IA - Sgt. Anthony Beminio, 38, & Officer Justin Martin, 24, fatally shot, 2 Nov 2016

So. The cops said "here, we have your property and will return it to you" and he... murdered them instead? Am I understanding that correctly?
After watching the video, my impression is that filing an assault charge against the perp(s) who smacked his head before stealing his flag was the issue he was emphasizing throughout most of the ten minute dialogue with police. The video shows that the police were very resistant to the man’s request to file a report for an assault charge against the person who smacked his head.

4:14 ". . . it was a smacking motion that hit, that glanced off the side of my head, and then grabbed the flag out of my hand.”

I'll bet it took a lot of self-restraint on the part of LE to not send this guy on a one way trip to the afterlife.

I haven't heard anything at all about what the possible motive would be.........anger ? Rage? Insanity ?

It's my understanding that both cops were simply parked and minding their own business right before he blindsided them.

Why would he do something like that ?

I am beyond sick and disgusted with all the haters who are attacking innocent police officers. I cant go a week without reading about another police officer being shot and either died or was severely injured fighting for their lives. I read on MSNBC this morning that police officers who have been murdered this year in the line of duty is UP 300% from this same time last year. Never mind all of the multiple many thousands who are assaulted each year as well leaving many with life changing injuries.:(

I don't care what race the hater happens to be in each case because they are ALL the scum of the earth who represents the very worst among us. IMO The blind hatred in ALL of their hearts is what drives and motivates each of them to murder innocent officers in cold blood.

Police departments/agencies have always had deaths due to them being murdered in the line of duty but what has changed now is they are being stalked and hunted like prey by hate filled executioners they don't even know is there.

Before this madness and insanity hit our country like a ton of bricks if a police officer died from gunfire in the line of duty it was usually due to a face to face confrontational shooting where the suspect wound up shooting and killing the officer when gunfire was exchanged between the two. Tragically, that is no longer the case. How do they even know who to look out for when they don't even know where/who the enemy is or where they may be hiding waiting to strike right out of the blue without any warning?

I cant even begin to imagine what their wives/husbands/children/families go through every single day just worrying constantly if they will be THE ONE chosen the next time by the next hater. God bless these two officers who now will be added to a Memorial Wall no one ever wants to be on and God be with their heartbroken families.:(

IMO

He went to the game to intentionally terrorize African American's with a flag that symbolizes beliefs that they are inferior and holds a history of violence and racism. That is what kind of person he is

He's had previous run-ins with the law and he's lucky he wasn't shot in 2014:

Greene was “noncompliant, hostile, combative and made furtive movements toward his pockets” before the arrest, Officer Chris Greenfield wrote in the complaint. Greene pleaded guilty to the charge about two weeks later.

The Confederate Flag incident (wth??) might have been the last straw for him. He can't threaten and harass his neighbors, beat up his girlfriend, resist arrest, and now he can't taunt people with his racist flag at a high school football game. Poor guy.

The system must be rigged

Do you have a link that insinuated it is probably a radical islamist terrorist that may or may not have ties to middle east? BTW i haven't read that radical islamist terrorist had to have ties to the middle east. Jmo

I am solely pointing this out:

Greene received a mental health evaluation and “complied with the medication recommendations,”

I saw that too and his daughter made a comment about him being ill, but I haven't seen anything that really explains it.

He was taken to a hospital last night when they caught him and so far no one (afaik) is saying why that was the first stop.

Well, there's really no need to get into it further. The question gets asked every time - this time we got the answer immediately. :peace:

With his record i would assume it was not legal for him to have, although i am not sure of the laws in iowa and iirc it may have beed a shotgun.

during a press briefing they said that he claimed to be having a flare up of some medical condition during the arrest.

Oh, he's alive?? No surprise. Let me guess? Mental illness too?

R.I.P. to the officer's who lost their lives. Prayers to their family, friends and coworkers.
