BBM Perhaps she read the time when she finished speaking with the 911 operator and not when she placed the call. moo

I'd think the time of the phone call would be written in stone. Even if JM somehow got confused or mixed up, wouldn't the 911 system have it listed? I feel like I'm missing something ...

They believe it's one of two scenarios, yet they say they know how but not why and they don't know if DeOrr is still on the mountain or was removed from the mountain. Well dang! They know NOTHING! They should be embarrassed to even report that stuff.

<modsnip>KIC state that they know how the event happened but not why it happened. DeOrr Jr might still be on the mountain, he might not be. Like many investigations, the answers don't all appear at once in a nice orderly list - they take time to fathom out. Personally I have no idea what to believe any more :gaah:

It has to involve at least 1 of the 4, they just won't state it explicitly until more progress has been made IMO.

Isn't he also hinting at an impending arrest when he says the prosecutors are working on their part of the case?

[...]

When Klein posted the news release to his Facebook page over the weekend it garnered more than 100 shares and more than 200 comments. The case has been plagued by Internet trolls and wild accusations flung at the family and investigators over social media, including one rumor that someone in the Kunz family would be arrested within the next week. Klein quickly quelled the rumor, saying he did not believe there would be an arrest this week.

[...]

“The comments being made do not help anything … Their comments are conjecture,” Klein Investigations said. “Again, if you wish to attack anyone, or anything, including our firm that is your right. As we have tried to say clearly we are not going to say anything that could hurt the prosecutorial end of this case.”

But going by the early statements was Deorr ever alone with anyone? If so, with enough time to disappear him on their own with none of the other 3 noticing something?

1 person being responsible just doesn't fit.....does it?

I read that too Bessie and couldn't help but think it ironic that the press release was communicated via Facebook - a form of social media plagued by internet trolls. Especially when KIC could have published it via their own website, a newspaper etc. 100 shares & 200 comments means the release would be working its way around the internet / social media, in some cases helped along by the trolls, the very thing KIC seemed unhappy about!

Klein: What I’d say to the folks out there in the social media world is that we realize this is a very emotional case. You look at that little boys face and I’m not gonna tell you that there have not been some tears shed by some very seasoned investigators both male and female.

I would probably send this message: stop the conjecture, stop the rumors, be good citizens, ask your questions and we’ll answer as we can on social media. We don’t just sit there on social media watching.

[...]

So take a step back, take a breath and realize before you hit the button that posts it for the world to see, that you think about your words and re-read your words because words mean things and it hurts sometimes.

[...]

All the rumors that we’re going to leave this case are absolutely just debunked. All of these rumors that there’s going to arrests this weekend or the next few days is just debunked.

I don't believe the trolls have helped in any way. Klein did say this about SM, in general, though.

"If we have something to say pretty much everybody will be there to be able to hear it. If you know something, say something. We’ve had some excellent tips on social media and I mean some really good ones. We’re really proud of the social media crowd."

"We’re asking everybody just to take a breath and take a step back."

WOW. That article is very telling. In my opinion IR is the the reluctant witness that has not come forward. He may be fearful of retaliation.

I agree.

"At least 1 of the 4" was the words used by another poster, who was probably referring to how KIC has narrowed it down to the 4 individuals at the campsite.

IMO The way Klein speaks and writes brings on speculation, which in turn, starts rumors. He drops little hints, like in a movie or a book, when they give you a glimmer of what is yet to come.

I really wish social media (Facebook) would be separated from a discussion forum (Websleuths) when LE/KIC/Whoever complain about trolls.

I'm fed up of being put into the same basket as BSG and few mates.

not to me. IMO, IF one person was involved I would think the other three would have cracked by now.

?????....... is it because of his criminal background?

Not necessarily. Prosecutors will open an investigation when there is apparent evidence of a crime pointing to a suspect. Sometimes that evidence doesn't pan out.

 • #436
It could be possible that only one person did this but that would mean that two or more people are covering for whoever did it, if only one person is involved.

Of course, IIRC, the only meaningful thing IR said during his "interview" with Nate was when he asked what Great Grandpa had told them. So IMO, if there is any credence at all to these "witnesses", I would say it was Great Grandpa who came forward with something and it's IR who NOW needs to come forward. According to Klein, IR has NOT cooperated with him as they have NOT been able to speak to him because he lawyered up.

IMO it all sounds like grandstanding and that's a real shame/sham!
