Well, one thing that we can maybe grab onto to create connections to possible POI's is that it seems the perp had prior knowledge that Mollie would be solo at the house that night. Absent Mollie announcing it to the world on her SM, who reasonably could've been privy to that info?
END OF QUOTE
I agree with the above to the extent that being a small town the person knew that the boys were not home and or out of town when he followed her back to see where she was staying. Probably didn't know the girl at all. But knew now where she was at, and that she would be alone that night. If I remember correctly though i could be wrong. I dont think she disappeared on the first night she went their. Maybe she did i just dont remember.

I see and where does DJ give his account of receiving this text message? Is there an interview he gave with that info?
I think it might have been a Fox news interview. I saw it.

Lol truly hilarious. We can’t suggest trafficking as a possible outcome of a disappearance... but we can spend five pages debating whether it’s dinner or supper because, after all, you can just “scroll and roll!” Sheesh.
I have not heard anything about not being permitted to discuss trafficking, in fact that's what many in her town are speculating, and it's in the news. I think at some point people were debating so much it became overwhelming , but someone correct me if I am wrong that a mod stated it was off limits

Respectfully, there is an area devoted to trafficking on WS. It is certainly an important issue- just generally not relevant to the majority of missing persons cases. Unless a case has a likely or clear link to it, it truly is only a distraction to discuss.

I found the dinner, supper conversation quite interesting. I had no idea that dinner=lunch in some areas. But, agree probably not the most helpful to this case. Moo.

I can't imagine how frustrating this must be for family, friends, and LE. Hopefully they can just focus and find her. This is getting difficult to even think about.

Sure and even these agents don’t bring down the full wrath of the US Justice Department to solve a single murder. I’m just trying to set reasonable expectations...they will NEVER search “all the land” in the county, so it’s not a shock that the authorities haven’t implored the land owners to do so themselves. It’s impossible, even with a whopping 15 FBI agents. Not only that, it’s a waste of time...investigations don’t just search an entire 20 mile radius...they focus on likely spots and areas that have some glimmer of hope based on what they do know for sure.
I think the poster may be referring to other missing cases where LE has asked that people check their properties, especially when it's rural and there are outbuildings. In AH's case, at several PC's they requested people search their outbuildings, property and vacant travel trailers, etc.

Are there ever circumstances where LE has asked a landowner to search his or her own land?

I'd suggest asking a mod if you want to discuss. I don't remember any issue, but then something may have happened.

Not sure if the site Crime Online is considered MSM, but they have an interview with the guy who last saw her jog by and here is the 10% of the article worth noting:

"(the witness) said the name-calling, such as being called “killer” and “pervert” by social media users online, while other people bang on his door, has stressed him out and scared his young daughter. He reiterated that the FBI already questioned him and he has not been named a suspect in Mollie’s disappearance."

Ok, now seriously, if anyone is wondering why a person who knew something would not come forward and tell the police, all one has to do is look at how they've treated some of the people who have so far. People need to be a little less "angry mob" and a little more "helpful citizen". JMHO

The police do not release names of people they interview. This man told his news on a FB page, if I am not mistaken, so his name was leaked by himself. And he keeps giving interview.

I believe any killer or kidnapper would have to have been living under a rock for the last 10 years to not know to disable a cell phone or toss it at the first opportunity. But the Fitbit? If Mollie had one of the Fitbits that has to work with a cell phone to provide a location or route a kidnapper would seem to have disabled the Fitbit capability to be tracked by simply disabling the phone. There are supposedly two Fitbit models - Ionic and Surge - that have built in GPS and may not depend on the phone. But how many of us really know that if we didn't use one? I doubt that whoever did this gave her Fitbit a second thought regardless of which model she used.

Has this been discussed... In the 1st day(s) there were so many people involved and searching that no one was home when LE went to doors to question people. I think this is a loophole of sorts.... thoughts? I read that LE told people to go home. That is conflicting.

Yes, when AH went missing LE asked people to search their properties. It was a rural area with farms and outbuildings, and also a tourist area where there were properties that were vacant during winter months.

It must be living hell, a parent’s worst nightmare. I hope law enforcement and the FBI get the lead they badly need. I also hope Mollie’s family know how much people care and want to help.

I’m still chuckling about “ping farmer”

People always think “sex trafficking” and it never is...not in these cases with this sort of victim. Just as when a child is missing, we all think abduction, when so often they have wandered off and tragically ended up in a pond. The ST issue goes on and on, once started here, and unless LEA have said it is likely, it gets unwieldy...anyway there is a forum here for those discussions. JMO

Yes, many cases. I thought early days in LE did make that request? Anyone remember?

There will also be new areas about breakfast-lunch-dinner, American Indians, and NFL preseason predictions.

They seemed so down at the last presser. I’m actually a little surprised the bf moved back into the house already. I’m
Not sure I could for awhile.

How can clarifying the dinnertime she was supposed to show up at not be helpful? From the timeline, that exact item is where the whole thing went wrong. That's the exact moment, even though no one knew it at the time, that things went differently than they were supposed to. If someone says they will be home for dinner, and then they never show up for dinner, or anything ever again, that's pretty important. We've never really heard what time Mollies family considers dinnertime, and on the timeline we have here, every minute and every item on the timeline is very helpful. JMHO
