I see, yeah. Boy that would be some luck, right? Which leads me to a pre-planned abduction. To what end, though. Now I'm more considering motive.
Sex assault.

"For whatever reason" - well, we all need a little hope at this point. Try breaking it down and trying to explain why you feel this?Jazz, I’m interested in your take. For whatever reason I got the distinct impression law enforcement thinks Molli is alive.
I didn't watch The Sopranos.. I don't know the answer to your question.
@-9:45: "We're looking at all options, all possibilities, and we'll continue to do that..."
My ears perked up at the mention of "brave witnesses" coming forward. I definitely found the use of the word "brave" worth noting. Also, LE's interest in trying to identify "any bystanders" was interesting. I got the strong impression that LE thinks there are residents not coming forward with useful information.
Sounds to me like they still do not have a solid working theory of what happened. IMO, they're casting about. My impression of this is only reinforced by the generic appeal issued in the pc that people call in if someone around them has changed their appearance, behavior, substance use, vehicle" etc., since July 18th. LE uses that exact same language in almost all unsolved crimes when they're casting a wide net hoping to get a useful tip. MO, the one thing that LE continues to sound at all confident about is their timeline of MT's movements. I wish I felt more hopeful that LE was much further along in their investigation than they're letting on, but that's not the vibe I'm getting. JMO and HIWAT. (HIWAT=Hope I'm Wrong About That)
Local blog said folks are staying in due to the press being in town and all the random folks driving through. Yesterday it was sad that a number of people said they didn't even want to leave to go to church due to the press.
We have had no information from LE about the red shirt, at all.Would someone mind providing me with the latest on the "red shirt"?
Did MT's parents or LE confirm a red shirt was found, or if was ruled out as being Mollie's? TIA!!
Nope apparently 500. I think that means another 2 months. Sorry I know that sounded snarky. (I'll probably get snipped) Bad owl. Bad owl.It has been almost four weeks since Mollie went missing. In a town of 1,500 they have had time to question literally everyone.
Actually I've been hoping that the conditions of the reward be changed. Someone is much more likely to offer information if that someone could possibly collect the reward, much more so since that someone might know that there is no possible way to facilitate her return.from the govt website: "A large reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of Mollie."
Recovery...Not return.

That may be why the family looked so very disheartened .Wow, I didn't notice that. Ugh
I think that LE made a huge mistake early on, by not making the public aware of the things they mentioned today. If they had come out initially, and told the public to be aware of fresh injuries, vehicle damage, behavioral changes, and a change in appearance, this would have increased the likelihood of more people calling in to report people who have exhibited these things.
Over three weeks have now passed, and people may not remember certain things, especially fresh injuries that a person has observed in regards to someone else.
I chalked up lack of comment by LE early on, as evidence that they had something solid to work with. I was clearly wrong, and am disturbed greatly by this apparent oversight.
Completely agree, disorganization usually means SOMETHING goes awry. In Mollie's case, it seems we have nothing. Not one single thing to go on other than a map of possible places Mollie could have been. This is not random IMO. This is beyond calculated. However, the likelihood of a disorganized crime of opportunity being clean is far lower.
I knew one fellow who could take people to the state line markers from the civil war -- no not that civil war. The Honey War -- a civil war between Iowa and Missouri. The Honey War is an official USA civil war.![]()
Her passport? Was left at home unless you are thinking of someone else.It might just mean they checked for passport use.
Good point. But I'm still unclear on the terms of the reward. Can someone point that out for me? Is it safe return only, or leads to an arrest and conviction of a guilty party?I disagree. I think the entire point of the PC is to publicize the reward is now quite substantial and still growing. A reward can be quite an incentive when someone wants out of an abusive relationship and to start over.
the perp could have been in town as early as 5pm. Maybe visiting someone. A repairman perhaps.
This case is headed for the Delphi girls and missy bevers cases. Cold. On fire, then the reality she may never be found, and no suspect ever arrested.
