Previously released info about white SUV:

Evansdale Police Chief Kent Smock says investigators are constantly searching for clues. They found something this week.

“We realized that we have three different people — two early-on and one just a couple months ago — that came forward with information that identified a white SUV-type vehicle,” Smock said. Each witness reported seeing an older, box-style SUV at three different locations near Meyer’s Lake on the day the girls went missing.

Elizabeth Collins’ father, Drew, is hoping the new information will lead to an arrest. “We were hoping for more information, you know, something more than this vehicle description. But we are just always waiting for the day to find out what really happened,” Collins said.
Heather Collins, Elizabeth’s mother, is urging anyone with any information to step forward. “We are already going on a year. We had really hoped to have found the person (who did) this,” Collins said. Police believe the vehicle in question may have looked like a Chevy Suburban, a Ford Bronco or something similar.

Sorry I have so much going through my head right now.

I'm assuming now they were sexually assaulted since they are only asking for MALES who have been to seven bridges. Or male DNA was found.

Not necessarily. It could be touch DNA. Or even fingerprints from the bikes.

I still think our *favorite* RSO fits the bill perfectly. From the area, history, opportunity, lived by Meyers lake for a time. Etc. Etc.

CMF? I haven't been following this thread as actively as I used to, but I have his name and mugshot imprinted in my brain. I've never been able to shake it. Too many coincidences.

Does anyone know if LE is updating Misty and Dan on the investigation? Or do you lose your right to be kept abreast of new developments if you are in prison?

Also, what ever became of Lyric's brother?

If it was a sex-related crime I find it hard to believe the perp HASN'T re-offended yet or at least tried to. That's pretty scary because I got the impression people were kind of relaxing and getting "back to normal" in the area, just based on posts here from locals to that area.

I'm not super local, but local enough. My stepdaughter just turned 13. I don't think more than a month has gone by since the girls disappeared that I haven't reminded her of it. I'm desperate for her to understand how scary the world is and how quickly she could be snatched up. She's a super smart girl with a great head on her shoulders, thank goodness! I realized one night last week that I had forgotten to get the mail that day. She was waiting at the door for someone to pick her up so I asked her if she would run out and get it while she waited. She went outside. She didn't come right back in. My mind raced. There was no good reason not to come right back in. It was cold out! I hurried to the door, slightly panicked because I'm always on alert. She was standing on the porch with her hand on the door. There was a car parked on the side of the road, opposite of the mailbox. There was a guy in it, staring at her. He took off when he saw me. She said she wasn't going to take one step off of that porch while he was still in sight. Smart girl! I praised her up and down. I told her it was safe to go get the mail and she took off down the driveway while I watched. All of the sudden, the car came back around the block! She ran back up to the house. I stepped out on the porch and stared like I've never stared before. He pulled up in front of a house a couple of door down and got out. He had one of those pizza box warmer bags. UNMARKED PIZZA MAN! I laughed so hard. Then I praised her some more. I'm so glad she is cautious.

The man who claimed to see the girls last is still the person I would concentrate on.

I just can't remember. Wasn't it the boy who was fishing who was the last to see the girls? Is that who you mean?

Yeah, and an apparently unbreakable alibi for the time the girls are thought to have been kidnapped. But since he's an RSO, there shouldn't have been any issues about DNA or fingerprints, so I'm starting to doubt it. We'll see, I guess.

The little boy fishing hadn't seen them, right? He'd been fishing a while.

The last sighting is from Mr Carpenter, before that was the camera by Elizabeth's house.

Until this presser I didn't think it was a sex crime. But if they are only looking for males.....

Also would explain Drew's dedication to sex crimes now.

That's what I was thinking also, plus saying they are looking for anyone who may have been to the park when they were younger would make it seem like they are looking for middle age, someone who was old enough to go there before the flood washed the bridge out and made the park look less appealing to have family picnic's.

I know this isn't directly applicable to the girls case - but still refers to Seven Bridges (this article was mentioned in the past).

We know they are now focusing on someone who likely hunted, fished, or partied at Seven Bridges.

In this particular case - someone ELSE mentioned to him that is where he should dump the evidence, which could just as easily be the case with the girls. Overhearing someone mention the park or being told that would be a good place to get rid of their bodies.

SBM
He also said he needed to get rid of a gun.

"I suggested they take it to Seven Bridges (Park) where we went camping in the summertime," Gardner said.

Or reading a news article where it was mentioned. ;) I know it's likely the perp is local and was familiar with 7 bridges, but anyone can google.

That's an odd thing for someone to say. Wonder why they mentioned that particular park?
Makes you wonder if there are other things hidden/buried at 7 Bridges?

He must have a big yard, watering for 3 hours and all...

If I remember right, he wasn't that sure of the time. His wife had to correct him on it.

Hello friends, I cannot tell you how excited I am about that news conference yesterday. I was beginning to think this case was so cold it was forgotten.

Guessing that LE might have told him not to reveal time info to the media in order to protect the investigation, his wife possibly covered the slip . jmo.moo.
Maybe similar situation with the timing in the cctv video, showing the girls riding their bikes? moo.
