A judge has granted Bryan Kohberger's defense team access to the training records of three police officers involved in the investigation of the murders of four University of Idaho students. [..]

Kohberger's attorney, public defender Anne Taylor, petitioned the judge for Kohberger's cellphone location data and a forensic analyst's determination about the suspect's vehicle during the June 27 hearing.

The judge set a July 14 deadline for the FBI records to be turned over, the Idaho Statesmanreported.

The man charged with killing four University of Idaho students spent much of his teen and adult life consumed by a rare neurological disorder known as visual snow syndrome.

“He would talk about it, like, all the time,” Thomas Arntz, a former friend of Koberger’s in high school, told the Idaho Statesman in a phone interview. “The word that comes to mind is that he was neurotic about it, and talked about it relentlessly. I guess it truly bothered him to no end.”

Learning of the condition through Bryan Kohberger was the first time many people following the case had heard of the little-known condition. Even experts say they have a lot to learn.

What is visual snow?​

Visual snow syndrome is a relatively recently observed condition that is believed to have been first described in 1995. It wasn’t officially given a name until a 2015 study.

MOSCOW, Idaho — The family of one of the Moscow murder victims is encouraging everyone to remember their daughter, sister and friend by doing something spontaneous.

In honor of what would have been Xana Kernodle's 21st birthday, "Xanapalooza" encourages people to step outside their comfort zone and be adventurous.

Xana was one of four University of Idaho students killed last November.

To commemorate her 21st birthday, Xana's sister marked July 5, 2023 as "Xanapalooza."

Pappa Rodgers' post attracted the suspicion of Jennifer Coffindaffer, a former FBI agent, who on Friday shared it on Twitter. She tweeted: "I have followed #papparodger comments with intrigue. This comment was of particular interest after the release of the PCA. The comments just seem to hit home..."

In response to another Twitter user, who asked whether the killer would have left "a digital trail that incriminating," Coffindaffer wrote: "He drove his own car, carried his phone, and didn't Clip in his sheath tight enough, so I do believe he could leave a digital trail. MOSCOW, Idaho - Seeking the death penalty rather than life imprisonment for Idaho student murders suspect Bryan Kohberger could cost taxpayers an additional $1 million if he is convicted, according to a new report.

Latah County Prosecuting Attorney Bill Thompson notified the court and the defense on June 26 that his office intended to seek death if Kohberger is convicted in the November 2022 slayings of four University of Idaho students.
