No not always the case. They have many many more resources
I should phrase it differently. Doesn't the FBI usually take over a case when crimes cross state lines?

That’s ONE of the reasons, yeah.

Yes, but it was important to clarify what those things are called in the area, because obviously from the conversation not every region calls it the same thing. For all someone from my region would be able to fathom, she was asking what was for lunch the next day. Since she really did mean supper, and that was the last thing that was for sure happening that night, it's the turning point of the evening. IMO, that's exactly the details that will matter. Posting about being irritated about having to scroll through it? I say well then don't. I care about finding this person. If some posters are bored, they are in the wrong place.

I was only replying to someone who brought that up... It did not bother me. In fact, I said I found it interesting. Goodness. I think we are all here out of concern for Mollie. We are also getting to a point in the case that people start becoming agitated. When I start to get bothered by what people are posting, I know it is time for a break. :)

I keep lists so I don't forget things :) I'd still suggest they ask a mod to make sure. I'm not on much during the day so I might have missed it.
Hey Everyone,

We are discussing the topic of trafficking and will have an answer for you later or in the morning.
Thanks for your patience.

That is very sad it is such a badly needed organisation that does a lot of good.
Maybe the money raised for Molly could be donated to his foundation to help find her & others missing

May not be anything, but that definitely peaks my interest!

In my mind, I can see someone just like that guy being a suspect. Kinda weird.

Yes, the someone who brought it up has been bothered by quite a few posts. I wasn't referring to you being bothered. Anyway, I will take a break. I hope tomorrow has good news. Some news. News. Anything.

It's actually on the FBI website, the conditions under which their services are rendered.... called in.... however it's termed, fwiw. Which isn't to imply those are the sole conditions.

People always think “sex trafficking” and it never is...not in these cases with this sort of victim. Just as when a child is missing, we all think abduction, when so often they have wandered off and tragically ended up in a pond. The ST issue goes on and on, once started here, and unless LEA have said it is likely, it gets unwieldy...anyway there is a forum here for those discussions. JMO
MT is missing so it make sure more sense to discuss possible sex trafficking here in her missing person thread. I think it’s ok for someone to post their own thoughts whether it’s sex trafficking or not and if someone doesn’t want to discuss it, they can simply ignore and “scroll & roll”. Personally, although MT looks younger than 20, I don’t think this is a sex trafficking case. I think she was either abducted by a serial abducter on her jog or abducted from someone she knows.

I think the postponement was due to no new info that they planned to share, so why bother? The case has plenty of attention so they did not need to have one today to keep it in the news.

Marshalltown, Iowa Police seek person of interest | WHO Radio News | WHO Radio

Not sure if this could be related to MT, but it's about an hour away from Brooklyn.

Police believe the subject lives in the Des Moines area, and frequents shopping malls and discount centers in Des Moines and surrounding areas.

Well that’s an interesting detail.... A. That they know it and B. That they decided to include it. Wonder what he did to get their attention, and when?

This case is so heart breaking to me because I do not think Mollie is alive.
I hope I am wrong. I don't know what happened to her but I think I know the outcome.

His being at the fair today sunk it for me...that seems so sad and desperate...

It did to me too, but I felt better reading this: Rob Tibbetts said he is blown away by the support he received at the fair and grateful that his daughter's story has been embraced across Iowa. Father, boyfriend of Mollie Tibbetts turn to fairgoers for help
