Neesaki I copied & pasted from my copy & pasted notes from that article quoted, so the word inconclusive has been omitted. ~ my apologies.

To better understand what is being said ...

Would LE really ask such an open-ended question as "Have you ever abused your son?" as a *control* question? I'd think that would be a part of the actual poly. I'd think the same would apply to spanking. It doesn't really sound like this would be a control question, per this link, http://www.nap.edu/read/10420/chapter/12#255, but polys are hardly my area of expertise, so I'll bow out and say that I trust SB and the FBI as of now until given good reason not to.

Thank you Donjeta, I was getting tired of looking! What's interesting is which one did he really say? I don't think it was both because they're the same articles except for that. Ok, I'm going to go check out the video.

This paragraph in the KSL link isn't in quotes:

Bowerman says portions of polygraph tests administered to Kunz and Mitchell have come back inconclusive - including questions about knowing what happened to DeOrr, why the child disappeared and where the toddler is located.

So IMO is the journalists words.

Well, I didn't see a video, but that article on ksl.com is from the one and only :drumroll: Nate Easton with East Idaho News. And "less than truthful" is used in the original article, not "inconclusive" . See above post #667 for that quote from EIN. It's easy to see how things can get so confusing when the media reports things second hand and misquotes those seemingly small details. Should we keep looking? :)

LOL, I wonder if ksl.com copied your quote, Dee. ;)

What exactly do you want them to share about him?

I would love for them to share the truth. But other than that, it would have been nice to see them have more to say about their son than, let's say, is said about the search teams.

I wonder how the phone signals were for all the people searching. Has it been concluded that the "no signal" comment could be plausible?

Could it be a case of Nate Easton editing his wording after posting it but some news outlets who used it didn't catch the change?

I will try to check in the future to make sure the article I'm quoting hasn't been updated.

Yes, Donjeta that is exactly what happened.

What exactly do you want them to share about him? I mean I know that his favorite song was the hot dog dance from the mickey mouse club house and he called it the "puppy dance". There has actually been a lot spoken about him and what kind of little guy he was.

But not to pick you apart but how do you know they havent shared much about him? They might have talked about him for three hours today but you wouldn't know because your not important to them. And that's not ment in a bad way but they obviously have a lot going on.

And if someone loses a child (doesn't matter how) it's probably hard for them to talk about them. It would be emotional to even say his name. Give them some time to grieve. They have lost a child, have been convicted by the media, named suspects, and have some weirdo reversing their speech. And you want them to talk more freely about Deorr to people just waiting to pick apart everything they say? That doesn't make much sense.

Anywho, do you have a link for the assumptions you've stated as fact?

If your child had really been abducted or was lost in the wilderness, then rolling into a ball is not going to help. As far as I know, we have yet to find a body and SB has stated they are still searching. So if they are grieving a lost child then they know something we don't know. I think it's accurate to state that that they havent been the best communicators and I think the interviewers are partially at fault...but regardless I struggle to imagine the scenario reported, DeOrr on the camping trip, and DeOrr engaged in life in general because nobody has given us an accurate depiction of his personality. They do themselves a disservice by not getting the word out.

There are other ways to accomplish this too. Organizations like the Klaas Foundation can advocate for parents and even provide spokespersons because its true that some people are too devastated to perform that role. A spokesperson is a very integral aspect of a missing child case and that communication with the public is critical to the investigation in many ways. I said yesterday...this was their time to speak for their son...to advocate for his rights and to do everything in their power to advance the investigation and they failed.

We know JM got a signal and so did GGF.

If they were less than truthful in their answer to that specific control question (for example) that would cause their answers to the relavent questions to perhaps be misinterpreted, IMO.
But if they want their child to be found, why be less than truthful (lie) about anything??

.....to pee or not to pee

But seriously is being a spokes person not what DeOrr's twin sister is doing?
They didn't exactly crawl into a ball as we all know that SB has said over and over that they have been cooperative.

It doesn't matter what they do. If they had talked about him more then it'd be they are guilty because they talked more about their child then searching for him. It's all a matter of opinions mixed with people's emotions of what they THINK the parents should or shouldn't of done. There is no wrong or right opinion on it. To pee or not to pee.

We covered this an hour ago. His change reflected his desire to convey to the media and public the fact that there were some questions they answered honestly, but the relevant questions they did not. In essence their honest answers do not matter but I assume SB wanted to present as fair and unbiased description of the results as possible.

I believe "less than truthful", "inconclusive", what have you, really is the sin of omission rather than commission. Less than truthful means to me that they ain't telling the WHOLE truth, they're OMITTING something.

It wasn't. It's a restaurant in Idaho Falls. (Mitchell's Restaurant, fwiw).
Excellent, thank you! Not that it matters, but those photos seem to give a sense of Deorr's growing personality.

I know. He strikes me as just such a goofy little ham in that picture. That's really such a fun age anyway, and he looks like he has such a vibrant little personality that must have been so enjoyable.

Sending prayers of love and comfort to those who love DeOrr.

Little DeOrr - you need to be found. You deserve to be found. So many people care about this little tyke and wonder where he is.

Hopefully there will be a break in the investigation this week.

All I know is Bowerman's phrase "less than truthful" came out AFTER he inadvertently used "deception" so it makes sense (to me) that the inconclusive came out before "less than truthful" and perhaps even in that same article. JMO though.

Yeah seeing as how the article in the East Idaho News looks now I think the reporter first inadvertently used inconclusive to refer to the parents and someone pointed out that it was an error and it got edited.

The sheriff has given some direct quotes to indicate that the parents may have been deceptive in some questions. If it was just inconclusive I don't think he would say that. JMO.
