In a Facebook post from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, they said, "Elintra Dee Fischer, now 18, was reported missing January 1, 2023. Elintra is the sister of Allen and Rachael and has not been located at this time. It is believed that the children willingly left to return to Trenton, Utah due to religious beliefs."

The two teens may be with their adult sibling. They may also be in a grey Honda sedan with Utah plates.

Roundy, a former FLDS member, reportedly told law enforcement she believes her children were taken in response to recent, alarming statements made by imprisoned FLDS leader Warren Jeffs. Jeffs, who is serving a life sentence in Texas for child sexual assault, has reportedly claimed recent "revelations" directing that FLDS children must die to be resurrected as "pure beings."

Holding Out HELP, a Utah-based non-profit helping people escape polygamous backgrounds, says that Jeffs and other FLDS church leaders have instructed followers to retrieve their children by "any means necessary" and prepare them for an impending "end of times." FLDS children are reportedly intended to "gather" to assist in building Zion, where they will then "die and become 'pure' and 'translated beings.'"

Holding out HELP, an organization dedicated to helping survivors of polygamy, believes the children may have been abducted as part of a revelation to members of the FLDS faith to prepare for the end of times by returning their children to the church in order to become “pure” and “translated beings.”

“The revelations say that within five years, the children will be translated to heaven. But the problem is… you have to die first,” Roger Hoole, an attorney involved in multiple FLDS cases, said.

“Somebody stopped by and took them,” the children’s mother, Elizabeth Roundy, told ABC4.

Roundy left the FLDS church just over five years ago. Now she believes her children were taken by older siblings, who are still active members of the faith, to fulfill a prophecy given by President of the church, Warren Jeffs

“They [were] willing to go because they think that it’s their salvation,” Roundy told ABC4.

The children’s mother alleges that her children were abducted following a revelation claimed to have been received by Warren Jeffs, the President of the FLDS Church, in August of 2022. The revelation speaks of a time when its followers will “prepare themselves and their children to either be translated or Celestial[y] resurrected.”

It’s interesting that the mother left the sect 5 years ago, but the children still seem to be dressed very modestly and traditionally. For those who know, is this typical of former FLDS families? I assume if they’ve gone back to the sect anyway they’ll now be dressing like this, so the photos are helpful, but it did surprise me.

The clothing choices are related to their beliefs about modesty. The night the kids went missing, mom was at a Bible study, so it seems they left the formal church but continue to maintain their faith. Also, their mom said they probably went willingly, as they believe that's their only route for salvation. Therefore it's likely they chose to continue dressing modestly.

Idaho State police have released additional information regarding an Amber Alert and two juveniles missing from their mother's residence, in Monteview.

Rachelle Fischer, 15, and Allen Fisher, 13, were last seen at 7 p.m. Sunday, and "may be headed to a FLDS Group in Mendon, UT," an initial Idaho State Policenews release said. FLDS stands for Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

“My children asked if they could go down to the shop to get on the Internet… so they could watch videos while I went to the class,” Roundy told EastIdahoNews.com. “I allowed them to do it, and that wasn’t very smart of me. I let them go down there, and when I came back to get them, they were gone. Somebody came by the shop and hauled off with them.”

Roundy said she believes the abduction was carried out by members of the cult-like group, including her older daughter, 18-year-old Elintra Dee Fischer, who vanished under similar circumstances in 2023 and has not been heard from since.

She also suspects the children’s father, Nephi Fischer, may be involved, she told EastIdahoNews.com.

After relocating to Idaho, she spent 18 months in a custody battle with her ex-husband. In 2021, she was granted full custody of their three children. Since then, Roundy claims Fischer has repeatedly attempted to regain custody.

“I believe they were watching and waiting for the right moment,” she said. “I’ve seen their vehicles driving by, even past the shop where the kids disappeared Friday night.”

"I used to be a part of the FLDS church," said Roundy. "But I had been sent away to repent. When I decided to come back and get my children, who had been left in the church with other people, then they [the FLDS church] automatically banned me as an apostate."

Roundy says when someone is labeled as an apostate, the FLDS church tells its members to cease any contact with that person. For Roundy, this meant they tried to keep her kids away from her, even after a court order gave her sole custody.

"And that's part of what's been going on with my children," said Roundy. "Their father's been trying to get them away from me because I left the FLDS church, and he believes I'm an apostate."

"There are some revelations out... that talk about [children] becoming translated beings," said Tonia Tewell, the executive director for the non-profit Holding out HELP. "But it says they [the children] must die first and then they'll be risen like Jesus Christ in two-and-a-half, three days."

"It's a five year revelation, and we're three years into it," said Tewell. "And so I think she [Roundy] is worried that her kids lives may be taken at the end of the day."
