How can you say that HE raped a THIRTEEN year old. Fed her drugs and spent a little time in prison for it. He is scum of the earth NO matter the amount of money he does or doesn't have. It doesn't matter if this was 30 years ago or 2 days ago. HE IS SCUM. You can not advocate against Sex Offenders when you are sharing cake with him. The thought of him bringing and releasing doves at the memorial is sickening.

And from people that I talk to around here. THE ONLY reason people hang around him is to get what they can from him. $$$$$$$$$$$ Dirty money at that~ jmo

That is JMO, based on his usual requests when he donates. I heard a rumor that the humane society refused his donation. Not sure why, but my guess is, they were unwilling to rename it in the Anderson name. I don't think people around here take him seriously. He looks like Liberace's twin, for crying out loud.

Has anyone called him in to the tipline????

I have never asked him direct questions, because I do realize the risk to the investigation. Maybe your question was one he wouldn't answer, not couldn't.

IIRC I just asked where exactly the bodies were located. Which I thought he would just confirm. I was kind of taken aback by this response.

I have no idea if this man has changed, or if he has ever apologized for his mistakes. I appreciate your description of him, thanks. It helps to know how someone interacts with his community, IMO.

It sounds reasonable that a person of his wealth would make a sizable donation to the memorial fund. But I wonder how much input he has regarding the planning and building of the island memorial.

I think a lot of people wonder how they would handle things given the same situation. Thankfully I don't have to put myself in her shoes. I only know how I have dealt with the things in my own life.

As far as Heather not screaming justice at the top of the roof one can only wonder why?
Many years ago I was put in a situation where all eyes were on me. My first husband had a very bad accident, I had three children. This in no way even comes close to what Heather is going through, but I remember holding my head up and not wearing my heart on my sleeve because the whole family was waiting for me to have a break down. I had three small children under five, I could not afford to have a break down, they needed me to be strong. Heather has more children and she has to find some sense of balance for the sake of their well being. I think if it were me I'd want to be put in a straight jacket. I'd want to go after everyone that looked suspicious. But then how constructive or helpful would that be to the remaining children.

I also understand some not all of the religious aspect, (Grandpa and Dad ministers), when she puts in in God's hands I can sort of understand, it's a burden that is way to much to bear so it's easier to take some of the load off by doing this. I have used this theory but along with it have also used the "god helps those who help themselves", meaning yes put it in God's hands but find a way to help yourself get the answers you need. Don't know if what I am saying is making sense, just some random thoughts.

Thanks. My family suffered tragedies throughout my childhood. Nothing criminal, but early deaths.
My Elders felt no shame or weakness in showing their emotion openly. As children we saw it for what it was; grief and sadness. For me it was normal, a part if life. The shedding of tears can be cleansing. My family are devout Catholics and my Elders prayed for strength.

Once the sadness passed, we all got on with our lives. It was a great life lesson for me.

I think it was mentioned upthread, that maybe Heather is not aware of his past. That could very well be true. Or, if she is capable of forgiving the killer, it's not too far fetched that she would forgive/forget something that happened so long ago.

Well, if there is a shrine to his dead mother, that might indiate how much he gave!

Very strange to make your "enemy" (known sex offender, if that's the type of person you think did this) your friend. Not sure, but I feel there is some method to Heather's madness in some things. I myself would not be associated with this type of person no matter how much money he had. Maybe she thinks because he knows so many people it will lead to some clue as to who did this. Trying to analyze her actions as to the why she does what she does, or why she doesn't feel what we think she feel is just as mind boggling as trying to figure out who did this.

Maybe she has forgiven him. TOS prevents me from saying more. :blushing: :moo:

LE has never stated the girls were ever "last seen alive" there, I believe they said the girls were last seen near Meyers Lake between 12:30-1:00.
