I'm not sure what "this" refers to, but assuming you mean if DeOrr lost his life due to something other than murder or any coverup, would his parents be charged with negligence? No, nor should they be. Nor should the grandpa be. Nor IR. IMO. I can't even imagine why anyone would even think there should be charges of negligence. Another example (there are many) is accidentally running over your child in the driveway. Imagine if every time a tragedy happened (without intent and not during the commission of a crime) everyone was charged with some type of negligence.

If the parents lied to LE about how Deorr died (if he did die) and where his body is now, etc., etc., at the very least their wages should be garnished to pay for the resources used to search for him.

I still think something happened even before they went camping. jmo

IMO, if anyone there was committing a crime, they would be charged with that offense. IMO, no one would be charged with negligence unless it was offered in a plea deal in lieu of a greater offense. Something similar happened in Nevada. IIRC, the parents and friends were doing drugs, a neighbor snuck in and took the daughter, murdered her, and drove with her dead body in his camper to the strands. I don't think the parents or anyone in that home were charged with anything. Don't you think the pain and suffering involved with tragically losing your child might be punishment enough? JW

Yes, but at the same time, do you think a parent who lost a child because they had no idea they could unlock a door should get the same punishment as a parent who was passed out drunk while their child was drowning in the bath?

There's an interesting update on the KIC facebook regarding a certain KM.

I wish they would just ignore him. All this attention is just fuel on a fire.

I thought the last place Deorr Jr was seen was next to the big rock by the picnic table? ....I just don't know the truth of anything anymore...

Sheriff Bowerman also confirmed that drones are being brought to the Timber Creek/ Stone Reservoir area but doesn't believe they will be used in the search. Instead the drones will be used to document the area for evidence if a trial in connection to DeOrr's disappearance is ever convened.

This has stuck in my head since it was first posted July 21, 2015 to WS.
IMO Bowerman was covering his legal bases already then, for some reason. Maybe now, with all this new going's on, he's probably glad he did. Just hope he has documented lots more if this keeps on in the direction it appears to be heading.

I personally hope if Little DeOrr is deceased, it was due to him being lost to the elements instead of by human intervention.

Little Malik and Lonzie are prime examples and I pray this sweet baby boy didn't endure the same terrors.

"This comes despite grim news from private investigator Philip Klein*who says he doesn't believed DeOrr is still alive.*We asked Klein*via Skype*if he has found any physical evidence of DeOrr's death."I cannot comment on that right now, I*will be up front and honest with the public and say there is forensic evidence," said Klein."

From same article:
Chief Deputy Steve Penner with the Lemhi County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday he didn't want to comment on Klein's latest release, but did send a statement: "The Lemhi County Sheriff's Office reports that new leads have developed in the missing person case of 3-year-old DeOrr Kunz. Investigators have obtained previously withheld information regarding the case and the investigation continues."

Philip Klein says he has been in communication with the Lemhi County Sheriff's Office.

So it does sound like there is evidence that proves he is no longer alive. :(

What would that be?

Mr. Klein said he would not comment on if they found physical evidence but he did say they have forensic evidence.

  • #614
I kinda figured there would have to be some type of physical evidence to make such a bold statement completely ruling out him wondering off or an animal attack. Now the big question is who was involved.

My heart is just broken for this little baby...so innocent and sweet and undeserving of any harm.

I wonder where. In the truck maybe, or on his blankie? :( So sad.

"He says his team is getting close to solving the case and his investigators are heading back to Idaho soon for what he calls the second phase -- reconstructing the crime scene and walking back through the timeline."

I guess it's a crime scene again.
