I second that! On the other hand, sometimes I feel like maybe there were several people in desperate need of money and hatched a somewhat elaborate kidnapping hoax that went horribly wrong. The family receives a ransom note and the FBI announces that they believe the girls are still alive, but mention nothing about a ransom. The people involved in the kidnapping hoax are being watched so closely by LE that they can't get back to the girls at 7-Bridges to free them and they died there at 7-Bridges as hostages.

I've considered that, and feel it is possible. IMO it could explain a lot, especially LE's belief the girls were alive.

I think the ransom note could have been left in Lizzie's purse.

:tyou:

Except I don't think it went wrong, I think it went almost exactly to plan.

*sigh*

:tos:

We don't always agree on some details, but you and I have shared the same basic theory for a long time.

I LOVE that song!!! I post it on my personal FB page once a week, but listen every morning.

I posted it for Lyric. I want my son to play it for me when I pass~~~~~

Blessings for Lyric.

Ok...in the video with Drew they say "there is lots of work to be done...a small price to pay...after paying the ultimate price". This is in reference of making flyers for all missing sex offenders, finding them, and getting them back to being monitored.

Drew states "I don't want another family to go through what we're going through".

Why is he so focused on sex offenders (even if they are missing, they are STILL known offenders!) if all the offenders in the area were cleared? :banghead:

You and I have shared the same theory for a long time.

Yep this case has surely taken some twists and turns (and there's plenty more to come!) but my theory hasn't changed since July 13, and every word published since only enhances my belief.:twocents:

Our girls don't need a fancy shrine, they need JUSTICE.

:furious:

There is also an interview with Drew on the page. About sex offenders again.

And the reporter states that Drew says"he doesn't want to dwell on the tragedy".

And after watching that video it ALMOST makes me turn the corner into believing that that this family KNOWS this has some sort of sexual connection to it.

He is SO adamant about this, it makes me wonder why he feels sexual predators need to have any more focus than the "nice guy next door".

I think he can't bear to believe it might be anything else. If it's a sexual predator, that's evil and awful but at least it's a known quantity.

Brousseau, the older sister of Misty Morrissey and Elizabeth's mother, Heather Collins, recalled a conversation with Misty on Dec. 5, the day the news came the girls' bodies had been found.

"She had a very calm voice, but I know my sister, and just her tone I could tell it wasn't good," Brousseau said. "I said, 'Misty, just tell me.' And she said, 'Tammy, they're dead.'

"I was with my dad, and I just fell to the floor and cried and wailed and couldn't think straight and tried to get my daughters ready to get over there."

I know this is an old article, but I'm still shaken when I think of the family and how they must have felt when they received this terrible news.

I hope Lyric's loved ones can comfort and support each other right now as they honor Lyric's memory and privately deal with their loss.

I still think Wylma may well be the one suffering the most. JMO

OMG! That would explain so much. That would probably be something LE would not want released to the public and it would explain why Lizzie's purse was left there with the bikes. The family couldn't talk about it because they didn't find the purse or bikes. :banghead:

A few reasons occur to me...

There is no doubt that the grieving father of a murdered girl is a very powerful image which will tug the heart strings like nothing else.

Heart strings are often attached to purse strings and the goal is funding for Angels Park so it makes sense to me that the Collins' stay in the media for as long as possible.

Thank you for alerting me to the interview. I think you had mentioned it previously, but I just watched it. . . and it's just beyond bizarre. . . to me personally. I would use every chance I got to publically say I was still looking for the SOB that killed my child and my niece and that I would get you. . . like Diena Thompson, Somer Thompson's mother.

I agree.

otto, you asked me to answer a specific hypothetical question - under what circumstances might the girls get into a "non-familial" vehicle without becoming concerned. I believe I answered your question in my post.

Who knows how the purse came to be there? Maybe Lizzie left it in the vehicle and the killer brought it back and tossed it near the bikes as he/she walked, jogged, biked, hiked the trail before the search at the lake began? I'm not sure, did the 2:00 bike sighter also mention the purse? IIRC, LE only said this witness saw the bikes. So maybe that's what happened.

Or maybe she had it on her handlebars and didn't even know it had slipped off?

Or maybe Lyric grabbed it and tossed it to mess with her cousin, and before Lizzie went to reclaim it, they met up with the perp, Lizzie was excited at the unexpected adventure and forgot the purse.

Or . . . well, I imagine our creative posters can come up with even more possibilities.

I see nothing about Lizzie's purse being left behind that would rule out her leaving willingly with someone she trusted. JMO.

I respect your opinions because you are always very sure of what you believe. Because of that respect, let's agree to disagree about whether or not the girls went willingly. Neither of us will change the other's theory at this point, no matter how much we debate the issues.

TY Marilynilpa! I want to express my great appreciation for all here who share their thoughts, theories and opinions. I respect all. :seeya:

Look, women working by day and late at night,
They sing of bright days that were,
A long way back and forth forever.

Author's comment:
The Hebrides, or Western Isles, of Scotland were known as the Hebudæ or the Ebudæ in ancient times. The name is of Latin origin, appearing on ancient maps of Roman Britain.

Dan was the one who requested the service.

Not Wylma or Misty or Tammy...

He requested it 3 weeks ago, around 23 March...around the same time he pled guilty to all the new drug charges?

This will be Elizabeth's second elaborate public event, the first being the "Celebration of Life". It is possible that there could be a third elaborate public event if they choose to take the event after the funeral service to the graveside for the burial.

and then the dedication of Angels Park will make it Four ....

It is almost as if there lies some guilt in not protecting her from harm ... were there oddities leading to the abduction? Were there threats, signs not taken seriously? It is almost like over-compensating for something - is it because the community lays blame on the wrong person? Indeed, things are a bit overboard here and most strangely, no push to find the killer (s). Personally, I would not be concerned about anything but finding and holding those responsible for the death of my child. :furious:

RIP Lyric and Lizzie - we will try to find the answers on your behalf.

Is there any other reason that two female children are abducted and murdered?
