I may be in the minority on this but I used to always take my phone on my jobs. Now, I leave it at home. Depends on how you carry it, I suppose. But I feel like, unless the phone is strapped to your arm, it is a distraction and can make you less aware of your surroundings.

I don’t like to jog with my phone simply because of the weight. I think it’s better to run with it though in case something bad happens and you need help. That’s especially true if you are a female and jogging in an isolated area. I think the fact that she may have had her phone with her may lead to evidence that could be a huge lead in this case.

Question, and likely already covered here, if and when would the dogs have been locked in the basement under normal circumstances? Meaning was it normal for her and the Nd to do this? Would she have done this when she went for a jog, or if they left the house? Meaning were they down there so they didn’t “get into” things, etc? Tia and sorry for rehash, so many posts, doing my best.

It seems more likely she would have been abducted while jogging, imo, or someone saw her and followed her. Again confused about the timeline. Thank you for responding.

Most people I know who keep their dogs downstairs while they are gone want to keep them from getting into things upstairs. I’ve seen them put their dogs downstairs if children come over. It’s a safe place for the dogs. If the dogs bark while your busy visiting they go downstairs.

Here is a link I found today. There are many photos. If you scroll down to the last of the photos you’ll find a photo of her and the dogs. One is 1/2 Pitbull 1/2 Lab the other is a boxer mix. I’d feel real safe with them.

One more question, how often had she stayed at the boyfriend’s house in the past, and during these stays did she jog at this regular time and route, tia.

If the answer is not often and not jogging on a regular schedule then one has to consider a crime of opportunity. Is this a fair assumption? (Depending on the answer to this question). Thanks again for responding and sorry for rehash.

Thinking shirt is not hers.
If not...even fewer clues for LE than I imagined. Hoped the shirt would lead to Mollie.
My latest thoughts are she stayed in jogging clothes, did computer work, sent pic, put dogs downstairs and headed for family home to spend the night and go to work from there. I wish her mom jad clarified if she has extra contacts though.

I don’t know how many times she stayed there but the mother stated that Mollie kept belongings at both houses, so take that for what it’s worth. We know she jogged regularly as she was involved with cross country.

Since there has been a massive search effort closeby I wonder how far she has been taken out..I realize there are lots of cornfields etc...sorry thinking out loud, not sure where I’m going wth this post...

All the cases that I have in mind include an attack in the immediate area. They are encountered upon a trail or road and forced into the woods, where the assault and murder occurs. A difference here is geography. The perp could use a cornfield, but assuming that he has a vehicle, it might be conspicuous on the side of the road. This would necessitate transportation to another area.

My mind is going to the Karina Vetrano case in NYC from two summers ago. Her body was located in a marshy area where she went jogging.

If Mollie was grabbed by a landowner on his land, that person would obviously have a great incentive to remove her body from his land. That might not have been that difficult since she was out running as night was approaching. I pray she is found safe.

The Electric business next door (hopefully this mention isn't against TOS) is, to me, a strong point of origination. Someone dropping a payment off (could be done after hours, as prev. mentioned) became aware of her presence alone in that house. Whether it was an organized abduction, and thought out in advance, or disorganized, spur of the moment, I don't know. Just for me, logically, it's the proximity and opportunity that's standing out. I just don't think her abductor was someone she knew, even vaguely, from Brooklyn. I sure hope she makes it home. And, I know, also, a lot of ppl have trouble understanding ppl not locking doors. Very common, as many here who live or lived in Iowa, like myself, have mentioned. It's just the way it often is. As well as a general friendliness to whoever knocks on your door for, say, a glass of water. My guard went *way* down living there.

The electric co op offered to match a $1,000 reward on Saturday the 28th they also set up a tip hotline. At first I chalked it up as a small town pulling together and the co op’s relation to the home. However, Is it possible that their security cameras caught something that after review, compelled them to financially assist?

I think it depends on who took her and why. I still think it was someone she knew. If he took her because he was infatuated with her, then I don't think she was killed immediately. I hope she is being held - alive. But I doubt that's the case now. If she didn't know her abductor, then I figure she was sexually assaulted and killed immediately. But that's JMO.

Any areas under construction nearby? Homes?

I haven’t had any of these questions answered by everything I’ve read thus far. We know she stayed there atleast often enough to necessitate leaving some of her stuff there. To go a bit further with your questions, I’d like to know how often this particular situation arose where she would be house sitting.
