His vehicle, a silver Honda Civic, was found on Bogus Basin Road. On Monday, Boise Police released a new photo of Kelsay, to help spread the word.

Wife of missing Boise man thinks his disappearance is tied to pandemic, uncertain times
RSBBM
BOISE, Idaho — Jackie Kelsay is the wife of Curtis "Greg" Kelsay, who has been missing for nearly two weeks and said she believes the coronavirus pandemic and the uncertainty that it has created drove him to disappear on one April evening.

"He left his wallet with his driver's license, cards, money, he left his phone," she said. "I believe he took a headlamp so that tells me he left when it was dark and I believe he may have had poles, walking poles. One would be red, and one would be blue."

Greg's car was found the next at the Dry Creek trailhead on Bogus Basin Road. That afternoon there was a search party looking for him made up of police, family, friends, dogs, and a drone. That was more than ten days ago and still no sign of Greg has been found.

"I think he knew what he was doing, I think he planned it, I think it was purposeful, I think he felt he had no other choices," Kelsay said. "He left a note."

For a man that loved his family so much, KTVB asked Jackie why she thinks her husband would not want to be found.

"He was not in his right mind, he had not been sleeping, and that was causing some stress and anxiety and probably depression," she said.

Jackie said Greg had been feeling that way since mid-March.

"The pandemic, the stock market crashing, we have rentals, people might lose their job and wouldn't be able to pay their rent," she said

I truly feel for his wife. The note likely indicates plans for self harm, but not finding him at all has to be heartbreaking.

Older case. Still no info about being located, but I did see this December 2020 tribute to Greg:

Greg moved to Boise in 1981, after graduating from Iowa State University with an engineering degree. Working for HP and living in Boise offered many opportunities to grow in both his work and play. Early on, Greg met Wendell Martin at HP (Wendell was also an ISU graduate). Greg and Wendell shared a passion for music and adventure. They both played saxophones in the HP big jazz band, Boise Straight Ahead. They used their lunch hours to run and to plan the next adventure. These included sailing, hiking, backpacking, trekking in Nepal, mountain biking, skiing into backcountry yurts, downhill skiing with the Prime Timers and BBSC trips to Utah, Grand Targhee, and most recently St. Moritz, Switzerland. While Greg was kind of a quiet guy, he made friends easily and shared his many adventures and his life with a wide circle of friends. If you were next to Greg on a ski lift or on a trail, you would have discovered his curious side—always asking questions, eager to learn new things, eager to share and to help, ready to try something new. Greg built and flew his own experimental plane, he was a skilled woodworker and builder, a man of many, many talents. In 2011, Greg met Jackie, the love of his life. They married in 2013 and shared many special adventures and a wonderful life together. On April 16, 2020, Greg disappeared into the Boise foothills, leaving no trace. It is likely that COVID-19 was just too much for him to handle. We honor Greg for the very special person he was, the time he spent with us, and we remember his gentle, caring spirit.
