The last phone contact with the missing person was with a family member on the evening of 10/31/2024. The missing person's car was located in Sioux City occupied by another individual. The individual stated the last time they saw him he was walking away from the vehicle but was not able to tell law enforcement where or when that was.

The Sioux City Police Department and Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office said in a Friday release that a body was discovered in a field in rural Woodbury County on April 9. The Iowa State Medical Examiners Office in Ankeny identified the body as that of Joshua Eldridge, 51, of Sioux City.
