This funeral service was not possible before Saturday as the state medical examiner was conducting on autopsy on both Elizabeth and her cousin, Lyric Cook, whose bodies were found in December.

ETA: Now certain things make sense. Dan had a trial scheduled for April 29th. Since he didn't know this trial would be delayed, maybe he felt he would be unable to attend a service for Lyric after her body was released. So he requested a service for Lyric last month, which the family held privately. JMO.

I keep asking myself what can I do? So I decided something tonight.
I know several high level people in scouting (both girls and boys). Im
going to be at a picnic with all of them tomorrow, and others including
several corporate executives of note. Somewhere in the course of the
evening I'm going to ask for people's attention and remind them of the
girls, and I'm going to ask these scouting people and anyone else who can,
to institute some kind of program in their companies or organisations, to help
teach children and parents to be 'aware and protective'. I don't know what
reaction I will get. I hope it's positive. But I am going to bring this matter
up for the sake of the children ... and our girls. I think people need
reminding ...

There was a situation where an older Asian man touched a young girl's face. I don't believe there was ever an abduction attempt by this man. But I may be thinking about a different incident than the one you're referring to.

The children ran away from the driver and saw him turn west onto O Street. The driver is described as an Asian in his fifties or sixties, short with a medium-size build and a thin face. He had a male passenger with him. He is apparently targeting children who are playing outside without adult supervision according to police. (Note: same description of the suspect that was given on March 14th, 2012 in a reported incident in Forest City, Iowa)".

I remember the one about the guy asking directions to the church. Too bad they didn't get the license plate. It would be helpful if people noticing any suspicious activities or vehicles would snap a picture with their cell phone. But I guess it happens pretty fast, you cant always do that.

I hate that the weather is so yuck for Elizabeth's funeral. Makes me think the Angels in Heaven are crying for Elizabeth today too. :raincloud:
