Imo, Investigators are being very silent concerning MJ Klunder. The description of any vehicles MJK had access too and all known info/evidence should be released to the public via ms media, imo.

Sexual Predator and probable Serial Killer MJ Klunder, has already escaped Justice due to the squandering of their most valuable resource by the antiquated silence strategy utilized in L & L's abduction investigation, imo...

ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
A serial killer's recent suicide has prompted federal prosecutors to seek dismissal of charges in the slaying of an Alaska barista.

Prosecutors in Anchorage said in a motion filed this week that the indictment against Israel Keyes "is abated by his death" by law.

A federal magistrate recommends granting the motion and has forwarded it to the judge assigned to the case against Keyes, who confessed to the February murder of 18-year-old barista Samantha Koenig in Anchorage, as well as others across the country.

Keyes confessed to the 2011 murders of Bill and Lorraine Currier of Essex, Vt., and as many as five unnamed victims, four in Washington state and one on the East Coast, the body dumped in New York. Investigators believe there could be more victims as well.

I have intervened several times when I saw adults with small children who were acting up and the adult seemed to be losing it. No abductions prevented, just an overwhelmed adult with an overstimulated child.

Better to intervene or 'stand a look' until the adult(s) are aware they are being observed, than to do nothing. You can always apologise or feel guilty later . . . :seeya:

I'm just catching up, however, IMO MK killed himself to control his own fate. Part of his warped mental thoughts regarding power.

That's certainly possible, although his son still found out the truth.

I think he killed himself because he didn't want to go back to prison, and he didn't want to face his wife and in-laws once his true nature was revealed. JMO.

Fox, you're following both cases so much closer than I am. Have they said when they will know if Klunder also killed L&L ?

SCHMAE, Imo, investigators should have known within hours after locating Klunder, whether he was responsible for L & L's abduction & murder. Imo, due to MJK's psychological traits, violent history of sexual assaults of females/children, geographical proximity, and very rare abduction of a pair of child female victims. It should be obvious that MJK is responsible for L & L's abduction/murder, imo. The larger question, imo, is how many other unknown victims is he responsible for, and why would investigators not utilize all investigative resources to seek the truth?

Published 1:19 PM CDT Jun 07, 2013

Investigators looking into the Collins, Cook-Morrissey case have said they are looking at Klunder as a possible suspect in their case.

Chief Deputy Rick Abben of the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Department released the statement:

"While Mr. Klunder's actions in Dayton are of interest to this case, our focus remains on all aspects of the investigation and he is not the sole focus of our attention. Other leads continue to be uncovered and investigators continue to follow-up on any and all information that comes in.

"We will continue to keep the public up to date as information becomes available."

The FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List was established by J Edgar Hoover, over 63 years ago. Yet, many Law Enforcement Investigators cling to the antiquated close to the vest silence strategy. How many more innocent victims must loose their lives or investigations grow cold before their most valuable resource is utilized?

FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives
http://www.cbsnews.com/2300-504083_162-10013940.html

According to the FBI's website, the list is a publicity program designed to publicize particularly dangerous fugitives who might not otherwise merit nationwide attention, according to the FBI's website.

The program was founded on March 14, 1950, when a reporter asked late FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover for the names and descriptions of the "toughest guys" the Bureau would like to capture. The resulting article generated so much publicity and had so much appeal that Hoover implemented the top ten program.

Since its inception, 497 fugitives have been on the top ten list. Among those listed, the FBI says that 466 have been apprehended or located, including 154 fugitives who were captured or located as a result of citizen cooperation.

The current top ten list is maintained on the FBI website and relies on the assistance of citizens and the media..

Once heard that if LE do not release any info. it is because "they have something" and if they do give the public info. it is because they have " nothing".
Unsure if that is true or not, but am hoping that is happening in this case.

May be true, dotr. With the info gained by investigators from MJK's timeline, his spouse, other relatives, friends, possible dna & other forensics, It would be reasonable to conclude that a portrait of his dark past is beginning to emerge, imo.

The temporary paper license plate on MJK's red toyota pick up truck leads me to believe that he was up to something; either purchased a new truck recently, lost his old license plate, etc.

In the (LA)Mickey Shunick case, RSO/sexual predator/serial killer Brandon Lavergne, reported his truck stolen, torched it in TX, then bought another identical truck with the insurance money, in a calculated effort to fool LE, friends, & neighbors. An aware citizen/car salesperson alerted LPD to the transaction/ruse.

Police released a photo of Klunder's truck, which had a temporary paper license plate on the back window, a Tommy Lift tailgate and a silver toolbox located on the driver's side. Investigators asked anyone who may have seen the truck Monday to come forward.

O/T

A father who discovered his 15-year-old daughter was being wooed on Facebook by a man twice her age took matters into his own hands.

He hatched a Facebook ruse that drew the 30-year-old Federal Way man to Spokane earlier this month. Then the father and a couple of his buddies staked out the arranged meeting spot and blocked the man's escape until police arrived.

When reading your comment, I was thinking ahead that it would say.....the father and a couple of his buddies beat the hell out of him, and told him they would be watching, and next time, it wouldn't be so nice.
My own brand of judgement may not be legal, but I truly believe it would work better than what we have.

I was expecting that, too. There was no mention of the guy being roughed up, but I'd love to know what took place while dad and his friends were holding him for the police!

I disliked the title of the article - it said he was "wooing" her. An adult male doesn't "woo" a young girl, he preys on her.

Officials still investigating possible Dayton-Evansdale link - Jun. 7, 2013

Capt. Rick Abben of the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Department, who is serving public information officer for the Evansdale case, said Thursday no obvious connections had been found thus far.

Meyers said the forensic portion of the investigation into Klunder’s possible connection to the Evansdale murders will take time. He did note that instances of having two people kidnapped at once are rare.

Investigators say they are looking into whether Klunder could be linked to the slaying of two cousins, ages 8 and 10, who vanished last summer while riding bikes in Evansdale. In the 1980s, records show he lived at a residential treatment center for emotionally troubled children in Bremer County, where the cousins’ bodies were found in December.

Police Investigate Dayton-Evansdale Abductions Connection - 06/19/2013

DAYTON, Iowa —The family of a 12-year-old who escaped from Michael Klunder believes the man is capable of kidnapping and killing two cousins in Evansdale.

Authorities said two sets of girls about the same age vanished just months apart in two northern Iowa towns about 100 miles away from each other.

Investigators said three girls, Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins from Evansdale and Kathlynn Shepard from Dayton, died. The fourth girl, D, managed to escape the Dayton kidnapping.

"We would still be looking for them, I believe. And we wouldn't know who, what, when, why or how," said Hughes' mother, Jeanette Andrews. “And (Klunder would have) moved on to the next set. I don't think he was ever going to stop."

Imo, the zip ties, although a very important link, may not be present at the 7 Bridges disposal site/ritual grounds/crime scene. When D <modsnip> courageously escaped MJK's wrath. He was in the midst of his crime and caught off guard, as opposed to Elizabeth & Lyric's case, he had completed his evil deeds. Time was on his side..

Many experienced sexual predators/serial killers are aware of crime scene investigations/ forensics, and will attempt to clean the crime scene by removing indictable items of evidence, bleaching the bodies, etc..

Cell phone forensics, in many cases are useless due to the use of burner phones, going dark by removing the battery of a cell phone, or staging the cell phone at the perp's pre-planned alibi location..

Hopefully the many days spent at the 7 bridges by investigators will provide indictable evidence to link MJK to L & L's abduction/murder....

RE: Moulder points to one specific piece of evidence in the Dayton case -- the zip ties that Klunder used on the girls.

http://www.kcrg.com/news/local/Poli...vansdale-Abductions-Connection-212170001.html

Police Investigate Dayton-Evansdale Abductions Connection

His history and the similarities between Dayton and Evansdale are why law enforcement is investigating where he was when the Evansdale cousins disappeared.

"Of course, they will be looking for anything they can get out of cellphone records, any witnesses can say they were there or identify the vehicle," said police consultant William Moulder.

Moulder, who is not connected to the cases, said investigators are also tracking Klunder’s work schedule, purchases to his credit cards, DNA evidence, and the way in which the girls were killed to determine if Klunder is also behind the deaths of the Evansdale cousins.

Moulder said finding a connection will take luck, time and solid police work.

"It's running down all the possible connections, and then making sure there are no other alternative explanations for those connections," said Moulder.

Moulder points to one specific piece of evidence in the Dayton case -- the zip ties that Klunder used on the girls. He said investigators will definitely be looking to see if those were also used in Evansdale.

Hughes, who escaped in Dayton, has not said if Klunder mentioned anything about Evansdale.

The Evansdale police chief said a few weeks ago that they would know soon if there is a connection. However, they have started to back off on that timeline.
