bridge Park ... so in terms of a "drug route", it's doesn't seem specific enough to count in the abduction murder of two children near the interstate and left 20 miles North of that interstate.
But as usual, when there is no new information we tend to discuss anything that is currently in the news about the girls. Right now, it's the memorial. JMO. And I see it as more than a "city matter", because it seems like something is taking place that has a life of its own, without city oversight or any type of control. JMO. And that makes me wonder - why?:waitasec:

I agree wholeheartedly but it's not my town. I don't live there & can't fight their citizen complaints along with them. Well, maybe I could but I have a big ole city to worry about rather than this island that definetely has been raped of trees & more importantly wildlife. I have it here on a huge scale so I bow out of that discussion. It should be a local facebook discussion but not here for the girls.
Why? Well, if it had to do with Elizabeth and Lyric, I'd hope the sheriff or FBI would tell me not to touch the island. It is a family trying to memorialize their children who have died and the last known place they were at is Myers Lake due to their bikes stashed there. That's all this family has to their last known where abouts before they died. That whole area between Brovan & Meyers. I'd want to dominate it too. I'd want to know every person in each home, everyone's schedule, everyones relatives etc....jmo
I myself want to know if JJB's uncle and aunt were out of town when the girls went missing? They live the street past Lake off of Artibus (e. of lake). There's many other people I wonder about that have been arrested but that would be a start to finding a killer other than a tree slayer as he says. Not happy with the design but I don't live there. tg
