Found Deceased IA - Vincent Harvey, 24, Parks Marina, Dickinson County, 24 August 2019

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says on Facebook that 24-year old Vincent Harvey went missing Saturday night around 11:30 p.m.

He was last seen near the docks at Parks Marina.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office along with the Spirit Lake Fire Department and Arnolds Park/Okoboji Underwater Search and Rescue Dive Team are actively searching

Fire and underwater rescue teams spent all of Sunday looking for him.

They are asking anyone who might know of his whereabouts to contact the Dickinson County Communications Center at (712) 336-2525.

The sheriff’s office is working with the Spirit Lake Fire Department and the Arnolds Park/Okoboji Underwater Search and Rescue Dive Team searching both land and water around the area.

Harvey was last seen. Harvey is a 2014 graduate of St. Edmond high school in Fort Dodge and played football and wrestled for Iowa Central Community College before graduating in 2016.

For those not familiar with Okoboji it's a very popular summer tourist lake. Many families go there, but it's also known for lots of partying.
I've seen so many cases of guys getting drunk and going missing near a body of water.
I hope there's a different outcome for Vincent and he's found safe.

UPDATE: Authorities find body of man reported missing in Okoboji area

Deputies found the body of 24-year-old Vincent Harvey late Monday night, according to the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office.

Harvey's body was found about 45 yards offshore near the Parks Marina. Crews were able to recover the body and confirm its identity.
