New report posted on Klein's FB.

:ohwow::bricks::what: wow! No beating around the bush there! Can't believe some of the "missing" items were there the whole time. Anyone know what the insurance tracking thing is? And there was a credit card found? That part kind of confused me...

I googled the insurance tracking device because I was confused as well. It's one of those things you plug into a socket on your vehicle and it records things acceleration, deceleration, speed, braking, turns, etc. Then you send you send it back to the insurance company after a set amount of time and they will determine the discount you receive on your car insurance. Unfortunately for LE, these devices don't record GPS coordinates.

What I don't understand is why the LE didn't find these items long ago? Didn't they search VDK/JM' apt?

ETA: to bad DeOrr' boots weren't found.

They found his little cars. And a camo jacket.

Maybe he had lots of little cars and several camo jackets... it's still sad they'd leave any of his things behind.

I wonder if the insurance tracking thing is one of those gadgets that "plugs into" your car and can gather information about driving habits i.e., speeding, etc. I think Geico has one and based on the types of information it can gather about your driving it can lower car insurance rates? I wonder if it also has a gps like feature that would say where the vehicle had driven?

You were way ahead of me!

It's all a bit contradictory though, if you claim a dog hit in several places, yet there is no evidence DeOrr was on the mountain.

I had the impression that VDK/JM lived with VDK' GF, and didn't know they had there own apt till... gosh, at least 6 months in.

The dogs were cadaver dogs, I believe, so what they hit on may not necessarily be related to DeOrr. It's also possible that he was on the mountain but just never seen (and therefore verified) by non-family.

I'm thinking its hitting dead smell not specific persons

Holy ****!!! Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor.

I mean it's exactly what we all thought but.... Wow! To give us ALL THAT.

A possible holding site and/or a possible burial site?!?!
The missing jacket and toys?! Ahhh!

No evidence he was there in the capacity that the family had made it seem (ie: alive).

Which is still confusing though because if it's not specific to a person it does not prove Deorr was on the mountain.

EDIT: Nevermind, misunderstood something. Still confusing though that there are cadaver hits on the mountain and nothing to prove he was there.

I don't have FB, can someone please explain to me what is going on? What was found, where was it found and who found it? I'm dying here.

That's likely why those sites are now turned over to LE for further examination. They will be able to dig and run DNA analysis anywhere needed.

I went back and realized I misunderstood point #3 under Preliminary Findings of Phase 4. I thought he meant there was now evidence he was on the mountain, but he said the opposite.

It reads: "We now have no evidence other than the testimony of the four persons on the site on July 10, 2016 that indicates that Deorr Kunz Jr., a minor child, was on the mountain as testified by these witnesses."

BBM. The first bolded is poorly worded and confusing IMO. Using the word "now" in that sentence makes me think that something has changed in the evidence, when really nothing has. The second bolded part I don't think I need to explain. Not that any of this makes a difference in the big picture, it's just frustrating that there seems to be an error or confusing language in every single thing he releases. Klein's heart is in the right place IMO but his use of the English language and attention to detail in public releases could really use some work (to put it nicely). /rant
