Despite the fervor of our postings, the attention to minute details, and the various theories that people have married.. NO ONE on this thread is going to find Deorr. This is a site to kick around ideas and theories and maybe in the end, should there be a resolution in this case, someone will have been correct. But, NO ONE HERE is going to find the baby and we will be lucky if LE figures it out. JMO

Anything i write is just my opinion.
<bbm>

We've been of help in other cases, so maybe some of the ideas we toss around here in a think tank can help LE figure it out.

No...we answered questions. There was an actual factual answer for every question about why a ml couldn't of possibly done it. Along with links. Nothing was ever made up. There was no speculation. They were facts that people didn't want to hear because it didn't involve a negative light on the parents.

I believe that is a generalization, and probably a false one, that we refuse to acknowledge facts that aren't in line with blaming the parents. I don't know, I can only speak for myself. Honestly, I want to rule the POI's out completely. We are searching for reasons and talking timelines and interviews which are factual and bouncing ideas off one another. I don't think anyone is out to get the parents. We're just trying to make sense of the story where things don't seem to add up.

IMO.

I think that discussing the timeline and determining who was where and for how long and other details does not necessarily implicate the parents - it may suggest human involvement but there are other POIs besides the parents, and there is also the possibility of an unknown abductor as well. Just because the theory doesn't involve an animal or mother nature doesn't mean that it has to involve the parents. It would be nice to be able to discuss things without being accused of accusing the parents. And having suspicious thoughts inside your head does not a shameful person make. MOO.

Whatever side of the fence you are on in this case, keep the snark out of your post, post respectfully towards each other or else. Y'all know what "or else" means.

I'm so confused. How does trying to make it so that DeOrr was never at campsite after getting back from the store....is not saying the parents are lying?

For anyone interested there are some photos of the inside of the Stage Stop here. I believe they were taken in 2012.

Wow. Looks pretty small.

We have stores like that in TX/LA on the highways, but usually they are rather large. With a big souvenir shop, large restrooms, convenience store area, and some type of fast food chain (Subway, Arby's) on one end.

That is what I had pictured, but this place is very small. Perhaps the 30 mins was waiting for the fries?

When I saw the front, I thought wow, bigger than I expected.

But the inside says otherwise! It seems to mainly be an elongated room all the way across? Very narrow. Just a few customers there at the same time would likely bump into one another, both literally and figuratively!

I would agree with you on that line of thinking - it would fall outside the TOS.

For me personally, I don't have any idea what happened to Deorr Jr. I just wish he'd be found. I don't think anyone wants to think the parents are involved, but when a child vanishes without a trace, it's human nature for the mind to wander and to try to find answers.... this case is especially puzzling. I for one would find great peace if Deorr was found and it was determined that he died of natural causes (not saying he is deceased, but if there was no human involvement, I don't see any other outcome at this point..). It's sad no matter what. :-( MOO.

After seeing these photos of the inside of the store, I find it impossible that no one saw him in the store. It would be impossible to not see him.

Wow. That was startling. Driving in my area, I saw the Missing Deorr billboard for the first time. :(

Maybe I'm not that observant, but if someone asked me if I'd seen a child in a particular small quick stop, I could be hard pressed to remember specifically. I don't really focus on the people around me in a situation like that. If the child had been unruly or annoying, maybe I'd remember, or maybe not. It would depend on what I was doing in the store, how long I was there and how long before I was asked. So, I could have "seen" the child, but not have registered a strong enough recollection to say for sure. JMO

I am personally open to an abduction theory, by human or mountain lion... and to other theories as well, especially considering the lack of evidence that has been presented to us. What I do not understand are those who have a problem with posters here discussing the possibility of a mountain lion theory and choosing to consider it as a possibility. And all I can say to those who don't want it to continue, is that the close mindedness to that possibility and all the nay-saying towards that theory, is what keeps that particular discussion going.

The fact remains that regardless of whoever does or doesn't agree with it, it's as possible a theory as any with the information and evidence that we have at this point, IMO. I know, I know... there is that retired man who stated he thinks that theory should be discounted, and I respect his opinion to the degree it deserves respect. But that man nor anyone else is all knowing. He and all the others are only human and they all make mistakes and are often wrong. :twocents:

I can imagine a busy, distracted clerk talking to people on the other side of the counter and not seeing a child standing on the floor out of sight. I'm not saying it happened that way. I have no idea. But I can imagine DeOrr being in the store and people interacting with his parents and not remembering him being there. I tend to be cautious about accepting as absolutely certain what people say they remember seeing or not seeing. His Mom says he was there. But it's also possible he wasn't there. We just don't know for sure IMO.

"We don't know for sure" was my point. I have only lived in fairly populus, metro areas for the most part. So the idea of being in a place where no one could later id me or find me on video is weird.

But having friends who live in the waaaay-outs of ID and MT, I get how people might move about unrecorded. Which is kind of nice until you are trying to find a missing baby.

I think we're all getting a bit frustrated by going around and around and around.....
