I might say that drugs had something to do with the girls abduction, if there were not tons of abduction cases where the child came from a good family background. Once again, in my opinion, I feel there is just to much focus on the drugs, right from the start.
If LE did not have drugs in the equation, where would they have begun to look at that time, it makes me wonder. They probably still would have drained the lake, I think that's procedure. They claimed the girls were alive, was that because they thought the abductor would return the girls for drugs or drug money? Would they have labeled it an abduction sooner if they hadn't focused on the drugs.
I think LE and most people focus on what one would feel is the obvious. Parents on drugs = abduction of kids. I somehow feel they should be looking at things that are not obvious. For one, the Collins neighborhood and the area's around Myers Lake, two, maybe the church, three, maybe school. You really never know where someone with a shady background will turn up after getting through the cracks. Not related to the girls case, but this is just one example. Wish the schools had a better way of screening employees.
