Results of polygraphs are known immediately to the tester. Some testees want to know the results immediately, some don't really care. As per what seems to be protocol for this case, while we learned there was a poly given this week, results were kept close to the vest.
There are 4 results to any poly; pass, fail, incomplete and inconclusive. LE said that while they had nothing for today, they would have more info on Monday.
My biggest fear is the poly will be inconclusive. And yet, it can offer us a more clear direction.
Personally, I think she felt she really knew the person she encountered and the situation went south in the wink of an eye. How sure are we that there isn't someone in town that loosely works in trafficking, collecting people for a bigger person just when the opportunity presents itself?

Just a caution, I don't think we can bring up trafficking in this thread. I brought that idea/subject up many, many threads ago and it went south quickly. A few said Mollie's not the "type" traffickers want.
Anyway, I think someone mentioned that there is another thread on the board dedicated to trafficking topics.

One of the articles mentioned that she used to text a quote for the day to one of her friends (? best friend). I wish I could remember which article. I believe the morning of the day she was reported missing she hadn't.

I think it was a video. But I can't remember which one!

Is this incident something that has been confirmed by MSM or LE anyway?

Not that I'm aware of. But, we can discuss Mollie's social media posts within TOS. MOO.

Who was this missing child they were looking for? Surely they did not mistake Mollie for a child???
An autistic boy who is missing.

I've read about a lot of searches. So, I'm not as skeptical of that. But, it is very possible she was missed in the searches. We had a poster here that was involved in the coordinated official searches.

https://www.thegazette.com/subject/news/public-safety/search-continues-mollie-tibbetts-brooklyn-missing-student-press-conference-investigators-news-search-university-of-iowa-details-leads-20180731?template=amphtml

"Thus far, in excess of 200 leads have been followed up on, (and) searches have included ground, air and the utilization of K-9s,” he said. “Since July 19, law enforcement and volunteers have searched tirelessly for Mollie, (and) investigators continue to work this case aggressively.”
Many might remember when Tim Miller came to town to search for Caylee Anthony and what a ride that was.
Then, much later, the poor dead child was found just blocks from her home at a favorite place of Casey's. I remember they even had dogs almost walking by. I forget the name of that handler. A woman with long hair said she was steps away and the dog scented nothing.

And LE has NOT publicly asked land owners to search their own properties. (correct me if I'm wrong) I find that interesting.
I’m not sure whether that is significant or not. I feel like based on tv etc we often overestimate the extent LE can and will reasonably go in these investigations...yes, even with a life hanging in the balance. It’s simply not realistic to search every square inch of an entire county...Im sure LE is focusing their limited resources and directing the public to focus their resources, on areas that are most likely and plausible based on what they know so far.

Search the Iowa Missing Persons Clearinghouse, if you have not done so already. Use advanced search. Select Gender: female. Age: 20 (that sets age range ~17-23). Click the Search button.

Missing Persons

I'm guessing the many results from that search reveals a possible reason why the FBI is so prevalent in this case. Others?
WOW, 30 from just this year! Over double from last year. We can assume given their age (late teens) that perhaps a good majority of these are runaways and haven't been found and ones from last year probably have been located. Still, that is a lot of young females missing. The saddest part is runaways fall into the vulnerable category that would be preyed upon for sex trafficing. Very frightening. I do not believe MT is in this category at all.

I am not sure if LE ever referenced such an incident, much less confirm it but, we may safely assume the incident occurred since the information comes 'directly' from MT via a text message sent to DJ.

I see and where does DJ give his account of receiving this text message? Is there an interview he gave with that info?

Who would like to be a fly on the wall in the war room when they discuss this case?

Sorry, not TOS police by any means - just hadn’t seen that or heard where that story came from.

Texas Equisearch only comes if asked by LE...and they need specific areas to search...they don’t just search a town, etc...they aid by searching areas LE needs searched specifically. I don’t think LE has an area. Jmo

It is on her Instagram. A screenshot of their conversation.

I'd say the sheer amount of FBI presence has made resources quite unlimited.

What? Mollie was mistaken for an autistic boy who was wearing a pink coat?

I am sorry, wrong answer. I thought you were referring to a possible rally for MT and an autistic boy who is missing.

Apparently there was a 10-11 y/o girl last seen with a pink overcoat in Iowa City. MT was studying in the library when police checked it out.

Gotcha thanks. Bizarre for sure. Is there a clear context as to why she screenshotted that convo for Instagram? Maybe just because she didn’t want to type out the whole story again?
