OMG! Did authorities even check RSOs in the Evansdale/Waterloo area? And, if so why didn't they check out K. Authorities don't know about social media? They don't check to see if their RSOs have Facebook accounts? Seriously! How did authorities miss this? They are the trained individuals. If K isn't responsible for our Evansdale angels taken too soon LE should have interviewed him and his friend to protect the public. For that matter, Did/does the entire area need to be concerned for safety? If an associate of one of the family members is a POI/Suspect he is still capable of perpetrating this type of crime again.

Interesting that K's Facebook account hasn't been shut down. Or, has it? I haven't checked it recently.

Wondering if K's neighbors check Family Watchdog, and knew they had a monster amongst them?

Also, K spent 20 yrs incarcerated!!! 20 of his impressionable years. Was he in general population? We all know what would have happened, if he were in gp. So, that leaves K's role models just like himself, but more seasoned. Growing up incarcerated around predators! Oh, and released out into the public two years ago.

Great point Sin City! I am not sure what the chances are that MK is involved but I hope they have some sort of DNA evidence, or maybe even ballistics to bump up against and either rule MK in our out.

I'm with you though...attempting to make the evidence fit is something we've heard of many times. Who does that help if the real killer still "walks among us". Sure, it closes the case...but people like MK are going to strike again...it's just a matter of time.

During the press conference yesterday for Kathlynn, the investigator was asked that question. They said they were going to concentrate 1st on finding her and then investigate any possible connection. It did sound like they were going to look into a connection extensively.

Thank goodness they were not taken. It's outrageous one child isn't enough anymore now they want two its sickening. I hope all parents are on high alert everywhere because people start letting their guard down in the nice weather and kids want to go out and play unsupervised.

I talked to my 12 year old daughter today about the Dayton Iowa abduction. Told her how they were lured by a promise of a lawn mowing job. She said that she would never get into a vehicle with a stranger. I told her that they use more clever things than candy and puppies nowadays .....

My own personal hell (NOTHING compared to the hell endured by TRUE crime victims whose cases we are so DRAWN to) has caused me to have to leave here early yesterday and only login now for the first time today.

There were so many alerts in my email that I only took the time to read latest one... it mentioned the 12 y.o. having said her hands were tied w/those ?plastic ties... (know what they are but can't think what they're called) and the perp leaving, near her, that type of gun used to put-down-animals and the hog confinement area and that the 15 y.o. girl's blood was found on the ?tailgail of perp's truck... I think I'm going to be sick...

Please somebody take the time to answer this question:

Ouch... I, who have never wallowed in (no pun intended) personal stories here (and certainly have never shared info abt periods), am bitterly disappointed not to have received a simple reply to, imo, a very simple question !!

On some level, I really do appreciate coming back here today and seeing that many of my beloved fellow peeps have taken the time to give me one of those, imho, lame-asped-ws-thumbs-up.
