I don't know if she said specifically they had evidence the girls were alive, but I just read an article that said the police had physical evidence from an earlier report. Maybe that is what Breault meant. Would love to see the clip of her talking about they had reason to believe the girls were still alive.

I thought here was a PC on a Friday, where the FBI agent said evidence was found 'Friday'-not sure which Friday-and the evidence led them to believe the girls were alive. The next days PC did not show this much enthusiasm from the FBI. Somebody please let me know if I have my days wrong, it's summer and the kids not being in school with a regular schedule helps me to never k ow what day it is:/.

Which family members went to the lake that "they never went to" to look for the girls when they did not show up at home?

It look like shes dressing to impress, but...why would you give a crap how you look when your child is missing? Sorry, thats just my opinion.

I don't know, sometimes when you are depressed and beaten down it helps to try to sort of pull yourself together, or maybe they had another engagement, or maybe she usually dresses this way?

At least the aunt, grandmother, a little boy and maybe misty. Then they stood there for 20 minutes until the police showed up.

TO CINDER: Omg you were busy. I made it half way there and my car decided we were not going to Evansdale. So mad, stuck on the highway waiting for AAA to tow me to the nearest mechanic. At least I hung a bunch of the missing posters along the way. Back home at 2am, after spending 256.00, I am now ready to go try this again. One thing I thought of, Eldora boys home is not far from there. Any thoughts? Great job with the white van guy! Do you have his link to sex offender page? TIA

Back in my day, having a child go missing in the late 80's was nothing like today. No cell phones, texting, facebooking etc...found mine after 5 weeks tg, 2200 miles or more away. My story would chill you to the bones with so little help. I'm writing it, poor person who has to edit it. lol!

Bless your heart, how did you get through this experience? I will buy your book!

News clip from KETV (Omaha). The press conference where FBI’s Sandy Breault says they believe the girls are alive was on Saturday, July 21st. Beginning at 57 seconds into the news segment (from that press conference) Sandy Breault makes the statement:

FBI: Missing Iowa girls still alive - YouTube

Thank you for that. Is that the whole PC or just clips?

WTH? Stillettos? Really? UGH! Im sorry I just find that kinda, well no really wierd to be primped up like that.:banghead::what:

She's well put together in every photo I've seen of her, usually in very nice (heeled) shoes.

I suspect part of trying to maintain any kind of normalcy for your other children includes continuing to wear the clothing in your existing wardrobe, etc.

I see nothing wrong with going thru the 'normal' motions.. in fact I'm sure I'd be on autopilot, putting on outfits that I normally wear (including matching shoes 'normally' worn) would be part of that, as opposed to trying to dress down and make sure I look suitably sad.... if you know what I mean.... I hope that didn't come out wrong!

The purse belongs to Elizabeth, a cell phone that didn't work other then to play games was in it.

I wonder if there was something else in it that the girls took with them? I doubt it though.

This is bugging me-the cell phone did not work, but misty was expecting a text from Lyric, anyone remember that? I should really keep notes on this. I would like a timeline from each person and how it changed, if I get a chance I will try to work on it today. It is telling that LE has a different timeline than the family.

Did she say Maiden? Or did she say Arbutus? Or both? Tia!

Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2

I don't think TB said they parked by the lake, but she did say DC backed his truck in that area of Lake/Arbutus when searching. Remember the interview TB did with the well-known reporter and stated they were standing almost exactly where she and the man were supposedly standing when he stated he saw two girls riding bikes going west? I don't have the link, but we have discussed DC's truck being parked back there after she stated that. imo

I looked on Iowa sex offender registry and found a picture of the man I saw at the lake yesterday and he lives 2.51 miles from Meyers lake. I emailed the sheriff his license number.

I also just sent info to Omaha FBI, in case sheriff Mulberry ; ) doesn't follow thru.

Somehow I keep getting overlooked. I have seen comments regarding MCM "sobbing" in an interview. I have searched and can't find any video of her sobbing. I have missed something and can someone PLEASE send me a link?? :)

Regarding clothing, from another perspective...

I work in a school with a very poor socio-demographic. When there is a special event that families attend, I'm usually trying to hide my shock at what some of the folks wear. For some, their version of dressing up or trying to present themselves well, have them looking like hookers. I'm not saying that to be mean. they genuinely are trying to make themselves as presentable as they can.

I think any person being thrust into the spotlight is going to try to look their best, if for no other reason than to lend oneself a bit of respect and to give respect to the severity of the situation. This may be her 'sunday best'... I doubt she has something in her closet that folks wouldn't criticize her for?

I've been following this case from the beginning, and have read every post on every thread. Normally I post things, but for the past 24 hours have just been lurking and reading about everyone else's theories.

Now I have a question. If LE thinks the girls are alive, why did they announce that to the public? Wouldn't it have been better to say nothing - that way, people would be looking for live girls and clothing and anything suspicious. Saying that the girls are alive seems to make the focus too narrow, IMO.

Or maybe that last sentence just answered by own question.

What are those little ones lives like in the past couple weeks? If they are alive, are they being terrorized? raped? fed? cared for? I am thinking of so many bad things. pray that they come home NOW!!!!
