See, that's confusing, too. What SB says here. "From about 1 to when the call was made 45 minutes later." The 911 call was at 2:36, right?
The statement you quoted was made by Tricia, and it obviously was a mistake.

Yes, thank you, I had just noticed that too. So arriving back at camp at "about 1," and phone call made at about 2:36.

Arrived back at the campgrounds about 1. Set off on their walk around nap time, or close to 2:00 p.m. 911 call logged at 2:36 p.m.

Deorr has stated they didn't leave the campsite after 1:00 pm. I take that to mean they arrive back at the campsite from the store around 1:00 but that's just my thinking.

ETA - that is not just my thinking:

TG: Right! Okay! So, from about 1 pm, and this is…I’m not going to get very specific here because I know you can’t go into detail, but from 1 pm till about to when the phone call was made about 45 minutes later, um what you have to go on is what the parents, the great grandfather and the grandfather’s friend has… have said, right?

04:58
SB: That’s correct!

I've heard this interview a few times (a great one btw) and it has made me wonder every time why the sheriff wouldn't have wanted to go into detail about what the four people at the campsite told him happened between the family arriving back to the store and DeOrr vanishing. It seems like all that info should be totally benign if there are no inconsistencies and all has checked out to be legit. Just wondering...not to steal Wondering25's motto.

I assumed it was because the sheriff was obviously pressed for time, so Tricia didn't want to waste time on trivialities.

I am wondering Rayemonde where are you getting 15 min. from? Both parents say 10 mins. This is part of the problem with this case, there are so many variations, so I'm certainly not saying you are wrong, just wondering where 15 minutes is coming from?

Oh, sorry. On the recent news clip, the newsreader said the parents were gone for 20 minutes. And earlier the family had said that there was a time period of about 4 minutes that no one was watching DeOrr. So I figured that around 16 minutes after the parents left with IR, DeOrr vanished. So four minutes later the parents returned and said "Where's DeOrr?"

Incidentally, I was also dubious about whether DeOrr was ever at the store or whether he could have actually gone missing whilst his parents were at the store, but the Sheriff said that all four adults saw DeOrr at the campsite after the visit to the store, and seems unlikely that all four would be lying. Yes GGP might be mistaken, but IR should have known whether DeOrr was there or not, since he was apparrently awake and lucid enough to be catching fish and showing the parents his fishing spot. JMO.

Reposting a photo of the Stage Stop taken from a local's blog. http://livingthejuneauadventure.blogspot.com/2015/04/leadore-and-more-part-2.html

The store's sign advertises gas, gifts, groceries, beer, ice, sub sand, liquor, pizzas and burgers. The gas pump is just out of the photo on the cement slab.

Okay thanks, I just went back & re-listened + I'll got back & edit my previous post. The parents claim starting at the 9 minute mark they were goie for a total of 10 minutes. I do remember (but I have no link) that there was 4 minute minute period that nobody had eyes on DeOrr.

ETA - found it. ""They weren't up there very long when this all happened, and what they came down with is that it was 4 minutes that someone wasn't watching him," Kune said." http://www.ktvb.com/story/news/loca...andfather-believes-boy-was-abducted/30321903/

Too pressed for time to go into trivial details is one possibility. Although I am sorta thinking that what was happening, where everyone was, etc., leading up to DeOrr vanishing in the midst of the adults wouldn't be seen as trivial by LE, because they're still trying to figure out what happened to him. The interview didn't seem particularly rushed as there was time to go into details about social media and other things. Just my opinion.

So they leave to go to the store at 10:30/11 they get back to camp at around 1pm. IR tells them about fish he's been catching. They walk with IR to a fishing spot while little DeOrr stays with GGP. GGP last seen him by the embankment and assumes he wondered by his parents. Parents come back and realize DeOrr is missing and they start looking for him.
At 2:36 pm they call 911 because they can't find little DeOrr.....okay got it...wow it all makes sense...now where is little DeOrr? What happen to him?
Or do we need to loop around all over again to get to the main point of all this? What happen to DeOrr after ggp says he last seen him by the embankment? What kind of predator would take him at that point? What would be the most likely reason for a predator taking him at this time?
If no predator took him at this point then what direction would he most likely have wondered off to?

Respectfully, there is no need to be rude. Nobody knows what happened to Deorr and we are all here because we care, trying to piece everything together despite very little/conflicting info. But we are all here for Deorr.

Can't we just be nice to each other? We are on the same team.
Respectfully all this is, is trying to find a way to prove DeOrr was never at the campground. Which would then mean the parents are guilty. If the FBI and LE hasn't made an arrest at this point...then none of this will help find DeOrr.

Just the other day myself and another poster got ripped apart because we think a ml took him. We were practicality forced to stop because everybody threw a fit. But going around and around about times that actually check out is okay? Random digs about the family and the family friend are okay? No...they are not. Its wrong.

There is a difference between trying to find a lost little boy and trying to find a way to make it fit that the parents are lying because they had something to do with it. Its gotten to the point it is sad. And some people should be ashamed of them self's. And its gotten so old and sad I have no problem saying it.

I only have one child that's two and I could still easily spent 20 min in the store. Especially if you new you didn't wanna have to drive back later.

On a side note why hasn't anyone just called stage stop and ask if they serve. Food? I did. And YES they do serve food.

People on this thread called months ago and found out that they sold food, including fries (jo-jos). There was a huge discussion about. But that was a smart move on your part as well. Nice work!

<modsnip> Why all this mystery on if stage stop serves food?

 • #77
No. What happened was other posters questioned the ml theory and two posters were very rude and dismissive of others.

I left this thread a month ago because of the rudeness and snark.

I see it was a mistake to return. My bad.
No...we answered questions. There was an actual factual answer for every question about why a ml couldn't of possibly done it. Along with links. Nothing was ever made up. There was no speculation. They were facts that people didn't want to hear because it didn't involve a negative light on the parents.

Can you post a link stating there was a question about the stage stop serving food? I have seen no one question that? Only the type of food service available.

Thank you in advance!

Okay :)

Agree to disagree.

Despite the fervor of our postings, the attention to minute details, and the various theories that people have married.. NO ONE on this thread is going to find Deorr. This is a site to kick around ideas and theories and maybe in the end, should there be a resolution in this case, someone will have been correct. But, NO ONE HERE is going to find the baby and we will be lucky if LE figures it out. JMO

Anything i write is just my opinion.
