Saw that too and it made me curious. What would be some examples of "auxiliary issues" or what would those encompass?

One issue that springs to mind is the EMT bag.

At this point SB stating publicly he's been truthful is good enough for me (along with the early statements) to eliminate him as a sole perp.

I do believe it possible he has some good knowledge, though.

What early statements? The statements SB made about IR WERE the early ones and the only ones I am aware of.

I find it very interesting that one of the pictures in this article is a (much) younger looking Deorr strapped into a car seat along with the title "I think we know 'how', we're just trying to figure out 'why'. The picture I assume chosen by Nate. It has been suggested as a possibility by many that maybe Deorr fell asleep on the way back from the store and perhaps he was left to nap with his hoody sweatshirt jacket on. According to Deorr Sr.'s father who wasn't there at the campground but told People Mag. the blanket little Deorr took everywhere was found in the truck. To me it is curious, the chosen picture coupled with the headline.

I like the way you think . . .(about the picture of Deorr.) In that sense, the "warning" label is interesting. Now, has anyone here read that there was such a car seat in the truck for little Deorr to sit in on the way to the mountain?

Can LE "force" Issac to be interviewed?

I'm not saying any of these happened, but they would fit with the statement:
a) Deorr was wandering around the campsite and ingested something toxic (mushrooms, berries, antifreeze, drugs, alcohol, etc.) and succumbed.
b) Deorr was playing around the campfire and tripped over a rock and fell in and was burned.
c) Deorr crawled under a vehicle, unnoticed, and someone moved the vehicle and ran over him.

There are other possibilities, but these are a beginning.

Do we *know* that there was a campfire?

I cant imagine anyone not owning up to a genuine accident after all this scrutiny by now.
IMO possibly something happened out of pure negligence and knew there would be criminal charges.

Beat me to it Truth ... first thing to cross my mind too but somewhere wasn't it supposed to have been the next day it went missing?

It's in one of the previous threads here, but Vernal's truck had the little fold down jump seats in the back and they aren't approved for car seat use. Deorr's car seat would be rear-facing in the center of front seat of the truck. As to your question, we don't know if he had a car seat available. It's not be discussed on MSM.

It is an adorable picture of Deorr. So sad.

Wanted to weigh in with some thoughts that are purely my own opinion ; I checked in with this case and then moved on to some other cases , since the ideas I had about what may have happened to DeOrr always kept coming back to the people who were with him last.
And iirc, the sheriff stated the family was "solid", as in he believed they were telling the whole truth.
But now it looks as if they may not have told everything exactly as it happened.

Since it's looking as if he is gone , my opinion for NOT telling the truth is that he might have ingested some illegal substance or something happened that would indicate abuse or at least neglect.

Possibly worse than neglect because why not just say, "..he was asleep in the vehicle and died from heatstroke..." or, "... we backed the car over him by accident..." , or, "...we were drinking and lost track of him..." ???
None of those options are going to put a person behind bars, afaik.

Was it possible someone 'snapped' and hit him, and DeOrr fell over and died ?
Again, I haven't been following this case for a bit because I understood the sheriff to say the people with DeOrr were all cleared.
MOO

I'll go back and read some of the previous posts -- thanks to everyone who has contributed and kept this case up to date.
Mostly I'd like for DeOrr to get the justice that he's due ; the same for any innocent little one who may be the victim of foul play.

I think it's an important point. If he didn't have a car seat, I can certainly imagine driving up there in the dark . . . slamming on the breaks . . and . . . (fill in the blanks) . Or, if he DID have a car seat, was it still in the car when LE got there? Or, did he die in the car seat and it was disposed of, either in the 1 1/2 hours it took for LE to get there, or sometime even Thursday night or earlier on Friday?

(I would love to know if anyone SAW little Deorr at the store during the Jojos and feminine products run. Or, did they just HEAR about him . .. )

I have a hard time believing DeOrr (if deceased) died because he was left in the truck sleeping, and instead of calling 911, the parents chose to just get rid of his body. IMHO, (if deceased) something much more sinister took place.

But LE and Klein are saying the dogs picked up NO scent........This is all so bizarre.

No. Now his attorney may offer an interview for a deal where nothing he says can be used against him, but I don't see that happening.

Do we KNOW if the scent and cadaver dogs were taken to the vehicles and let inside them?

I intentionally choose examples that avoided obvious negligence. I think the investigators, along with LE, are probably attempting to ascertain precisely that scenario. We aren't at liberty to discuss those who are POI's until they become a suspect. Someone at the campground may have believed they would be deemed negligent and that resulted in the creation of a "disappearance" story. There may have been a history of violence, alcohol, drugs, child abuse, etc. in their past. The advantage Klein has over LE is that he can issue public statements that are designed to rattle those with knowledge of what happened that day. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that LE is working in the background to orchestrate the press releases. :moo:

I wouldn't describe that as an accident.
SABBM

That was one of the options I thought of as being worse than neglect or accident.
Sounds like something happened that a person(s) were afraid enough about to conceal his body. So sad the way this is looking.
No one is perfect ... but in my opinion there's no excuse for harming a child. None. (-- if that is what happened to DeOrr)
