So the little fella WAS at the campsite. Another piece fitted in to the jigsaw.

IR seems like a simple kind of lad, I don't mean that in a negative way, but it seems he has been thrust into a situation way outside the realms of his normal life. I kinda liked him.

I'm not gonna lie, I want to give him a hug. He fixes bikes and gives them away. It's terrible for anyone to take advantage of him.

Isaac only confirmed that DeOrr was at the campground. He did not say when this was, but it must have either been Thursday night when they arrived at 9:30, during the night, Friday morning before the family went to the store, or Friday afternoon when they came back and DeOrr went missing.

  • If he only saw him on Thursday night something must have happened overnight.
  • If he saw him Friday morning maybe something happened on the trip to the store
  • If he saw him Friday morning just minutes before he vanished, and just an hour before LE were called, then something happened very quickly. If that's the case and Deorr's body was removed from the campground it can only have been when DK "hauled up the road".
He's surprised the parents are suspects so must have believed the other theories, if the parents are involved they hid it well. I wonder why he allegedly didn't help search though? That bugs me. I'd be very interested to know more about that, and whether he helped for the next day or two.

He *allegedly* didn't help. According to the main suspects in this case. Who also didn't help search, because they weren't allowed to.

He had an adequate command of the English language and had no problems understanding questions and answering them. Even when the other producer tried to slip him up, he managed to avoid answering the question. I saw absolutely nothing that would be a "cause" for him to receive inconclusives on his polygraphs, as Bowerman would have us believe. IMO

Exactly. IMO

These are the specific questions IR would not comment on:

EATON: What do you remember what happened up there?
REINWAND: I don’t want to comment on that.
EATON: Do you remember the last time you saw little DeOrr?
REINWAND: No comment.

[at this point IR confirmed DeOrr was there and he saw him, but he did not offer any details nor was he asked if he saw him on more than one instance or if DeOrr had been playing, sleeping, etc during the or any instance he'd seen him]

STEPHAN ROCKEFELLER, EastIdahoNews.com Producer: Where were you when you first heard someone was missing? What were you doing and what was going through your mind?
EATON: Were you fishing? Were you downstream when you heard?
REINWAND: I’m not supposed to disclose any information. I’ve been asked not to.

Are you privy to his medical records? Do you have more information than Bowerman and the FBI? In other words, how on earth could you know this and insinuate that Bowerman is lying about the poly results? Why all the accusations against the people trying to solve this case who have no horse in the race--who are just trying to do right by DeOrr?

If SB is 99% sure that little DeOrr was at the campsite, the fact that IR says DeOrr was there must not have completely convinced SB.

SB said that very early on though, right?

Suspicion is one thing; public condemnation is another.

A thanks just didn't seem enough.

I couldn't agree more, and feel it should be applied to whomever.

When he said "People fear the unknown" - it's true. He did seem scary and creepy hiding behind the door in the first interview (or ambush, as some so rightly called it!), but now after watching that interview and hearing what he has to say, he doesn't seem scary at all. Maybe that was his lawyer's idea. Let people see that he has nothing to hide and he isn't scary or suspicious.

I never got that he was scary or creepy. I got that he had been woken up at silly o'clock in the morning, probably hours before his usual wake up, after a night on the beer/spliffs/Xbox/whatever, in his underpants, by someone firing questions about a missing child. I've said before you'd get pretty much the same response from me.

That's not to say I've never doubted him, I probably have at some point (I've changed my mind a few times... and reserve the right to change it again!), but he's never been my no1 suspect. The parents behaviour in all of this has made the alarm bells ring the loudest.

I thought he did have problems understanding and answering questions... The very first question made that clear. He took it at face value, and failed to read Nate's true meaning into it. Moo.

There is a reason people, like me, suspected him. I will not apologize for being suspicious. He has a criminal history that includes sexual assault, a long drug history, and was very sketchy in that early TV interview. I feel fine about being suspicious of him.

He was never found guilty of sexual assault, and I see nothing about drugs on his rap sheet. Just pointing this out to be fair to IR, nothing to do with your suspicious feelings about him, which I definitely understand and respect.

Criminal defense attorney Allen Browning speaks like a really good criminal defense attorney.

He said Vernal hired the PI. And some other stuff that doesn't really stand out to me at this time. Just a lot about defending the falsely accused and LE interview tactics.

Great interview! Agree completely with Mr. Browning! At some point, you have to say enough is enough and lawyer up. You've taken lie detectors tests, you've cooperated with interrogations - at some point - a line must be drawn.

Also, Bowerman said there were mistakes on his criminal record.

ITA. There may have been a lot of parts that were edited out too.

I have questions about searching. JM/DK/Family/Friends were excluded from the official search zone at some point but I remember video of DK going off on his ATV onto the mountain doing his own searches. I guess other friends/family did similar?

So I wonder if the witness(es) being sort or talking are to do with things witnessed in the days/weeks after the disappearance? Obviously if they all were always accompanied by officials, I can dismiss this thought.

Well, in something so critical, I myself wouldn't say I was 100% sure if I hadn't seen him there with my own two eyes, would you?

Question: What was the reason given that the parents weren't allowed to search certain areas?

Nate said at the beginning it was unedited

Now, which one of you glorious people has transcribed the interview? I'm sure somebody will have (hope so!)

Thanks!

It's transcribed already in the article the video appears on.
