Of course, IIRC, the only meaningful thing IR said during his "interview" with Nate was when he asked what Great Grandpa had told them. So IMO, if there is any credence at all to these "witnesses", I would say it was Great Grandpa who came forward with something and it's IR who NOW needs to come forward. According to Klein, IR has NOT cooperated with him as they have NOT been able to speak to him because he lawyered up.
If anyone has been involved in the criminal justice system they learn really quickly you better lawyer up as fast as possible with the best lawyer you can afford. Guilty or innocent!

Klein also stated IR said he would speak to them with his attorney present (they went to IR's house to talk to him and didn't know at the time he had an attorney) and then the attorney put the kibosh on the interview.

Re: IR

He was willing to meet with KIC but his lawyer advised against it/stopped it.

He fully cooperated with LE. If he didn't wouldn't they have said so and also tried to put pressure on him?

@CoverMeCagney Backward Speech Guy. IMO 99% of the troll complaints right there.

Well, I have been and I agree to a point. In a case where a POI believes he/she "might" be looked at as a responsible party, then yes, absolutely.

Klein actually said he didn't know IR had lawyered up? That's laughable.

I don't believe we know to what degree he cooperated with LE. We know he went with SB up on the mountain and SB said he believed IR was being truthful (paraphrasing).

I think IR is the witness they are talking about that is/was afraid to come foward.

At this point SB stating publicly he's been truthful is good enough for me (along with the early statements) to eliminate him as a sole perp.

I do believe it possible he has some good knowledge, though.

DeOrr investigator: I think we know ‘how,’ we’re just trying to figure out ‘why’
National 0 Updated at 4:12 pm, January 18th, 2016 By: Nate Eaton, EastIdahoNews.com

I find it very interesting that one of the pictures in this article is a (much) younger looking Deorr strapped into a car seat along with the title "I think we know 'how', we're just trying to figure out 'why'. The picture I assume chosen by Nate. It has been suggested as a possibility by many that maybe Deorr fell asleep on the way back from the store and perhaps he was left to nap with his hoody sweatshirt jacket on. According to Deorr Sr.'s father who wasn't there at the campground but told People Mag. the blanket little Deorr took everywhere was found in the truck. To me it is curious, the chosen picture coupled with the headline.

Yes he did say that. I don't think it's laughable, IR was probably one of the first people they tried to interview. I only remember reading that IR had a lawyer in an interview with PI Vilt on an obscure site prior to Klein being involved.

It's definitely not IR. Read the articles upthread that were posted today.

What I'm not clear about is in the title of this interview..."I think we know HOW"....What does THAT mean? How what? How he vanished specifically or how he vanished in general?

I don't know what the how is, but I think the why could be "Why cover up an accident?.

Question: How can either scenario 1 or scenario 2 happen without at least 1 of the 4 being involved bearing in mind animals & random abductors have been ruled out (by KIC)?

I'm not saying any of these happened, but they would fit with the statement:
a) Deorr was wandering around the campsite and ingested something toxic (mushrooms, berries, antifreeze, drugs, alcohol, etc.) and succumbed.
b) Deorr was playing around the campfire and tripped over a rock and fell in and was burned.
c) Deorr crawled under a vehicle, unnoticed, and someone moved the vehicle and ran over him.

There are other possibilities, but these are a beginning. I know that we all wonder why whoever found him wouldn't just tell LE what happened, but I think that is what the investigators and LE are trying to find out. We have all heard of people who have constructed "stories" to tell LE because they were afraid of the consequences of telling the truth (or to protect someone). jmho

I personally was a bit skeptical when Klein came onboard because I feared that it could interfere and didn't see how a PI working on behalf of the family of three of four POI's could be objective. With more information, I can say I was wrong. The people who wanted him hired for the family were right about him and his crack team. And the fact that Klein is on the same page as LE is great.

It sounds like he has bolstered LE's investigation and it is on a speedier path to resolution.

I know some people doubted LE (I never did) and now an independent party has come in and agrees and some are still doubting.

I am thinking that LE/FBI/PI have more insight and evidence than we do. And there are reasons that only two scenarios were not ruled out...because there is evidence to rule them in, such as behavioral evidence (such as lying) that might indicate a cover up or forensic evidence. (And having evidence like that might automatically rule out the scenarios that were ruled out.

The guy is basically working for free. And it seems that he is working for little DeOrr and no one else.

And this is really interesting from the written article from the interview with Klein just posted: (I missed it in watching)

"We are also concerned with other information from folks that have come forward regarding (auxiliary) issues up on the mountain that day.

What we are going to do is totally focus on those witnesses and those leads and we still have, I’d say, five maybe six really good active leads still working."

Wow.......

Saw that too and it made me curious. What would be some examples of "auxiliary issues" or what would those encompass?

I cant imagine anyone not owning up to a genuine accident after all this scrutiny by now.
