the investigation turned in January because that's when KLEIN INVESTIGATIONS publicly released their findings. I love LE but I think they really dropped the ball on this one. Just the fact that JM was dragging around his supposed "blankie" all over the place...why didn't the dogs hit on THAT then? Why wasn't it confiscated as evidence? Frankly, I think when they went to the store in the morning is when everything happened including disposal. Once back to camp, they ask ggpa..Hey where's Deorr Jr. and gramps is "I thought he was with you.." I am so happy they at least officially named them suspects now tho, even if God forbid, this turns into a Kyron Horman fiasco, at least they will be under a cloud of suspicion now and hopefully no one will continue to give money thru all their fundraisers to them anymore.

Wasn't it said that D. Sr. was supposed to work that Friday but went camping? I seem to remember talk of his boss being supportive even though D. Sr. had called in sick when not really sick.

I think the lady at the convenience store may be the last one to see Deorr alive. Maybe he is close to there and that is why Dad wanted to hurry up and state that the lady was wrong and it wasn't Deorr. So he was bawling, dirty etc..Why do you dispose of a body if it's an accident? You don't you only dispose of a body if you think that by finding it that it can be determined that it was not an accident at all. Perhaps a punch in the stomach, blunt force head trauma, something like that.
I think they found someplace between leodore and the camp ground. Just my opinion.. Possibly to cover up abuse.

Their behavior post-disappearance is much more indictative of guilty parents....barely talking to the media, making up suspects to blame, etc.

Exactly! Let's also not forget passing up a $10k reward to find Deorr where they didn't have to put up a cent of their own money.

So happy that this case is starting to move. I hope for justice for DeOrr.

I haven't been following that closely. I saw mention that the polygraph of the GP and IR may be inconclusive because of their mental statuses or whatever. Can someone tell me what exactly is "wrong" with them?

This leads me to think that perhaps the extended family knows what happened? Maybe they are covering for someone other than the parents? Maybe there was an accident while someone was supposed to be watching and both JM/DK and their families feel they need to protect?

Beezneez could you point me to the comment in particular that you are referring to? I skimmed through and didn't see...

Or killed and disposed of on the way to or from Leadore early Friday afternoon.
This is probably totally pointless to wonder, but why? I get that there are sick people, but this woman had partial custody of other children and their father seems to be on the ball about things (I live in the area and know people who know people... just take that as my opinion I guess). My point is he doesn't seem like the type of father who would just passively share custody with someone who he felt was potentially dangerous to children. They also seem to have a great deal of extended family in the area, a lot of support in raising little Deorr.
I can almost see them being drunk or something and "losing" him, then panicking and covering it up. Once it snowballed onto a national level they just went with it because they knew that he was already gone and they were in it pretty deep. That makes sense to me with their hesitation to push for more coverage/attention. They just wanted it to go away.
There are so many different ways you could speculate on what happened and why it happened, nothing makes any more sense than anything else. I hope her other two kids are being shielded from this mess.

I could always tell when my stepdaughter was lying to me, she would talk just like Deorr Sr in his first interview and how he just goes on and on about unimportant info..like making up stuff to say TMI but all about NOT the Elephant in the room.. They were so calm and composed for people who had a missing child. I had never watched it before, so watched it today and yea its suspicious for sure. Way too calm.

I think the trip to the store "as a family", was highly suspect... they could've disposed of DeOrr on the way... and then got a receipt with the French fries as
attempt to place Deorr alive.

The sheriff said the investigation began to turn in the second week of January after the FBI and behavior analysts turned over their findings. Detectives brought them in yet again for follow up interviews and they continued with their story, the sheriff says.

I remember Sheriff B stating a while back he was still waiting on those findings from the FBI. I believe he already had his suspicions but needed more confirmation. JMHO

Oh wow I admit i have been avoiding these threads. The toddlers always do something to me. I've re-watched the interview with the parents and they have SO MUCH TO SAY! There is NEVER this much info, IMO from a scared parent. DeOrr Sr. is just so flipping chatty. I haven't liked the feeling I get from him from the start. I m praying this is the first step to recovering this baby. One of them has to break soon.

Sometimes you have to SHARE custody whether you like it or not, even if you know the ex may not be what you want your kids around. Judges dont always let one person have sole custody in fact they are more likely to give shared custody unless you have some really damming things, even then is questionable. Believe me I know, I had to share custody of my kids even when myself and my family knew my kids were not very safe at their dads...so its not always up to the parents ..just saying.

Yeah... Deorr Sr was thanking the SAR a little too much. (Thanking them for not finding him IMO)

Just thought about this. Nancy Grace is going to have an absolute field day with this tonight.

Im with the PI. I have a guess how but do not have a clue why. So sad. The only why I can only fathom is that someone lost their patience with the little guy and got carried with punishment. I cannot believe any premeditated scenarios. ..

Um, it is a comment on the story that East Idaho News posted on their Facebook account. The name jumps out as a common one in this case & the remarks indicate that two of the four POI's need to be looked at closer.

Oh okay Beez..I saw that. Just thought he was trying to deflect suspicion to someone else, not that he had any real knowledge. I mean, if they really thought that IR had done something, why would they not tell that? Thanks for replying though...

I said I would be back when there was news. Many of us suspected the parents <modsnip> I said many times I was here for that helpless baby and I still am. I believe when DK was hauling up the road to supposedly call 911 I believe he was taking care of the problem then. I think he gave the excuse of calling 911 so when records were checked he would have a reason to have left the campsite. All jmo
