Dan's had a few drug charges dropped from what I see. Also I see that one the DV/Assault charges against Misty it reads sentence "null" but there's supposedly court on 4/29/13. Jason has court on 4/29/13 also but his doc reads Black Hawk Co. and Dan's reads Scott Co.

Anyone else here that could shed some light on their documents?

It's interesting. tia

I'm finding the court dockets for Dan & Jason extremely interesting. Please don't fizzle like in Haleigh Cumming's case is my hope & never charge someone but sentence someone for drug charges instead of murder 1. Pretrial Conference for Dan in BH (I assume now in regards to J-sin', Chelsea & Dan's drug bust) is set for 4/19/13. Got me.

4/29/13, two different trials in different counties though they read (Scott Co & BH Co). JS for his drug charges (but this case has been delayed & delayed forever & Dan for the dv & assault upon Misty also delayed forever). Odd though that the charges on the dv/assault reads under charges that the sentence is "null". So why have a court date? hmmm

Dan did have a few charges dropped too after pleading guilty.

I just hope a parent isn't involved with Elizabeth & Lyric being murdered. That's the worst of the worst to even attempt to understand for me. They were just kids having fun.

Here's part of Heather's post:

We feel that everyone in the community has given us such much support and has taken her as part of their child we want everyone to have that chance to do the last unbearable step in putting her body in the ground.

I think Waterloo Memorial is Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.

Yes, it is a cemetary at 4th and Ridgeway, I believe. And I don't think that the Collins' ever intended to have Elizabeth cremated.

I've seen null on other pending cases in iowacourtsonline. Is it possible the word "null" is listed for each charge until it goes to court and then "null" is replaced with the consequences or outcome of the charges once there is a hearing? Example, count 1, not wearing a seatbelt, null, count 2, speeding, null, then when there is a court hearing null is replaced with the penalty or outcome?

Ty, M.PA - you've managed to answer all my Qs. :blushing:

She is imo no doubt right about the caring support this community has shown since day one.

bbm - "Unbearable" indeed... I don't even want to think about it
because all my life the very sight of a child size coffin breaks my heart...

"WATERLOO, Iowa — The father of one of two Iowa cousins found dead following their disappearance last summer is facing new drug charges.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (http://bit.ly/14y10PI ) 36-year-old Daniel Morrissey of Waterloo is charged with trying to make methamphetamine and possessing simulated meth sometime between Dec. 1 and his Feb. 11 arrest for failing to comply with conditions of his pre-trial release"

I didn't realize Dan had been charged with posessing simulated meth. If someone was selling fake meth it would really anger the buyer, especially if it was a large amount.

What would have been in the autopsy results that only the killer would know, due to the state of their remains as found?

Who killed these precious girls and why?

Well, we really don't know for sure the state of the remains. :( Maybe the bodies were not out there as long as some assume (since July)...and if so, the cause of death MAY be evident (stab wounds, or strangulation marks).

Even if fully decomposed, if it was an execution style gunshot, the skull would still show the bullet hole.

So the autopsy results (if they showed the COD) would be something only the killer would know.

Heck, for all we know the bodies had been covered in some sort of acid/burning agent in an attempt to speed the process of decomp down.

That could also explain if no COD was explicitly visible...no? :waitasec:

Ty, Ayms... super good update on the progress of the island memorial and an unexpected surprise of tons of photos of the island.

I noticed that the date of the subj meeting between Park Board members and project volunteers took place on April 1st and that "Board members and volunteers will meet next at 6 p.m. April 22 at Meyers Lake."

Clever of the brd imo to have scheduled the meeting at the lake on Earth Day. (:

BBM - just to name a few possibilities that come to my mind:

Cause of Death (and was the cause of death the same for both?)

Bodies clothed or naked or somewhere in between (if clothed, description of clothes)

Any bindings found on body e.g. rope, tape, etc.

any teeth broken out

any bones broken

I believe all meth is simulated, there is no 'natural' meth. So charging someone with possessing "simulated meth" doesn't make sense to me.

Far away, but this guy is transient ...
http://articles.latimes.com/2013/mar/30/local/la-me-0331-kidnap-20130331

"Los Angeles police on Saturday identified a suspect in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a young Northridge girl last week as a 30-year-old transient with an extensive criminal history.

Tobias Dustin Summers, who was released from jail in January after serving six days for a probation violation, is the primary focus of the police investigation, LAPD Deputy Chief Kirk Albanese said at an afternoon news conference at police headquarters downtown"

"Profiles in the world of social media reveal other sides of the suspect.

His mother, Kathy, featured a picture on her Facebook page of “Tobias and Daniel. (Check out my boys).” Tobias is shown with a toddler, possibly a nephew, who looks about 5-years-old. Her page has since been removed. Her LinkedIn profile says she is a retired parole agent"

I interpreted the article to say he was trying to make meth and also had possession of meth. So, to me that meant the equipment and ingredients, plus had some finished product on his person or in his body?

Wow... very interesting all the way around... reads more like a segment from the TV show, Without a Trace, doesn't it?

I wonder what day in July, 2012 he got out of jail???

I am so relieved that this little 10 y.o. girl survived this horrible ordeal.

I think Dan was pulling a fast one on his customer, passing off baby powder, drywall or some other benign product as meth. That is how I take the "simulated" meth charge. Passing off a non drug as if it were a drug is still a crime, similar to dealing the actual drug.

Yes, that's what I meant. Thanks!
