bench warrant issued for JS was for contempt of court in a child support/custody case. There was a contempt of court hearing scheduled for 7/23/12 @ 2:00 and he was a "no-show". My best guess is that he was in contempt for non-payment of child support of some kind. Appears as though he has been in contempt previously.

He is on the Iowa Courts website 102 times. ONE HUNDRED AND TWO TIMES!!!! :maddening:

Heather has very serious heart disease. If the appt had something to do with that maybe it was an appt she had to keep?

I completely agree - her heart issue is very serious. I think I misunderstood that at the time she came to the house (originally) there apparently wasn't a serious concern the girls were truly missing...just hadn't returned from their bike ride. I now understand why she would have just gone ahead to her appt (assumed the girls were just messing around and hadn't come home yet).:blushing:

Missing Iowa Girls' Case Hampered By Key Witnesses Not Coming Forward FBI Says

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/ar...-by-key-witnesses-not-coming-forward-FBI-says

snipped -

Earlier this week, officials asked that someone who was seen paddle-boating on Meyers Lake that Friday contact authorities, but the person still has not done so, Breault said this morning.

“They’ve had several people who think someone was (paddle-boating on the lake), but they’re still looking for someone who was said to be out there,” she said.

snipped -

On Wednesday, a warrant was issued for another man arrested with Morrissey on drug charges in December 2011. Jason Stolfus, 37, of Waterloo, is wanted for contempt of court, according to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Department website.

Breault would not comment on whether Stolfus has been looked into in relation to the girls’ disappearance.

So confused! I thought they said that the paddle boater came forward already? This article has someone from the FBI saying the paddle boater has NOT come forward as yet. So which is it?

Trying to piece together a timeline for the adults based on media interviews and I come up with this...

8:30am - Misty says she left for work and Lyric was still in her pyjamas at Grandma’s house.

11:30am - Grandma says the girl’s went out bike riding

12:15pm - Video of girl’s riding west on Brovan Blvd towards River Forest Rd

12:30pm - Grandma says that Heather came in, the “dad” was there (Drew?) so she took her 12yr old grandson and went out looking for the girls until 1:30pm. They went everywhere, Elk Run, all over Evansdale and even down to Meyer’s Lake. So the Grandma and the 12yr old grandson were at the lake sometime between 12:30pm and 1:30pm

1:30pm - 2:00pm Misty showed up at Heather’s house, Grandma went home to meet Tammy.

2:00pm - Heather came home from “appointment”. Sometime between 2pm and 2:45pm she went out to look and then decided to go to the police station to file missing persons report.

2:00pm - 2:45pm - Sometime during this time frame, Drew called Grandma to come back because the girls were still missing.

2:45pm - Grandma, Tammy and 12yr old grandson were at Meyer’s Lake.

3:58pm - Volunteer firefighter found bikes.

I guess because Heather and Drew have not done any media interviews about their movements that day, I was surprised that Grandma says "dad" was home at 12:30pm and Heather seems to have been going in and out. Was Drew home all day or did he come home at some point that morning to take Heather to the appointment? Did they take the two younger children with them as well? Or was he home watching the children while Grandma was looking and Heather was at her appointment? :waitasec:

MOO

And where was Misty? Did she stay there? No mention if she was with TB at the park...iirc. In a very early interview, she stated she had to run an errand or go somewhere, but she was very vague and didn't say where, what or with who. Maybe it was with TB also, because Gma had told her to go straight to HC's because the girls were missing. JVM in an interview with DM and MCM was wanting to know everyone's whereabouts that day, but when DM told her about Lyric being missing a few days prior....the direction went that way and the info of the others was never discussed.

IIRC, the spokesman said 'people have come forward'. At least, that's what I heard. Maybe some of those 'people' also report having seen the paddleboater. MOO

Did i miss something?
http://www.ajc.com/news/nation-world/station-to-submit-video-1485076.html

Why are they wanting the full footage? Is this the one where TB told Misty to stop laughing before they aired it?

Does anyone have the link to this video they are talking about?

There was another article linked upthread about how the police has subpoenaed the station's RAW footage, and the station is in the process of getting the full interview to them -- however -- the article upthread also notes the station doesn't have more footage to give them as they don't keep the unedited versions as per their policy. I wonder why they have such a policy? And why it wouldn't be breached given the fact that two kids are missing and the parents have themselves declared the police suspect them of involvement????

IIRC Heather has a pacemaker...my husband does as well. they have to be checked every few months and rescheduling with a cardiologist can be a pain, so that very well could be.

Thanks for the info on the 'duckface'. That photo certainly caught my attention when I saw it earlier. I totally agree she appears to be older than 10, but of course, she's still a baby. Growing up too fast is no fun (I know from experience). Check out the photo of Lyric in this article:

http://www.ajc.com/news/nation-world/station-to-submit-video-1485076.html

The Duck Face...Fish Face...Zoolander face. from the Ben Stiller movie...the bane of every teen/twenty something photo ever! but a very funny movie!

zoolander-baby look.wmv - YouTube

If the next part of the dental board for TB wasnt so jarring ( putting medical supplies and drugs in her pocket. I would still be laughing about the - flat tire and her underwear incident.
I am grateful to have been able to read that though. Somethings you can't un-see!

WHOA!!!!!

Watch her face when she says, "anybody could have dumped the bikes and the purple purse they were carrying."

Classic sign of lying -- looking up and to the left as you say something (as in trying to remember the right thing to say as you lie.) She almost looks like she's smirking!

Grandma even said in a video that she "didn't care if the girls were hurt" ( nice choice of words) Sorry i can't remember the link but i did post it before just not sure what day.

I am sure it is their policy for exactly this reason, so they do not have to produce it. This is the same policy in most law firms and many other professions, like consultants. Drafts are destroyed the moment a document is finalized to prevent it being subpeona'd. It is a very common policy.

Totally agree. :banghead: There have been several cases where a perp was spotted in the background of video or photos at funerals, prayer services, etc. Who knows what LE might possibly spot, related to family, a neighbor or a stranger.

why would le have to subpeona? why wouldn;t the station just give them to le?

My gut says they are following procedure so that the tapes aren't thrown out by a judge at trial.

Or IMO on camera:waitasec: Someone knows something.

This is my first post, but I've been visiting since the Lisa Irwin case.

I've been thinking about the whole paddle boater as abductor scenario. We've got statements that indicate that the girls possibly went to the edge of the water (since it's not really been confirmed as fact). If they were taken by a paddle boater, or led to a nearby home after crossing the water, shouldn't there be a scent trail at the exit point at some other spot on the lake? From what the SAR experts have stated, even if the perp carried the girls, they would still likely leave a scent trail. Do we have any idea if they actually took the dogs around the entire perimeter of the lake? Unless there was a back and forth trail (a path to and from the lake) in the same vicinity, the lack of searching for an exit trail would make me think that either a) someone dropped the ball or b) there wasn't a true hit on a trail there. Just my inexperienced opinion.

From that link:
"News director Dan Schillinger said Thursday the station was in the process of giving authorities its full interview with Misty Morrissey, which has been available on its website. Cook was standing next to Morrissey during the interview, but she didn't speak. The station does not have any additional footage because its policy is to get rid of outtakes, Schillinger said."

Does that mean they do not have the raw footage?
