It seems like grandpa is a key element to this case . Yet , he hasn't been seen or heard from that I know of ? How old is gramps ? It's admirable that the parents are not blaming anyone especially the person left in charge of 2 year old . But in reality wouldn't you be grilling him about the last time you actually saw deorr jr . Why isn't grandpa talking ?

There are just a few little things that I wonder about. If they wanted a fussy 2 yr old to take a nap, why give him a chocolate bar right before that? And what were the parents doing when they were about 50 feet away from the camp, when the boy went missing? Why wouldn't they have put him down for his nap and waited for him to sleep first? Why leave a fussy, tired baby with a great grandparent, who apparently didn't realize he was the one watching the baby?

I also wonder about any other campers nearby. Nothing has been mentioned about them, if there were any even.

Also, I think Deorr has two older siblings. Were they at the camp site?

"The boy's parents said that as soon as they realized that he was missing, they searched far and wide for him for 20 minutes before calling the police."

bbm

I don't know why 1 hour was reported.
There was an article I quoted further back that said they called 911 at 2:35 and that Deorr had been missing for an hour. I'm thinking maybe the parents hadn't seen little Deorr for about an hour. Maybe they left for their walk about 1:35. But then again in their interview one says they we're gone about 10 minutes and the other says about 50 (feet or yards).

I believe in the interview they made reference to it being close to 2 and his nap time. I have not been able to find anything that discusses the witness seeing the boy at the store around 6.

Also dad mentioned as soon as he noticed deorr missing he took off about a half mile down the road to look and make the call because he had one bar of service and didnt want to lose the signal in the middle of the call. Jessica reached 911 first.

IIRC grandma is the one quoted as saying grandpa turned away and deorr was gone. Dad is the one who said where is little deorr and grandpa said he thought we went after them. I'm not sure we have actually heard from grandpa have we?

The mysterious EMT bag ... is everyone sure that they heard correctly? Could it have been something else? It makes no sense to me. *baffled

I'm not able to watch the video right now, maybe later. At what minute is this said?
She definitely says emt bag, twice actually. I googled it, and they seem to be readily available on the Internet. It's generally red with professional emergency medical supplies.

Something I noticed was he said he went down the road to get service to call 911, but when he called his wife was already on the phone with them back at the camp.

If grandpa really said he thought the 2 yr old went after the parents and was with them--- ugh, I would be so angry if the person caring for my 2 yr old watched him disappear into the brush and assumed he came and found me.

we go camping a lot. My husband and I have the same service provider and same kind of phones but sometimes I will have service and he won't. And vice versa. So I understand why the dad might have needed to drive down the road to get more bars.

I definitely heard "EMT bag". I believe Mom is a nurse. Is that something a nurse would have? The EMT bag was something that was brought up in regards to rumors and setting the record straight.

I too am curious where the sibling were. It's clear from fb there are 3 children. A girl and two boys. Do the other two children have a different father maybe?

Regarding the child being fussy or having a meltdown at the store. I am curious if that is just typical tired fussy two year old behavior or if the child might have autism. I noticed a post on mom's fb where she posted or shared a post pertaining to autism awareness and it just made me curious. Someone asked why give a fussy tired child a candy bar and from my experience sometimes sugar/caffeine can have an opposite effect on kids with neurological differences (like my child with ADHD).

Me too .... But here's an interesting story albeit OT ... But kind of relevant to the great grandpa .

My grandparents grew up in central ID. My grandfather would tell me stories of his parents that made my hair stand on end . They would pack the kids up 5 of them . Take them to Lime Creek camping drop them off and for a week at a time. The older kids cared for the littles ranging in age from 13-2. This is not made up . It was a way of life . A lot of the older generation in ID did this . Idk what they were thinking .... Honestly it's a miracle they all survived .

They definitely asked about the EMT bag. It seems obvious it was mentioned in SM somewhere. Did nobody here see the comment about the EMT bag?

I wouldn't find it weird to have an EMT bag . Camping fishing hunting is the way of life in most of Idaho . The fact that they are creatin a fuss over it is why I'm curious about?

But nobody said they had one? All we know is "something" was said on SM about an EMT bag, but I've yet to hear what. Was an EMT bag found in the woods? Was there one with the camping gear that had been used? Were the contents of and EMT bag found but not the bag?

See what I did there? It could be very important.

Just watched video again. Dad said he saw some minnows in the creek that deorr would love and he came up from the creek to get him and yelled over to grandpa where is little Deorr and grandpa was shocked and said He came up to you.

He says it was just about 2 pm and close to nap time when they went to explore (for 10 minutes 50 yards away). Deorr was going to be good with grandpa by the fire.

It would be weird NOT to have an EMT Bag when out in the wilderness with family. I wonder if there was more to the question though. Was the EMT bag seen open and used recently , for example? Or was it just seen at the camp site.

OH....that is making me look sideways at them now. Because grandma originally said that grandpa was watching him, looked away, and suddenly the boy was gone.

But now grandpa said he went to his parents. How would he know the baby went to his parents if he looked up and he was gone?

Who assumes a 2 yr old found his parents when wandering around in the wilderness? ugh

Exactly ..... I wasn't assuming they had one all I said was it was weird that it was mentioned at all... Because it WOULDNT be weird to have one .

Do we have pics of the camp site?

Right and just to clarify --Dad said that's what grandpa said. So grandma said one thing and Dad said another. Let's hear from grandpa.

Or, had it disappeared from the campsite?

What's an EMT bag? Is it like a first aid kit?

My thoughts concerning the EMT bag, possibly they had one and it is no longer there, did Deorr disappear at the same time as the bag (or sadly inside the bag)?
