I doubt if this is related because the victims are very different--but the man they've just arrested for several cold-case murders is a truck driver living in Waterloo.

These appear to be what I call "body dumps", there are hundreds of unsolved ones across a big section of the country.

So he's from Iowa, but lived in Menomonie, WI, from 1996 until recent times. Also lived in Springfield, MO, previously. Gee, a few unsolved murders in that area.

Not positive, but it looks like he was living in Wisconsin when the girls were murdered. But yeah.

According to the article, they're digging on Timber Oak Road. No addresss. It's a little stub of a road with six or seven houses.

Timber Oak Road is very close to Meyers Lake... a 4 min or less drive according to Google Maps... Walkable too.

Also, Timber Oak Road is off of Gilbert Drive (well it's off of Cedar Valley Lake Trail but Gilbert turns into it), where the girls were last seen.

Yes. It's incredible how close all these locations are (grandmother's house, the lake, the bike trail, Gilbert Drive, and now Timber Oak Road).
