unable to sleep in the early morning hours today, I flipped on the TV and watched a CSI Miami show. Coincidentally, the theme of the show was a group of men that released Cubans into the wild and hunted them down for sport with bows and arrows. What an eerie feeling as yesterday I posted about the possibility of the "hunt" being more of a thrill in abduction cases than the actual killing.

B4igo2it, I've been researching SKs/Predators for over 5 years.. The first hunting humans movies were fiction; The Most Dangerous Game (1932) A Game of Death (1945) Run for the Sun (1956) Bloodlust! (1961) The Woman Hunt (1973) Turkey Shoot (1982)....

"Then art became a reality"... There are too many to list, but here are a few of the Emulators/Hybrid serial killers that hunted their victims;

When NC Trucker serial killer Adam Lane was arrested. In the cab of his truck parked at a rest area on a nearby Interstate. Police found a copy of the DVD "Hunting Humans," a movie about a serial killer who picks his victims at random.

Serial Killer Gary M. Hilton(GA) wrote the script for a movie; 'Deadly Run; hunting humans, released in 1994; eight years before his capture. It was based on AK serial killer Robert Hansen, who flew his victims into the Forest and hunted them as game with a high powered rifle.

The film called "Deadly Run" is about a serial killer who hunts women he sets free in the woods. The producer of the film, Samuel Rael; Hilton' defense attorney, says Hilton came up with the plot. For the 1995 screenplay, he says Hilton suggested, "go ahead and let some beautiful women out in the woods and then they could be hunted down like prey."

Ironically, AK hybrid serial killer Israel Keyes, who also hunted humans across the US, and studied other SKs prior, committed suicide on 12/01/2012; the date, 'The Frozen Ground Movie based on AK SK Robert Hansen; Hunting Humans was set for release.

Michael J. Klunder pulled up after school and asked two Dayton girls what seemed a harmless question: Do you want to make some money mowing lawns?

He promised to take Kathlynn Shepard and D <sbm> in his pickup to ask their parents if it would be all right.

The Des Moines Register Reader’s Watchdog question this week is a critical one we should all be asking:

Do you know for sure what the children in your life would do if someone made the same offer to them?

Thanks for posting the pictures.

The craftsmanship on the gazebo in the first picture looks great.

It may be just the camera angle, but the island looks massive in the second picture.

So much depends on the COD.

I do not understand why this hasn't been released.

LE has said they won't release COD to protect the investigation, but I don't think that's the reason. I think COD hasn't been determined, maybe due to the condition of the remains. JMO

I keep thinking about that pig gun and what it would do to a skull. If the ME found a fractured skull on both girls (sorry girls RIP) after eliminating gun types if need be, weapons, maybe they couldn't be conclusive in their ruling of the COD or it was drugs of some kind. Now with a weapon, maybe they can recreate what damage was done to the girls. Just one speculation. We know how Kathlynn was murdered, sounds the same as his victims that were alive to tell. Beating, pistol whipping, choking etc...only she had sharp trauma too. RIP Kathlynn. RIP.

Ballistics if there is a gun & conferring with ME, FBI, EPD, BHC Sheriff on all evidence I think there should be an answer soon. But then there's that lag in forensic testing everywhere. Hopefully, it's top priority.

May the strength be with all the family & law enforcement on all levels & the ME. If there is a connection, then hurry it up for the family & friends. The rest of the world wouldn't mind an answer either.

There are hundreds of studies about the effects of these co2 kill guns. Skull fracturing patterns on the animals involved was consistent in all studies Ive read on the internet. It would be a dead give-a-way.

But of course we will never know. This case might as well have happened in some gulag in
the Soviet Union!

Klunder didn't go easy on his victims. Sounds like he really beat them up, the ones he could take it out on the most. A cowardly type rage. He knew he could overpower his victims with his size. creep.

We discussed how could one person take two girls...Size of a person was discussed at one time. 6'6" could.

From your link:

Yet, Iowans also witnessed the high-profile disappearance of two other girls last July. Evansdale cousins Elizabeth Collins, 8, and Lyric Cook-Morrissey, 10, were found dead last December. Their killer has not been caught, and authorities have been reviewing that case to see if Klunder could have been involved.

Though the cases are unusual, they are not what I would call rare. At least 16 alleged attempts were reported in The Des Moines Register’s pages just last year. They included:

Google says it will spend $5 million on an effort to wipe pictures of child sexual abuse from the Web and another $2 million to research more effective ways to find, report and eradicate the images.

Thank you, everyone, for the welcome back!

The ploy Klunder used to abduct the girls would have worked for the proverbial 98 pound weakling though. Pull up to a place with potential victims and ask them if they want to earn some money doing chores that are within the abilities of the age of victim selected, invite them to get into the vehicle to go ask their parents' permission.

If the targets decline, shrug and drive on. At that point, the perp has nothing to lose since he has done nothing illegal.

Once the victims got into the vehicle without protest, pull out a weapon once the vehicle was rolling again (if the perp thought escape would be a risk). I didn't follow the Kathlynn Shepard case closely enough to know whether this was part of it but it wouldn't take a genius to figure it out.

No Rodents (perps) of Unusual Size required.

True, they come in all shapes and sizes. His size would work to his advantage though in controlling two.

Glad you are back! :seeya:

I suppose that means no usable DNA was found on Lizzie and/or Lyric. LE has Klunder's DNA and it seems it could rather easily be compared to any DNA collected in our girls' case. JMO.

I still don't think Klunder is our guy, but I sure would like to know for sure.

Not necessarily so. :waitasec:

I think at this point it's only none of Klunder's DNA was found on L&L.

There still could be useable DNA found which LE are keeping under the Cone of Silence.

They don't know whose it is yet, alternatively, (my pick) it is DNA that is consistent with the family/friends therefore explainable and proof of nothing at all.

My thought was that since LE has Klunder's DNA, he would be easy to rule out if DNA was found on the girls. Yet he apparently is still being looked at - LE is seeking phone records and other info to see if he was in the area on July 13. So I think there may have been no DNA to compare Klunder's DNA to. Just speculation on my part.
