How would the stolen identity person's birthday be known?

It’s way to much to write up on a post but you can look up how illegals steal identities, they basically start with a fake birth certificate and work their way up to getting all the documents

It's very easy. Once you get someone SS number, or even a credit card number, you can get all the information you need. I have a friend who has spent the better part of her adult life fighting identity theft. She was mugged, her license was in the purse along with banking and credit cards. Years later she applied for a home loan and was denied based on several unpaid credit cards, credit card fraud and passing worthless instruments. That was her first indication that her identity had been stolen. It's plagued her ever since. Every time she buys a car, filing for parent plus loans, etc. It's been a nightmare. Not only was her identity stolen it was sold and although it made no sense, she was apparently living in several states across the US at the same time and no one caught it.

But how would they know if they can't ask questions?

Plus he had documents of an American citizen, MOO

He was for all intents and purposes JB, and it all checked out as clean

Exactly. An employer has to verify the documents showing employment authorization. That's been the law for decades.

Social Security doesn't give out birth dates. If someone posing as John Budd were to call SS, they'd ask HIM to verify his birth date not the other way around.

Found this

Iowa E-Verify Requirements
No requirement to use E-Verify for checking employees' status.

Driver's License/ID Requirements
Must show proof of citizenship or legal residence.

Iowa State Immigration Laws - FindLaw
In the link I posted up thread, legilatures in both Nebraska and Iowa are considering changing that to mandatory because of Mollie's murder. The dairy owner has pledged to use e-Verify going forward.

Rather then CR's education records; his medical records if they exist would be far more telling; has he been diagnosed with any mental conditions that could have contributed to his heinous actions on that evening / night?

Trust me, if you think getting education records is tough, you ain't seen nothing yet! No way you are gonna be getting any of his medical records, from either Mexico or the US. JMO

He should, but it wasn’t at the time he hired CR/JB

Very sad!

It should be federal law, no ifs ands or buts about it!

Identity theft is very harmful to identity theft victims. There really is no excuse for an employer not to use e-Verify and I was flabbergasted to learn it isn't mandatory in some states.

Unless the person is paid in cash under the table they have to follow these guidelines since 1986.

Since November 6, 1986, everybody seeking a job in the United States must fill out an I-9 form at the point of hire to supposedly prove that they are legally allowed to work in the United States.

The new hire must show the employer some documents that corroborate the information on the I-9 form, copies of which the employer must keep on site.

This requirement has had multiple negative effects.

The second negative effect of IRCA is its creation of a large-scale black market for legal documents in the United States.

The value of document fraud increased after ICRA because false documents became necessary for illegal immigrants to fill out an I-9 form to work.

Since working is the main reason immigrants, especially illegal immigrants, come to the United States, a growing cottage industry of black market identity documents rose to serve them.

There is 8,904 birth records for the name John Budd in Ancestry. There may be several people walking around with that name. If anyone knows dob, I will research further.
Found 99 John Budd names on Intelius.

Until Mollie's murder, I thought it was required. I had no idea it was optional. Very, very sad.

It creates unreal havoc in your life

My card number was stolen from a pizza, within an hour 5 grand flew out of my account.

I tracked all the people down and the bank didn’t care, they just refunded me my money

What a racquet

I would like to assume since CR/JB was driving a car LE said belongs to him, he would have a drivers licence and registration instead of a State ID. That doesn't make sense... Who was the vehicle registered to????

  • #497
I think the smartest way to do it would be to find the SSN for someone who died before collecting any SS. They'd already have a number, and wouldn't draw suspicion by 2 people using the same name and number in different places. If there was no immediate family (wife or children) to collect benefits, it's possible the death would never be reported. I know there were 2 men with that name in Iowa, one would be 106 now and the other 148 ( think), but I have no idea when they died or if they had families. I don't think anyone really looks at the age unless you're trying to collect benefits. MOO

In his arrest warrant it’s noted he doesn’t have one

I don’t recall LE saying it was his car, I may be wrong but I think they said it’s registered to someone else, I think they tracked it back to the owner who told them CR/JB uses it

So he was driving illegally as well

If they are suspicions, they could just not hire them. That what an employer would normally do with any job applicant, they are suspicious of. Just don't hire them.

I am sure LE knows, but all we know is that it was not registered to CR, and he has no Iowa drivers license or state issued ID of any kind.
