Both versions could work, I guess; maybe she picked DeOrr up, put him in his car seat, then VDK buckled him in. Both parents then shared the potato wedges and donut holes with Deorr.

Was the car seat in the front or back of the truck?

Klein does comment below the post that there were no witnesses at the store.

IR shares more details, timeline, on East Idaho News:

The next morning, July 10, Reinwand recalls seeing DeOrr as the group ate breakfast. The child was wearing large cowboy boots and “clumping around” the campsite.

“He was playing and trying to throw stuff in the fire. His dad got after him for it but he was just like a normal 2-year-old,” Reinwand says.

Ok, so IR saw a very alive little boy. I'm so confused.

Some key points from Isaac's interview:

Reinwand says Walton, Mitchell, Kunz and young DeOrr arrived at his home on the afternoon of July 9, 2015. “There were two trucks. Bob showed up first and then everyone else showed up,” Reinwand says. “Bob had been my friend for over five years, but it was the first time I’d ever seen the others.”

Reinwand says DeOrr was in a child’s seat in the back of Kunz’s truck. “He seemed just like a normal, happy outgoing kid,” Reinwand recalls.

The child was wearing large cowboy boots and “clumping around” the campsite. “He was playing and trying to throw stuff in the fire. His dad got after him for it but he was just like a normal 2-year-old,” Reinwand says.

Reinwand recalls arriving at the fishing spot 300 to 400 feet from the campsite. Mitchell was with him, but Reinwand says Kunz and DeOrr were not. He assumed they were lagging behind. Reinwand says he then went to different part of the creek to fish by himself. “I was down there fishing for a while and that’s when I noticed Bob was on the ridge pacing back and forth,” Reinwand says. “I asked him what was going on and he said, ‘Little DeOrr is missing,’ and I was like, ‘What?’”

Reinwand says he spent 30 minutes trying to find DeOrr. Walton, Kunz and Mitchell were also searching the area surrounding the campground. “(Mitchell) was out in the sagebrush looking,” Reinwand says. “She came back to camp and I talked to her a little bit. She seemed pretty upset.”

He says it’s possible an accident happened and DeOrr died, but he doesn’t believe Walton had anything to do with it.

Reinwand says he has “nothing to hide” and feels people have misjudged him even though he has been cooperative with law enforcement. “I felt that I was being scapegoated or maybe partially accused,” Reinwand says, noting that he hasn’t spoken with Kunz or Mitchell since the camping trip. “Bob has come around a few times, Reinwand says. “He seems to be doing OK.”

OMG!
This poor man.....the year he has had!
First his son goes missing.
Then he suffers a year of Internet bullying, outrageous accusations and the most vile "theories" about what may have happened to his beloved son with no evidence that he has done anything to his son but love him.
In the meantime, as so often happens when a child is lost/dies, the parent's relationship did not survive.
Now, this.
We know that he is an independent contractor. That means NO income (he's a truck driver, right?) until he recovers enough to do his job again, which could take quite a while with an ankle/leg injury.
Will it ever end?

Little Man....I have my candle lit for you. Hope you can go home soon.

<mod snip> For the record I agree with you.

So now my question for IR is, did IR physically see DeOrr after he woke from his nap? Either before JM/VDK went to the store, or after their return. I'm now thinking kleins timeline of 8:00 am is correct.

Why would you be confused. That has been IR's statement from the beginning.

In the article you attached you missed the piece where IR said he (IR) went back into his tent for a nap. He didn't say DeOrr went into his tent to take a nap.

Looking forward to Sheriff Bowerman's interview tonight, see if he gives any clarification about his belief there was a homicide.

<mod snip> For the record I agree with you.

I don't know what to believe. All I know is my grandson is close in age to DeOrr, he'll be 3 next month. My grandson was late to walk but when he started walking, he caught on very fast. Back when he was 2, he could be way up the block in the blink of an eye. How many kids have gone missing that dogs haven't been able to track? That one little boy who ran from his grandma then was found miles away deceased. It happens. Back when DeOrr 1st went missing I felt like the dogs they brought in weren't the right type to track him. All I know is there is a circus since Klein took over the case but the fact is there is no evidence to suggest homicide. I think either little DeOrr did run fast and far or there was an accident that they covered up because they were afraid of CPS. They failed 2 lie detector questions on what happened to DeOrr on if they know where he is; but if they're convinced he did run far and is still on that mountain, I assume they would fail the lie detector questions when they said no.

There are days I start putting my grandson in the car seat, I'll try to buckle the top, he won't settle down so my daughter jumps in to do it then I'll finish. Even with eating, we both hand him fries or some burger. If I had to write something I may forget to detail it. I do wonder how many times they've said that same thing and are tired of writing it. Sheriff's version could be the most accurate.

But didn't the latest interview I read (can't remember if it was Klein or SB, I think Klein) said that it depends on which version of IR's story you want to believe? And when asked if they have any independent sources (outside the 4 adults at the campsite) to verify the last time Deorr was seen he responded "there are none". IR's statement about seeing Deorr may have been made very early on in the case. I get the impression his story continues to change.

But then again, the timeline has been expanded to 8 am. So little Deorr could have been very much alive at breakfast... And the unthinkable happened while IR was napping, or during the trip to the store... Ugh, this story is so convoluted.

One thing I'm positive of: this is a circus.

Here's the interview. Unfortunately it's edited rather than "raw.". What IR says doesn't match up 100% with the written article but it's close. He says DeOrr was "wandering around, playing" rather than "clumping" (1:45) and he hesitated when asked about breakfast (2:20). He doesn't sound quite as assured as his written quotes.

I don't know if any of that means anything though. I stopped posting during the wild animal discussion, back when we weren't allowed to talk about the people but I've followed along. I don't know which is more frustrating; arguing about mountain lions or trying to suss out who's telling the truth in their statements. Sigh.

Thanks MsMarple. Well, IR says he DID see DeOrr going with JM/VDK to the store, and again, when they returned.

BBM Both by Klein, who was not there in the beginning and we do not know what information he received from SB but I seriously doubt any Sheriff anywhere would give open access to an ongoing case file to anyone including a PI. Klein said he expanded the timeline, not LE. And Klein keeps posting these tiny snippets of video and tiny sentences from a whole video or statement. If everything Klein has on this case is so incriminating then why not go public with all of it.

I will tell you it has nothing to do with the "prosecutorial phase" or evidence. If Klein (big IF) did discover evidence he is bound by law to turn it over to LE. Klein speaks of "only wanting to find DeOrr" and not participate in "sideshows" but then he starts most of them.
