Good catch! I missed that. So maybe he was wondering if he needed to pick her up from work. How did she normally get to work? Why isn’t anyone telling that detail? This is maddening.
That’s what I think and maybe when he never heard back from her, he just went to pick her up after work and that’s why he knew before her parents that she wasn’t at work? Does anyone know how old her brother is? Younger or older than her?

ETA: I ask only because it seems like an older brother thing to do, to go pick her up at work even though he hadn’t heard from her.

As anyone can see on the sheriff's FB page, there was a home burglary reported in the 200 block of W Des Moines Ave (about 4 blocks from where Mollie was) two days before Mollie disappeared.

Burglars like to break into construction trucks and homes with tools as these have a good resale value. (Mollie's boyfriend and his brother work in construction. Brother has his own construction company.)
correct but would they not know that already, surely if she was abducted from the house there would be a struggle. I also would think cell phone would be left

what about a uber driver or lyft

This is a good question. If she ordered an UBER or Lyft the payment would be on her bank statement. UBER drivers are creeps! I have heard some scary stories about UBER drivers. UBER recently started tightening their background checks, and they made a panic button on their app. Uber tightens driver background checks This is after all these women (mostly) have come forward about their drivers.

I have trouble on these websites, I always over anaylize everything. It drives me crazy sometimes where I have to take breaks. So I try and think of all possible scernios.

One case. In my experience that is highly unusual. The word I used is "typical". Those of us who've been doing this or years we'll know that these days actually clearing people publicly is rare.

Gosh even when they know who did it or have a good idea, they usually don't clear people until there's an arrest. The recent case of Katlynn Cargill is a common example.
I've been sleuthing for over a decade on here. No way is that unusual. Not at all. They're protecting the integrity of the case. Sometimes a timeline is published and sometimes it's withheld, depending on the circumstances.

This is 5 days in folks. This is just beginning.

I don’t have any issues with LE not clearing anyone. My issue is her friends and family almost stating it as a fact (about her bf) whether he’s a POI or not.

Their are so many articles out there each with contradicting information. I wasn’t saying that we need a detailed timeline but shoot, the last time someone actually laid eyes on her or the last time she was seen on cctv would be nice. And I agree they need to hold details close to them but her face is all over nation wide and within maybe 2 days. Sometimes wita highly publicized cases such as this one is turning out to be, little to no actual details might go against them. All I keep thinking about is how much this sounds like Jennifer Kesse...IMO.

I'm new; could you point me to articles where the information apparently contradicts?

Are they just searching Brooklyn and surrounding areas? I mean, she could be any where.

I could be wrong...

but

I live in a very rural area in KS. The town nearest (which is probably a bit smaller than Mollie's hometown) would not have any Uber type trans. available. The bigger town that is 30 -40 mins away would, but I would think that would be super expensive.

“Mollie Tibbetts, 20, was last seen moments before going on an evening run while dog-sitting at a home in Brooklyn, Iowa, at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.”

Theirs an example, one says Thursday and one says Wednesday.

I understand what you're saying, and again, I'm reminded of our friend "Foxfire" who railed against the archaic rules of "Hoover's FBI". The public is the number 1 resource in finding a missing person. There are certain things that they may, or should, keep close to the cuff but a timeline is not one of them IMO. People that could possibly have seen a missing person will dismiss it if they think, "Oh, i saw on FB that she was seen AFTER the time I saw her so it doesn't matter, or whatever. I know that opening things up to the public brings out the crazies and some leads are not leads at all but that's why you call in the FBI/BCI/State police as soon as humanly possible. They are the ones with the resources to weed thru 100's or 1000's of comments and leads. They make their labs, their computer geeks, their boots on the ground, their media representatives available to local LE who most times, are woefully unprepared.

We didn't find Ce in time, but I firmly believe, as does my family, that we found her buried remains because of the PUBLIC, and because of the PC going on, social media, public involvement. It was a member of the public that found her..not LE, not the dogs. It is the public's perception of what the disappearance entails that keeps them motivated to help you find them. I am saying in our case, the fact that they vetted and gave Josh the "CLEARED, NOT A SUSPECT" so promptly, helped move the investigation forward, retained the interest of the public, and allowed us to bring her home for a proper burial. Again..JMO, and I still do wish that LE was more forthcoming with the details in respect to this case. Not even having a definitive last sighting shared, I think is ridiculous.

This has just been my experience. The investigation while she was missing was well-coordinated and well done almost immediately. Now the trial...don't get me started on that!

Thanks. Basic fact, easily fact-checked. Anything you've noted with contradictions involving perceptions or opinions of this case's spokespeople - family, friends, LE?

A new article featuring the boyfriend. He says he did not open the Snapchat until 10pm at night, which is a huge difference. It would be helpful to know what time she sent it.

Mollie Tibbett's boyfriend confident she will be found

The last line of the article:

“Dalton says he's confident they'll find her and will bring her back home safely.”

He’s confident.

I know what I think of that. Gitana, Blondie, cluciano, I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.

Would it play better if he had said he wasn't confident?

No UBER in Brooklyn Iowa

The dude loves Mollie and doesn't want to accept the worst case scenario. Everyone wants to believe their loved one will come home alive and well... despite what statistics have to say.

Edited and then something went wrong... I miss the old way of things on here.

Subscribing with link posted a few hours ago, but may already be posted here.
Also, wondering if they can get some drones in there to help with the search?
Search for Iowa college student continues after she vanished on a jog | Daily Mail Online
"Authorities have spent the past five days combing every field, barn, shed and building near the missing girl's home.

The farming ground has made it difficult to conduct air searches.

'We're surrounded by farm ground - corn and soy beans,' sheriff Kriegel told ABC News. 'Right now the corn is probably 8, 9 feet tall. The only way you can search it is basically walk down every other row. It's difficult. Even the planes flying over have a difficulty looking down in the corn rows.'

Kayakers also continue to search nearby rivers.

A Facebook page dedicated to locating Tibbetts said the sheriff's office was working with the university and social media companies on the case.

Investigators are hoping they will be able to access her computer and online accounts to zone in on her whereabouts. "

We have no idea what law enforcement knows because they aren't sharing. We don't know if there was a struggle or not. The family has stated that they don't know this.
A burglar would take a cell phone because it's valuable. A smart burglar would quickly remove the battery and SIM card.
