I've been chatting with a friend who is training for SAR and helped search for Geraldine Largay for TWO years on the Appalachian Trail in Maine. They knew her location to a few square miles. Aircraft, dogs and hundreds of searchers and it took two years for someone to randomly stumble on her remains. They got within a few hundred yards of her location and still never saw her.

I think we'd all prefer that DeOrr ran off on a little adventure, got tired, curled up somewhere and simply never woke up. That would have to be the best case scenario (aside from him being found alive of course). Nobody wants a child to have suffered at the hands of his parents, or to have been in pain, or to have known fear and sadness in his final hours.

And honestly? I think if the law enforcement officials and private detectives (hired by the family, no less) hadn't come out and shouted "THEY'RE GUILTY" I would probably be thinking it was another Noah Chamberlin situation without the sad conclusion. But shout they did, and that combined with the "too big boots" thang and the hope that LE would not call out innocent/grieving parents in this way, leads me to strongly believe there's something amiss. I'm definitely not the only one, but I hope we're all wrong and DeOrr passed away peacefully somewhere. At this point I want to say we shall see, but in reality we might never find out. :(

I've not watched it all yet, but an observation from part II before I forget - Isaac was in the creek, he saw GGP pacing/worried, he went up and spoke to GGP by which time Jessica & Vernal were apparently already off searching. Why on earth would the other adults not have shouted to Isaac first to see if DeOrr was with him? Surely that would be the first thing you'd do?!?!

Klein is subjecting them to water torture....drip, drip, drip.

excellent analogy! That's precisely what he's doing!

IR stated VDK drove to the cattle guard area near the campground. He made it sound like VDK got into his truck to go look for DeOrr.

I'll tell you what, I've watched all 3 parts of Isaac's interview and that interviewer has done a brilliant job in my opinion. Looks like it's possibly at Isaac's house, he certainly looks comfortable there, he interviewer is dressed down and mirroring Isaac's position, all nice and relaxed. I'd love to see the whole unedited version but I imagine there's lots of hesitation and repeating information. I don't see anything in Isaac's body language that gives me the hinks (though I am no expert) but I just do not get the impression he's lying. If he is, he's a bigger genius than we had him down for.

According to Chelsea's piece, didn't V and J go to two different places in Leadore to get diesel? Two places in addition to the Stage Stop?

Yes, because they were unable to get it at the first place, they were told to go to a second. That place was a shop of some sort and they got some off-road fuel, the kind that has the dye in it. But I suppose that was better than nothing if they were in need. So...they only got fuel in one place that was talked about in that interview.

So why was IR so tired that he had to go back to bed in his tent and didn't get up until about 12:00pm. This according to IR's latest interview. Did everyone else go back to bed as well that morning? Did they even get out of bed? Was little DeOrr left to his own devices while they were all crashed out? Did they all have a big night around the campfire drinking whisky or partaking in other substances and really couldn't function normally in the morning?

Vernal has stated that he hates camping and was looking for any excuse to get out of there. IMO therein lies the answer to what happened to DeOrr. An argument with JM perhaps. A spiteful retaliation to her crying son and in an instant DeOrr is gone. He didn't wander off, he wasn't abducted, an animal didn't take him. He was silenced by the only people he trusted.

Is it possible that Isaac meant Suburban when he said Blazer? I'm not aware that a Blazer was at the campground? Supposedly, the two vehicles were Bob's Suburban (with the camper) and Vernal's truck.

I think you are correct that Isaac was mistaken. Some of the old Blazers from the 90's looked like a lot like shorter Suburbans or Tahoes. I used to get them mixed up.

Because they knew he wasn't with Isaac, IMO.

Yes, two places (after the Stage Stop): a run-down station where the pumps were out and then Peterson Welding where they bought the diesel.

Jessica stated that they went to the Stage Stop first and Vernal went in to ask if they had diesel (and they told him to try the station down the road). I am confused because I thought they went to the Stage Stop to buy feminine products, first and foremost. Wasn't that the main purpose of the trip down to Leadore? Did they go to the Stage Stop twice then? First to buy feminine products and snacks and then again for Vernal to go in and ask if they sold diesel? Why didn't they ask the first time they were there and what did they do in between the two store visits? Or, did they get diesel first and then go back to the Stage Stop for (urgent) feminine products and snacks? Sorry, but it makes no sense to me and why has it taken a year for this detail about the diesel purchase to be publicly spoken of? It's been a rumor and topic of debate for a long time but was always omitted from any official (mainstream media) news release. Every news story has always said that they made one trip to Leadore and that was to go to the Stage Stop. Now we are told that they also made a stop for diesel in Leadore (in addition to filling up at in Idaho Falls station the evening prior)? Curious indeed.

There is so much information coming out, with all the interviews and info. from Klein's site. Is that why SB's interview with Tricia isn't being discussed here, or is there another thread for that?

I have a creek near my home and if someone were up the ridge yelling, I'm not sure I'd hear them. And my hearing is not perfect, so someone would pretty much have to come down to where I was at to deliver a message if need be. Not sure how loud the creek is there though. But surely someone should have went and let him know I would think.

If its an hour and 47 minutes from Idaho falls to leodore, then however many miles to the campground, you would not be out of diesel unless you didn't fill up in the first place. It would not take a full tank of diesel to get to your destination. So, Vernal must have not put much diesel into his tank the prior evening. I would be checking his place of diesel purchase prior to the trip to see if he prepaid with cash, like a 20 or what and see if there are some missing miles somewhere. Just a thought. Cause if he filled up, he should not need gas again that soon.

Red-dyed diesel is supposed to be for off-road usage only...

Someone said something about Isaac's fishing pole being broken but I have re-listened to everything from yesterday and now I can't find it? Does anyone also remember that and if so can you point me in the right direction?

Not much difference between 28 minutes ( what an odd number to throw out there) and an hour, right?
WINK WINK.

Another thing that struck me... In Issac's recent interview, he implied that he first learned DeOrr was missing when he looked up the bank to see GGP "pacing" back and forth. He asked what was wrong, because GGP looked upset, and was told of the child being missing. My question: wouldn't he have heard three adults hollering loudly in a panic, before being clued in only when he saw the pacing, worried-looking GGP? Granted, I'm not sure I have an accurate grasp on the lay of the land, but I've got to think that the sound of loud, panicked yelling would have carried.

Back to Klein's new post... His statements about the fuel fill-ups and receipts is interesting and goes to show how little the public actually knows about what all they have. I believe this trickling out of info is designed to make someone realize that they can run, but not hide, from the truth forever...whatever the truth may be. Let's hope someone breaks soon.

I missed that comment before, about the fill ups, computers and receipts. Maybe something happened while IR was napping all morning. They ran most of the fuel out driving to dispose of his body, thus the need for more fuel. Idk, I'm baffled.... Jmo

Maybe that would explain the conflicting stories about breakfast, maybe there was none. IR acted as though he couldn't remember, then only sort of remembered. Why would any of them lie about breakfast? There's a reason for everything.

Yes, it's illegal in Idaho to operate a motor vehicle on the highway using red-dyed diesel. But Jessica clearly said that Vernal filled up his truck with red-dyed diesel?

http://tax.idaho.gov/pubs/EBR00060_10-06-2008.pdf

not sure if you are asking, or maybe just stating...
was watching the news special from last night - around 5:15 mark - it's actually the reporter that says 'Vernel filled up his truck' at the place that sold red-dyed diesel, but I assume that means that Jessica said that at some point to her.
