Zachary Paul Koehn, 28, had been scheduled to go before a jury on murder and child endangerment charges in January in Chickasaw County District Court in New Hampton. But on Tuesday, defense attorney Steven Drahozal submitted a motion to move the trial to March.

As part of the motion, Koehn waived his right a trial within 90 days of indictment.

A new trial date hasn’t been set.

Of course he waived his right to a speedy trial. He knows he'll be found guilty. And her trial will probaby be moved too. I could puke. Poor baby Sterling. Didn't live long enough to see his first Christmas.

The above is from the court web site, so I'm guessing that March 20th is ONLY a "Pretrial Hearing" or "Order for Continuance Hearing" and the trial is March 28th as JerseyGirl stated above.

Harris’ trial date was initially set for Jan. 31. Her lawyer has requested that her trial date get pushed back so they can have more time to prepare. A new trial date will be selected later this month at a hearing.

Trial delayed for Cheyanne Harris came at the request of her lawyer, who wanted more time to prepare the defense case. The trial had been scheduled to begin Wednesday.

The judge set a new trial starting date of June 11 in New Hampton.
