The Latah County Jail is an adult male and female holding facility that was built in 1972. The jail is designed to hold adults being charged with a crime while awaiting trial, and those adults sentenced to local jail time or awaiting transport to the Idaho Department of Corrections. We also hold for other forms of due process. We house adult prisoners for the Idaho State Police, Moscow Police Department, United States Marshals Service, Bureau of Prisons, Idaho Department of Corrections, other various counties and our own agency. The jail has a maximum holding capacity of 42 individuals.

The jail is staffed by 1 Lieutenant, 1 Sergeant, 2 Corporals and 8 Deputies working 2 different shifts. The jail admits new bookings and releases inmates twenty four hours a day. The Jail Staff dispenses medication, feeds inmates, delivers and receives individuals from court and transports inmates to different agencies. They also provide housed inmates access to the library, recreation yard, attorneys, clergy, and special programs. Security checks, as well as inmates needing work/ school / treatment release are also done throughout the entire day.

Bryan Kohberger’s two sisters were fired from their jobs over their familial relationship with their alleged killer brother, according to a report.

Melissa and Amanda Kohberger were canned in the months after their brother’s arrest for the quadruple slayings of four University of Idaho students last year, NewsNation reported.

“Both of Kohberger’s parents are retired and I’m told the family is in very, very bad shape financially right now especially because the sisters are now unemployed,” anchor Dan Abrams said Monday.

“We know that even his sister’s just being related to Kohberger has really taken a toll on their livelihood.”

The sisters were fired despite never being implicated in the crime.

(NewsNation) — An ID connected to someone from the quadruple homicide in Moscow, Idaho, was found during one the searches of Bryan Kohberger’s residences, NewsNation has exclusively learned.

Police also believe they have evidence connecting Kohberger to alleged cyberstalking of someone from the Moscow residence where four University of Idaho students were killed in November.

Police arrested Kohberger in Pennsylvania at his parents’ home roughly six weeks after the fatal stabbings. Court documents have revealed police used DNA evidence left on a knife sheath at the scene to link him to the crime.
