Jeez, in Michigan I have to show registration and proof of ins. to renew tabs every year

apparently you live a life within the limits of the law. apparently he did not.

sure most people get insurance. and that would require a id. a bank finance would likely check for insurance. I'm not so sure a we tote the note lot would. I also am not so sure he would be concerned about being legal. also the issue of fake id, do we know he had no DL in any name or just that in his legal name he did not have?

Those 'no money down, no credit check" car lots may provide the insurance and tags. All included in the payment. To protect their car for possible repo. Like a long term rental until you finally pay it off five years later. Then you get the title.

arrest warrant was for CR. would it even say anything about a fake name?

I have no idea, I think at that point the farm had probably told them the name he stole and they ran that name too.

Needless to say, LE said they had to trace the car back to him, so it was either not in his name or it was under JB

or a additional name that we don't know. we know a little, but just because we know a little does not mean there isn't more to be known. I do agree that CR, the name, did not have a DL. I also think it unlikely the name CR owned a car. the person may have owned the car under a fake name. the fake name may have had a DL.

I'm pretty sure the Malibu was borrowed. I'll try to find the link.

I don't have the link, but there was a article posted yesterday where the farm stated they didn't know it was their employee until they seen him on the news. I do not think LE knew the JB yet when warrant was written. at least not from the farm.

The Chevy Malibu that investigators linked to Cristhian Rivera, the illegal immigrant suspected of killing Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts, was not registered in Rivera's name, a law enforcement source revealed to Fox News on Wednesday.

The special agent said there were "some distinct features to the vehicle that allowed us to basically search the area for it and just happened that we were able to locate the vehicle, and subsequently identify Mr. Rivera driving the vehicle."

Sorting out CR's job duties. He wasn't milking cows. He worked with Yarrabee Farm's award winning breeding program. To most undocumented workers, it seems like his job would be a pretty decent job. What motive could make him risk "la vita dolce"? Compared to riding a mule five miles a day, he had it made. o_O

"Rivera had worked at the farm for 4 years and assisted with cow movement and cow husbandry.

Dane Lang also clarified that the farm did not know Rivera was the suspect charged with the murder of Mollie Tibbett's murder until he saw the photo on the news."

Murder Charges filed in death of Mollie Tibbetts

And maybe ironic, Yarrabee Farms cows (the ones' CR tended) won top honors at the state fair where Mr. Tibbetts and Dalton J handed out flyers.

"DES MOINES, IA (08/27/2018) (readMedia)-- Top dairy farms competed for honors in the Ayrshire Dairy Cattle show judged at the 2018 Iowa State Fair.

Yarrabee Farms of Brooklyn showed the Grand Champion Female, Champion Premier Breeder, Intermediate Champion Female and earned the Lifetime Production at the Ayrshire Cattle Show."

I love her fluffy tail.

Oh ya, I remember that now!

I wonder where he was first picked up by LE, I thought it was at the farm

Ya, the warrant is 6-11-1994=24

6-11-1997=21

There are birthday cake pics of him and it looks like there are 16-17 candles and IM looks pregnant, so that must have been 2015-16?

So 1997 could be correct??

Like possibly one of the used car lots on his FB Likes page?

I was thinking the Nissan is his car and the Malibu was borrowed (IM?) idk The Nissan had gravel road dust on it.
Could he have used two cars. Abduction black Malibu and moved her to cornfield in the back seat of the Nissan?

If you look closely at the affadavit, where his name is written, the scratched out part looks like he started to write "Chr"...versus "Cri". Does anyone else see this? Imo...

I was just thinking, even if CR didn't show them where the body was, his cell phone was likely pinging in the same location as hers. They could have tracked his pings maybe, and maybe his pings would have showed that he lingered in the corn.

Cellphones ping to one or more cell towers within their proximity but cell tower records don’t determine the actual location of the cellphone. At best, either or both cellphones could’ve indicated a radius of the location within a few miles, but not a precise spot. Although he might’ve not been aware of that, if LE bluffed.

However either Chevy OnStar/GPS data or activated Google Maps/location services very possibly is also what would’ve nailed him to the wall, had he not given up the location of her body to LE.

Either way, after LE tracked him down I’m still quite amazed at how quickly CR crumbled.
