Regarding IM and MT: They're both female with long dark hair. I don't see a resemblance either.

Similar height, dark hair, dark eyes, similar body type... close enough.

It is kind of difficult to imagine what life is like in rural Iowa when you’ve lived in a large city your entire life. I mean, I think people know the basics but it’s hard to put yourself in rural shoes if you’ve only known the city. There were many questions regarding map/location/cornfields that were thankfully answered thoroughly enough for me to understand. Plus, the cornfields are just incredible- I had NO IDEA they were so dense and could hide a body so well for such a long period of time.
I completely agree, but i'd never thought of all the many differences between the two!

I've posted many of these interviews from Mollie's peers. They also described CR as well spoken and friendly. Some texted with him, and some even FB friends. What changed was at least 2 women suddenly noticed him following them, and being creeped out about the notion of seeing him in a car seemingly watching them yet none felt threatened enough to contact LE or file an incident report about him. Instead, they chose to ignore him next they saw him. What I think was missed by OP is that CR befriended his targets, his prey. His targets were initially at ease with him. CR acted as a skilled predator! I don't think Mollie his first victim. He is very dangerous and the community was at risk. MOO

I have questions. Maybe a fellow WS poster can offer insights or good guess answers;

1. Did CBR have criminal history?

2. Was this attack/murder preplanned?

3. What was your understanding of CBRs understanding and use of the English language?

4. Did CBR have the attitude of a macho Latino male? (This and any other content is not used ever to reflect racism or any suggestion of a racial bias in any size, shape or form). I am not a racially biased person.

5. Do you think CBR was a perpetrator of physical or emotional domestic violence?

6. Please share your opinion whether or not you think CBR was a repeat offender or could this have been his very first criminal act?

<modsnip: snipped quote that was removed>

I believe the ban regards discussing the 'politics' of illegal immigration, not the 'facts' regarding CR' status. Sleuthing the xGF is off limits other than what is presented in news, i.e., "[IM] and [CR] have a child and are separated but she was at the hearing and appeared distraught...", etc.

If that 8:28pm is not based on Fitbit, and on something else like him on video, or using a credit card, or some other specific, than maybe they don't have a specific time of death. We may never know. JMO
It could also be evidence from his phone. He used his phone to show them where she was, I know Google will show when he was there on the timeline.

First answer is, we don't know, second is, it does appear premeditated, if only by minutes before the attack. Third, he was able to speak English, but not necessarily fluently, more like conversational, as he needs a translater. The fourth I dont see how we could know. As far as what kind of killer he is, in my opinion he has the makings of a serial killer, along with signs of Anti- Social Personality Disorder, which many people refer to as a psychopath, which is a very old term but much easier to say! The reason for my assumption is his apparent lack of remorse, the brutality of the crime, and for his justification of his actions and victim blaming we have heard from his statements in his interview.... at the very least he has Narcissistic Personality. I’m just going to throw this out here, a question I’m struggling with... prior to MT’s body being located there was a lot of focus on 470th street (a mile south of 460th where her body was found). I originally thought that all had to do with WC, but that farm is West of Hwy21 (220th St) and LE was searching intensely the 1 mile stretch East of Hwy21, between 220th and 235th. There had to be a reason for that focus...

I’m thinking we’re speculating CR’s route to the cornfield all wrong. 470th Street definitely came into play early in the search.
So would that oppose the conclusion that he could have gotten there in 20 minutes, as was proposed yesterday?

Where is that second picture taken?
Northbound on Hwy21 looking east down 470th St. They have both ditches mowed and are searching with dogs.

Yes, that would take more than 20 minutes.

I would think it would only take seconds to open it himself.

I think there is a small path to the right of the gates if I remember correctly; so he didn't need to touch the gates at all.

I doubt he has been away from Iowa often since coming to US. Maybe Iowa can apply for a grant to get caught up on testing DNA in rape cases there at least.

Forensics can tell if clothing was removed or simply disintegrated (not likely) or fell away later.

#2. I don’t know that it’d ever really be known to what degree an attack is preplanned but LE must have reason to believe CR was equipped with a “sharp” instrument, which most often refers to a knife.

Sometimes the words “preplanned” and “premeditated” are perceived as one and the same but that’s not necessarily so. Maybe that’s what you’re thinking of?

If so, this explains “premeditation” better than I can:

“The definition of the term “premeditate" is to think or ponder upon a matter before acting.

Under Iowa law, deliberation and premeditation need not exist for any particular length of time before the act. The term ”malice" is a state of mind which leads one to intentionally do a wrongful act to the injury of another or in disregard of the rights of another out of actual hatred, or with an evil or unlawful purpose.”

No, not at all; I've read the same articles as you; one of the articles says 'looking back at it now, it seemed strange'. So at the time there was nothing untoward; it was just him being a total 'Dodo' (prehistoric).

Premeditation can be as simple and knowing what he’s about to do will likely cause her death. It can literally be less than a second before doing it.

I wonder if Onstar could also indicate where else he may have stopped to dispose of the murder weapon, provided LE didn't find it on his possession or in the house. I hope they checked everywhere within throwing distance from MTs body. Would we even know if the weapon had been found since the press conference?

I wonder if they have found it as they are not asking the public to look for a discarded sharp.....?

  • #359
He may well have given the weapon to LE when he confessed or later on, or it may have turned up in a search of his premises. LE has not said either way.
