Is this a joke? Research voter fraud. How about look into all the fraud on the other side? People in FL who are registered in NY or NJ and vote in both states. That is just for a start. Dead people voting. Why is this even on WS? And we have ONLY voting by mail here in Oregon. Isn't that convenient for the people in power? Get your head out of the sand. I have a ballot sitting here from my son who is in college and left 3 years ago. He still gets a ballot here at our address. Will I fill it out and vote in his name? NO. I follow the law. And I wish we went back to having to vote in person, show ID and verify we are US citizens. How difficult is that? Sorry to sound rude. This stuff makes my blood boil.
Not everyone can show up in person, and for some, it's harder than you think, to get an i.d. For people like me, who have lived in the same town all of my life, on much the same road, I'm asked for an i.d., even though most know me at the voting station, and that's the case for many in larger cities or sparsely populated areas, where folks don't know them. Voting is a right, not a privilege, and just b/c a handful of people like this poor woman, which make up less than .00000013 percent of the votes cast, and from 2002-2005, resulted in 26 convictions or guilty pleas, of the 40 voters that were indicted for voter fraud, out of 197 million votes cast for federal candidates between those years, doesn't mean we have a widespread problem. Most people don't enjoy standing in line to vote ONE time. It may happen but it's rare and it's not election changing, as one candidate has obviously made this poor woman believe (to her detriment).
