The visit comes after the FBI was granted access to the house in October to gather additional evidence and take precise measurements of each room for 3D modeling that can be presented to the jury.

The property was given to the university in early 2023 and the intention was always to demolish it.

'While we appreciate the emotional connection some family members of the victims may have to this house, it is time for its removal and to allow the collective healing of our community to continue,' President Scott Green said in announcing the demolition.

Criminal Defense Attorney Jack Rice claimed Kohberger's defense team could claim that the off-campus property where the murders took place was a wild party house where plenty of students would go.

MOSCOW, ID. — A judge in Moscow has denied two motions from suspected Moscow killer Bryan Kohberger to dismiss the charges against him.

Kohberger's defense team wanted the grand jury indictment dismissed, saying the jurors were given improper instructions about the level of probable cause needed to indict him.

Kohberger claimed that the standard of proof for a grand jury to return an indictment was "beyond a reasonable doubt," arguing for the dismissal of the indictment. The State then argued that "probable cause" for an indictment is settled in Idaho, saying there is no dispute that the standard applied by the grand jury to justify the indictment was "probable cause."

MOSCOW, Idaho (Court TV) — A petition seeking to save the house where four University of Idaho students were brutally murdered appears to have support from one victim’s mother.

A petition was posted on Change.org seeking to “halt the demolition of the King Road house until after trial,” in the wake of an announcement by the University of Idaho that demolition would begin on Dec. 28.

The house on King Road was the site where Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves and Ethan Chapin were stabbed to death on Nov. 13, 2022. Bryan Kohberger has been charged with their murders and faces a potential death sentence if convicted.

The four victims were students at the University of Idaho, which purchased the off-campus property in the wake of the murders. The school initially announced plans to tear the house down in February, before delaying plans because of the trial’s anticipated start date.

On Thursday, the university said that Kohberger’s defense team was visiting the site twice more before the demolition’s scheduled start.

The home where four University of Idaho students were murdered 13 months ago, is coming down.Demolition was slated for 7, crews got started early.

You can see the memorial of stuffed animals, pictures, and candles still remain in front of where the home once stood, more than a year later, as another truckload leaves King st.

The University wanted to tear down this home while students were away on winter break. You can see the strategy behind that decision; even for 9 am, campus is extraordinarily quiet while students are back home.
